Checked in late in the evening, but concierge was very cordial and patient with our many questions. Breakfast in the morning was far better than the average continental breakfast. Rooms were very clean. Interesting decorations throughout the hotel showing the history of the town and building.

I stay in Shippingsburg for the week. It was a perfect hotel. Free breakfast to your room was a big selling point. It was very quite I slept well each night. This is my second time in this hotel. Will definitely return. Thank you

Went to visit my son who is a student there. This is a great hotel for the value- always a pleasant stay.

Hotel was older but clean and comfortable, Good price-staff pleasant and food was great in restaurant. You order and they bring a full bfast to your room which was fast and food hot. Would definitely stay again

The hotel is clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good. If you go to bed before 10 PM or sleep later than 8 AM the bells from the church directly across the street will be a problem. Ask for a room at the back and it will be better.

Nice hotel. Friendly and courteous staff. Especially liked that there is a restaurant in the hotel. The food was very good and the wait staff friendly, courteous and efficient.

Old hotel, but nice and comfortable. The continental breakfast was decent.

Would have liked a more comfortable chair on the room.

The overall stay at the Shippen Place wasn't bad. The two things I had an issue with was, the bed and pillows are terrible. Did not sleep well. The other thing was the free breakfast, I've had a whole lot better breakfast elsewhere.

Loved it. Would definitely stay there in The future

Hotel was convenient for what we were looking for.

Staff was very courteous. Nice room for cost. Will be back.

In town for an awards banquet at Shippensburg University. Great location. Clean room. Very friendly staff at desk and at cafe. Bathroom could use update and a bit more room but overall a good experience.

We stayed at the hotel during Thanksgiving break. The guy at the counter was not very helpful-- he would just give you the gym keys and would not tell you the directions unless asked. But others were very helpful.

Had problems with the room key! Reached at 12 midnight and the room key would not work. Walk down to the reception and get it reevaluated, it still wouldn't work! Walk down again, and the same story repeats!! The guy at the reception can be more helpful. Ask for the fitness center (Planet Fitness) key and he gives it to you without telling you where to go and how to get there! Ask him and then he gives a somewhat vague response, "make a right turn and you will see it on the right." He could have been a bit more specific realizing that not everyone who stays at the hotel are locals. The women at the reception were very helpful and wish they were there all the time.

The hotel was very nice and the room and room service was great. Parking was not the best in the evenings because of the restaurant and sometimes you could hear the people from the restaurant.

Hotel staff were very accommodating to our family. Rooms were more comfortable than expected. The microwave & refrigerator was a bonus. Our floor was very quiet Parking lot in back of the hotel was bigger than expected for a average size hotel. We had lunch & dinner with nearby family. Breakfast was included , it was adequate & basic fare for us. The University Grille seem popular with many people in the community. The coffee bar was another surprising addition to this hotel . Overall stay was short, but would use this hotel again when we visit with family again.

The hotel was very clean. The employees were so nice and always happy. The food at the University Grille was amazing. We were expecting typical grill food, not gourmet. We were very impressed. The rooms were great with pretty views.

this is my 2nd stay here, this time, not too great, the tub didn't drain, the toilet needed extra flushes and the towels were like cardboard. For the price, there should be at least an extra sliver of soap, but the bed was confortable... still a good location and went for my son's graduation so won't be back for awhile :(
