The apartments are very spacious, however lack of ventilation as we were 3 pax staying in the apartment and one of us had to sleep in the living room where the smell from the kitchen easily filled the space. Though a little rundown, it is set in a good location with free parking underground. Would love to come back again.

We booked a 1 room apartment at shore. The location is just perfect. The hotel is just 3min walk.from.surfers paradise north tram.station. if you are coming from the airport then you can take a bus from.airport to broadbeach and from.there hop on the tram. There is a small convenience store near the hotel but better to buy from Woolworth at Cavill avenue tram station. You can take a tram to cavill avenue which is just 2 stations from the shore or can walk for 10min to reach there. The downside is that there is no housekeeping for 7days as the house keeping comes every 7days...smethjng like that is the policy so if the room.gets dirty you need to.clean with specially if upu coming from the beach then there is sand everywhere in the room. Also you the rubbish bin.yourself which is didn't like and there are signs everywhere in that if found dirty and the hotel staff has to take extra efforts then they will charge extra money.but understand that these are truly service apartments. You have equipment, induction gas, plates, utensils,knives,toaster,everything. Again since no housekeeping, then be prepared to use the same towels for the period of stay less than 7days.overall good location and great views.some amount if data free for wifi.

Staying at the Shore holiday apartments was lovely. Well decorated, comfy bed, well appointed. Can see the ocean from each apartment and only 2 minutes walk away. Very close to the shopping precinct and tram a few steps away. Security key gets you back in at night and for using in the elevator. Free parking and wifi. Small cafe joined on and lovely very reasonably priced meals.

Apartment room is very spacious, well planned, but is let down by its ageing (noticeable wear from humidity and salty air) could do with a renovation. Despite this the apartment is in a great location, 10 min walk from the main town, right across the road from the beach and a few minute walk to public transport. Considering the price we paid for it, we were very happy.

Feel as though I've made quite a 'find' with this small, self-serve apartment block. The reception staff (Dorothy & Kay) and gardener maintenance man (BOB) are friendly and helpful. Located literally on the beach road - you can enjoy the boulevard strolling on the walking track or get the salt and sand between you toes as you want. You can walk to central Surfers in 20-30 minutes (and go much further along the sea in both directions). Shores does have its own sparkling outdoor pool - suitable for 10 metre laps and a spa, all set in a very well kept garden with BBQ facilities. The apartments were renovated in 2015 and are extremely well kept. Clean. Bright. Very reasonably priced. No air conditioning but plentiful sea breezes and overhead fans. All rooms have some ocean view. Quite roomy for a solo traveller or a couple - with kitchenette, dining and living area (TV with satellite channels), separate toilet, shower (very hot water) and vanity area, plus a roomy bedroom with plenty of storage. Free, reliable wi-fi. Can be a bit noisy with the windows open but most of the time that's the pleasant roar of the ocean from the immediately adjacent surf beach. A real bonus is the attached GMC Diner cafe, which offers an eat in or takeaway menu of good fresh food that is remarkably inexpensive. Great for breakfast. You do not have daily hotel service here but linen and towels are fresh, you get some initial essentials and you can purchase extras at small cost from reception. Then there's the Pit Stop mini market and booze shops less that 100 metres around the corner at the back. Speaking of 'back', I'll be doing an Arnie! This is five stars (excellent) for overall value - the stars are relative to the value.

This older style complex is rated as 3.5 star by management, my "very good" review reflects this. Checked out from room 64 this morning after a three day stay. The one bedroom apartment was well presented - large tv with Foxtel, huge food preparation area with a large range of kitchen utensils and appliances. I was certainly impressed that an electric wok and rice cooker were included. Ideal for international guests. The bathroom area is a good size - the hot water in the shower was hot each day - much appreciated. The bed was large and very comfortable - needed a good sleep each night after activities during the day. There are three speed fans in the bedroom and lounge - once you work out the balance in each room the apartment cools down reasonably well. If you open windows to let in air when the cooler afternoon breeze comes in that also helps. Remember to close windows when you leave the apartment - to prevent any rain coming in while you are out. Be aware that windows do not have fly wire screens and to be careful looking out open windows.. There are views over to beach to the North and South of the comlpex . The Glink tram stop is around 100 metres from the complex making it easy to zoom around. Free car parking is provided both underground and at the rear- I found both areas ok as needed. The Shore is an apartment complex which needs to be cleaned and tidied up before check out otherwise costs can be incurred. Downstairs the attached GCM restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner - I enjoyed three breakfasts and one dinner - for the dinner I had a small meat lovers pizza special - it was great and filled the spot. The complex has security access to floors and the pool at all times and also to the building after hours. Remember to check your apartment door is closed when you leave each time or when you are inside. If you like apartment complexes and look for value - this could be the place for you. Recommended.

The apartment is very basic, with windows tightly screwed into position so narrow that a camera lens will not fit through for photos...I got 1 miniscule piece of soap for 5 days and was told I was lucky when I asked for another, as soap is only for the first day of my stay. Free wifi has issues...I had no internet for 2 of the 5 days I stayed there, and management would not listen to my complaint and it made me angry. I called the service who informed me I had used 512 mbs..fine but the free quota was 300mb a day. I should have had 1,500. The new restaurant downstairs is fantastic with great food and ice cream and friendly staff. I used to love staying here, but it has changed and the closed windows in this heat made the last night unbearably hot and sweaty. I am sorry but I will not be returning here again..and I booked for 5 days and nights..3 without Wifi...

As my title says, the location, view of outside beach (based on your apartment location), swimming pool facilities all makes the apartment a very good choice. The apartment is provided with all facilities in Kitchen, Micro, fridge, cooking range, utensils. Shops and restaurants are near by including Coles super market. There are few Indian restaurants although a bit costly but there is a Gujurati bhai shop Patel something near Taj Palace. The beach is just down side and you may enjoy as much as you may like. Take your towels and on return you may take shower and bath in swimming pool. Important thing to note is "the key" is important for every thing; pool, entrance, lift which you can not use without the key. This is some way uncomfortable since it is a physical key and single so you can not decide if few family members are roaming around and some wants to go inside. The windows are nice and big allows the wind inside or else the rooms have only fans which are not sometimes sufficient to cool. The room facilities are very well but prepare to spend for consumables as one time supplied only (soap, tissues etc) although a small shop is just down side. The bitter part of my trip was when I asked the receptionist for 20 minutes extension in the room, the lady refused rudely. I never faced any such problem any where in the world; a mere 20-25 minutes are even not required to asked for. The reception opens like office only and if you arrive late, you need to call from door and you will be guided after giving credit card details to open the locker and get room keys. Another feature needs improvement is limited internet of only 500 MB daily (why??).

To be honest, I've been coming to the Shore for years, but have been hesitant to review it because it's a favourite retreat. The Shore is an apartment hotel with only four units per floor, so it's usually quiet and doesn't feel crowded. All rooms have ocean views, and it's right across the street from Surfers Paradise beach. There's a great pool, and the new tram stops just behind it. And the staff are wonderful - especially Kay and Dorothy.

Spend 5 nights in its superior rm. Though it kinda look unglamourous compared to luxury apartments it did served well in terms of facilities . Recomend to book room with sea view.At 3-4am,able to catch the sunrise.My room was on the 11th floor. .n was windy. Location wise was great, it was neaby to the beach as well as the tram station,surfers paradise north.There's a convinience store right beside the apartment building. All in all, Decent place for couples or groups with mid range financial budget or means.
