We love this place as we come back here each time to spend a night on our way to/from Greece. A real premium hotel with everything it needs to offer - excellent rooms, food, wellness&spa, kind staff. However this was the first time we have noticed some drawbacks which mustn't be seen at such hotel: 1) at sauna, one large part of the bent was missing and sharp long nails were there at the very place you put your back! At the floor, just right after you come in, ther was anoter sharp nail comming out from the wodden floor you could step on! you cannot expect from costumers to watch for such dangerous traps in the dark of sauna, for gods sake. this is a 5* hotel. 2) we had ants in our room. yes, and here is a photo where you can see it. i dont know how they came there since we have just came for one night and carried no luggage, and tiny ants were all over the floor on the perfect thick carpet. What an irony! 3) some of the staff need to be well trained to make different types of cofee properly - some of them do not differ macchiato and capuccino, and some of them toss a lot of cinnamon in it before even asking a customer if they want it. We hope our critic will help to improve this place and put it back among 5* hotels, cause we would really love to keep comming back here.
Beautiful hotel, Nice spa, indoor and outdoor pools, Large casino. Choice of three restaurants, casino buffet, A la carte or summer time outdoor grill. Great place to visit if you like casinos. Hotel and staff are lovely. Very relaxing for a short visit if you want enjoy the spa and pools. Surrounding area has nothing to offer really with regards to tourism. Probably the nicest casino in the area. So if that's what you're looking for, it's the place for you.
I was sceptical of going back to this hotel, after my last visit, when I discovered that almost all of the staff I knew before have moved on. The service I was receiving few years ago is now non existent. The new members of staff did not deliver for me. It was very poor standard of service, extremely blunt and uneventful. This was my impression last year in September when I decided it will be a long time before I come back. And I did come back last week, making a stop on my way to Greece, just to have a coffee and take a short break, with intention to stay elsewhere since I wasn't impress with the service on my last visit. I changed my decision as soon as a saw one of the receptionist whom I remember from few years back when I use to visit Plaza Ramada frequently. I was pleasantly surprised to see Biljana at the reception, again, after few years. She recognised me and immediately welcomed us and provided an excellent service like I remember in the past. I made my decision then and there to stay in this hotel again before we continue our journey to Greece. There were lots of changes which are not appealing at all but the excellent service provided by Biljana raised the temptation for us to stay. I would like to complement her for the excellent skills in hospitality of how to treat a guest. Further more, she is the only one left from the "old crew" , professionals who would go extra mile to provide exceptional service, and to me that is the most important factor in a high class hotel such as Princess. On a different note, I would like to point out, that the hotel was not prepared for the season. The outdoors pool was dirty, deserted, and unwelcoming. The weather was quite warm and having had the pool prepared would attract more visitors who are passing by on the way to Greece. The breakfast area was moved to the restaurant in a smaller section, and replaced with the poker tables. Now, that was strange, (having a poker tables in the old breakfast area, simply make me think, whether the people who run this hotel are serious at all. In overall, I find very little nice things to say, and it is a shame, as I remember praising and complementing this hotel with best possible reviews in the past. If it wasn't for the service provided by Biljana I would hardly have anything good to say. Simply made me think "What happen to this place"? which I use to recommend to anyone who was in a mood for luxuary and fun. I would highly recommend to pay attention to the service.
Unfortunately the rooms smell like cigarettes even though I was on a non-smoking room and floor... The whole place smelled like cigarettes. I mean, of course, this is a casino, but the ventilation should be better for those of us who visit on a business trip. Breakfast is good and gym is well equipped. The gym and spa were the only places that didn't smell like cigarettes...
The building looks quite simple on the outside, but the giant funny atrium decorated with marble and well-designed furniture, compensates on the inside. The casino adds on quite a fuzz, considering their smoke-everywhere policies (sometimes smoke reaches your room through the ventilation!), but the rooms are spacious and comfy. Good breakfast, great wi-fi, and nice spa centre. The location is strategic for the casino (border area), otherwise you will find yourself lost in the middle of nowhere.
The rooms big enough and comfortable The Restaurant could have better quality also the breakfast The pool was nice The rate was definatelly expensive for this country level The casino was nice but no Texas Holdem Game
Excellent staff and facilities. The casino is spaceous and the food diverse and tasty. The spa center has turkish and finnish sauna and a small pool. The spa is not crowded at all. Excellent for conferences.
Ask for a room in Block 1, because the Block 2 has its air conditioning connected to the Casino, which can get you cigarettes smoke in the room for all night long; -Otherwise a nice hotel -relaxing rooms -good kitchen (diner); -kind staff; -good breakfast; -free parking; -good wireless; -clean; A great place to stop to relax for a night on your way to Greece.
Although out of town, the hotel is only about 10 minutes from the town centre. The hotel is probably one of the best in the south of Macedonia, everything one would expect of a top class Balkan hotel. Like all of the hotels in the area it has excellent leisure facilities, both inside and outside pools, a spa, two restaurants, casino and excellent service. I would recommend this hotel unreservedly.
Hotel is situated in Macedonia-few hundred meters away from the border with Greece-so it is very good for a night stop. Parking is free and there is a tax free shop very near. Very nice hotel lobby, with a very big atrium...friendly staff at the reception desk. Beautifull casino and restaurant...but service is a bit slow in the casino. Rooms are exceptional: big in size, very clean nicely decorated and the bathroom is a delight..probably the biggest i ever had in a hotel with separate shower cabin and bathtub. We paid 80 euros/night for the all inclusive regim-so we had acces to the spa and swimming pool and we had breakfast lunch and dinner. Durring the day we had espresso, beers and fresh orange at the hotel bar and we had drinks and snacks from the minibar everything included in the room price. There is also the posibil for 50 euros fee to have half board instead of all inclusive. All in all a very nice experience! A definite place to come back
