Deep clean these rooms!! Nasty something caked on bathroom walls, mildew in windows. Pool was great, waterslide fun for kids. We enjoyed the in room jacuzzi, it didnt work at first, but staff had it fixed right away. Breakfast was so so too....overall not a bad place to crash, but not anything to write home about.
Most friendly and helpful receptionist ever, so lovely and great first impression of hotel. Couldn't have been more sweet, and facilitating an early check in. If nothing else had gone right with hotel this lady ensured I would have left with a good impression. Fortunately everything about the hotel was exceptional. It had park and hot tub, kids really enjoyed it. It was clean, stylish, roomy with excellent service. Breakfast was beyond good and great value for money and service. Room itself was well equipped and comfortable. I could go on but suffice it to say I was very pleased with my stay, and although short and sweet this time, I hope to be back for a longer visit in the future.
The whole experience could have been better. We arrived and the gentleman that helped us initially was great. We went to our room which had a king bed and a jet tub, jet tub was great for sure. The place was very clean and smelled great! Unfortunately the bed was so hard I might as well slept on the floor. We didn't try to get switched or anything because by time we actually went to bed it was late. We tossed all night trying to get comfy and the really bright outside lights did not help a bit. We woke up and since I was sore and tired from a terrible sleep I decided the hot tub would be a good idea. Boy was I disappointed, I went at 830 and the hot tub was Luke warm. Thinking turning the jets on would heat it up I turned the timer on and went for a swim in the pool which was a tad cool but I don't mind that. Went back to the hot tub and it was still just warm. We went and had our free breakfast and it was what one would expect from a typical continental breakfast. Shortly after we went to check out and the woman behind the counter didn't even say good morning. She looked at me as I put down our keys and she did something on the computer and said "all good" to which I said "that's it?". No "how was your stay/sleep" no "have a nice day" no "thank you for choosing us" nothing.... we will not stay at a Travelodge again. (On a side note, don't book with Priceline. They are scam artists that post American dollar prices for Canadian hotels that look lower than everyone else. After you book and realize it's in American dollars and you were charged way more they will not refund you or give you a cheaper room. This did not effect my rating of this hotel however. Just a word of advice.)
This place is pretty expensive just for one night , however it was a last minute choice. The bed was comfortable enough to get 5 hrs of sleep and a continental breakfast that didn't offer much of a selection either . Umm don't think i'd stay here again , unless the toothpicks that were holding my eyelids open broke .
Great stay! We stayed in the Jacuzzi Suite on our way through Golden and loved it :) Very clean. Friendly, helpful staff. Breakfast didn't have as much selection as some places, but was very yummy none the less.
The hotel was clean and comfortable and had all the amenities including a small fridge, coffee maker and flat screen TV. Upon arrival we were given pool towels if we were to use the pool and/or hot tub facilities and water slide. Our room had a mountain view and was located right above the pool area. Breakfast was included. Toast, pancakes, fresh fruit, cereal, yogurt, coffee and oj were all available. Mornings were a little noisy as some people were slamming their doors on the way out. Will not be an issue if you are an early bird hunting for fresh pow! It should be noted that the Travelodge has Tesla super chargers on premises.
Just a quick trip to golden for some skiing and didn't plan too well for accommodations.Only stayed one night here and that was enough. The room was clean but that's about the only good thing.TV didn't work or did the coffee pot.The worst part was the truckers staying there left the rigs running all night .
This was a rest stop for us during our road trip. We book the Jacuzzi room with king size bed. The room was clean but that is where the good stops. The bed was hard and lumpy, everything hurt by morning. The pillows were as soft as a sack of flour. The bathroom had this terrible odour to it that made my throw up and gag every time I used it or even walked past it. In the morning I couldn't bare go near our room bathroom again so I though I will use the bathroom in the dining area ( for the free breakfast.) That bathroom hadn't been clean in an undetermined amount of time. My butt was left sticky form the toilet. There was nothing to dry hands with but an old cloth towel, that many other guest have been using, so unsanitary and gross. The dirt around the like the door knob and light switch. It was like a third world bathroom. Our room was directly above the office so all night you can hear cars stopping at office and re starting to move. It was also at top of stairs. So again all night the thumping of families up and down. The curtain were not helpful at all at keeping out the light. Our corner room had a whole wall of windows. It was so bright in there at night I could read my book. Breakfast was also underwhelming. We had a yogurt; that we ate with a fork cause there were no spoons. The coffee tasted like my room bathroom smelled. All in all I would recommend staying anywhere else!
Nice clean hotel. There is a pool with a water slide , sauna and hot tub on site. The pool however is not well maintained and when you see it in person you will see why and needs a renovation. One thing I liked was there is a picnic spot with BBQ's and a fire pit across the hotel making this a great spot for a family. Breakfast is served between 7-9 am and check out is at 11 AM, the times should be amended because it's almost as though they don't want ppl to show up for breakfast to save on cost. That's a huge reason why I did not give them 4 stars. Over all average venue however would not pay more than $90 for the stay per night.
We spent four days in beautiful Golden, BC in a well located room. The only reason we didnt move was the fact that the girls at the front desk were so courteous and genuine, plus it was a very busy time in Golden. The bed was very uncomfortable and we both got sore backs, we had a room with a jetted tub...first time running it....well I'm not sure how they are cleaned. Room upgrades are long overdue. Very poor wifi signal, along with very poor very basic cable. I asked to borrow a usb cable to plug in compluter but they said no cause the last guy took it home. Two of the mornings the free breakfast was a mess, the waffle irons didnt work as they were not cleaned. Overcrowding with two buses staying showed that they are not prepared to accomodate so many guests.
