Firstly Location. We like to walk so the Central Deborah was perfect. 10 minutes to the Bendigo Art Gallery. Maybe 15 minutes walk to the CBD. Plenty to see and do with a great pub across the road and a terrific bakery a couple of minutes away. Secondly, The Room. Simply very good - we are not talking 5 star resort here, just a better than average motel room. Big enough with a couple of comfortable arm chairs and a decent sized bathroom. We'll certainly stay there when next we pass through Bendigo. And, the guy on reception was extra pleasant and helpful. Thumbs up.
We had a very comfortable stay at the Central Deborah motel. Our room was spotlessly clean, a good size, a very comfortable bed and two tub chairs to sit in while watching tv + table and two chairs. Our room more than met our needs. What made our stay special are the delightful couple who manage this motel. they are warm and friendly and go out of their way to make your stay a happy one. Thank you Carla, Greg and staff.
The management team at Central Deborah Motel are seriously amazing! Having travelled some distance following my daughters ambulance, and spending all night in the emergency department at Bendigo Hospital, a rest was all my wife and I required. But where and who to call at 7am? Come to the rescue Carla and Greg. After speaking with Greg, he invited us to come immediately to the motel, and a room would be ready for us. We were welcomed on arrival with a concerned yet smiling face, and a key. We were checking in before the current guests had even checked out. (not the same room obviously!) Such a load off our minds during a very trying time. During our 2 night stay, all the staff we encountered went above and beyond our expectations, and were willing to help out with any requests we had. Even some requests were fulfilled before we even had to ask. (like mind readers, don't get that at your average motel!) The rooms were a very generous size, and the beds were fantastic. Very comfortable with no 'sink to the middle' motel sleep going on in this place. And considering it's amazing location, the room was very peaceful and a welcome distraction from the outside world. Having a good nights rest helped with our long days spent by my daughters bedside. I cannot recommend Central Deborah Motel enough, and Carla and Greg, thank you for making a very difficult time in my family a little less stressful. We will definitely be back, only next time, it will be for a family holiday. You will be highly recommended.
Great motel. Lovely clean rooms. Spacious. Good bathroom with heaps of bench space. Beds comfy. Fantastic location. Great pub across rd. Supermarket 5 mins walk. CBD 10 mins walk. Tourist Tram and gold mine next door. Hosts very friendly.
Travelling with a group of Bowlers we received a warm & friendly welcome. The beds were extremely comfortable and the showers were hot. We were served a hot breakfast the next morning , plenty of it at a great price. We congratulate the owners on running a terrific property and thanks them for their hospitality.
Recently stayed for a bowls tournament my husband was participating in. A group of us came over for two nights and booked out most of the motel. Our hosts Greg and Carla went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Carla welcomed us warmly and even offered shopping tips! Continental breakfast was included, with a small additional cost for a hot breakfast. The motel is positioned centrally with an easy walk into town. The motel is currently being renovated. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We will definitely return in future.
The motel is still a bit 80's but has everything that you require the bed is comfortable and the best thing is the water pressure in the shower so nice in the morning.1.5k's from Bendigo CBD. Staff are helpful and friendly. Has plenty of nice eateries within a kilometre. The most impressive thing is walk out your door and have the Deborah Mine standing their in all it glory
An excellent motel with care and attention to customers. Staff was above and beyond to help and advice. Very friendly and helpful. Rooms are very good and comfortable. A perfect place to stay both for business or leisure.
Located 10 min walk from centre of Bendigo. The family room had 1 queen and 3 single bed. The room was clean, comfy beds, amazing water pressure, good towels. The room is basic and dated but clean. Would stay again.
Thank you Carla for an awesome stay. Room was very comfy and had everything we needed, loved the friendly service and tourist advice. Highly recommended, easy walk into town and tourist tram leaves from the mine next door. Great pub across the road for a nice evening meal. Also a Beechworth Bakery across the road for breakfast or lunch.
