This hotel is immaculate. The convenience of it from the highway was wonderful. The staff were very helpful with directions and restaurant suggestions . They are right off the highway but it is unbelievable how quiet it is. I also was told they have an indoor pool. I didn't see it but if it's like the rest of the place it must be great!!
We stayed 2 nights here. One of our rooms tub had not been cleaned prior to our arrival, there was still a used bar if soap in shower. The pool and pool area was cold so we could not enjoy a swim. At breakfast they had gravy but no biscuits either morning as they were waiting for a shipment. Breakfast was not kept stocked the person waited until things were empty to restock so we had to wait hungrily for 12 minutes for eggs. Also there were ants in our room and saw an ant on table at breakfast.
This location supplies any need a traveler might have, easy to find, quick check in ( Sam is pleasant and helpful), clean rooms, lots of stuff nearby ( food, drugstore, gas), comfy beds, quiet, nice breakfast, and for under 100.00 a night. If you need more you're a very picky person. Oh, and try Mario's Italian Restaurant for dinner, yum.
I was passing through Chambersburg and had a nice stay at this Fairfield Inn. Located near many business'. The staff was friendly and the room was clean and comfortable. The also offer are breakfast in the morning
I have stayed at hundreds of Marriott hotels and more than I can remember have been Fairfields. This is an embarrassment to the Marriott name. When we got in the lobby, there was no one at the front desk. After 10 minutes I called the hotel on my cell phone, I could hear the phone ringing and no one answered it. This was not late at night either, it was before 8pm. The front desk clerk came back after us waiting for 20 minutes in a lobby that smelled like smoke. We get to the 3rd floor where the room was, 4 overhead lights in a row were out. It was so dark we had to use the light on our cell phones to see how to put the key in the door. The room was horrible, both rolls of toilet paper were empty (you could see the cardboard). There was a spare on the back of the toilet. It looked like the room had not been dusted in a long time. In the morning we noticed that there was black mold on the shower curtain and around the tub. I took pictures of all of this and finally got hold of someone at Marriott Corporate and sent the details to them. It is no wonder the parking lot had only a couple of cars in it. BTW... Bring a cooler because the refrigerator in the lobby with stuff you could buy was not working when we were there.
Greeted with soft cookies. Newer, clean rooms and wonderfully firm mattress. Hot tub is great for a soak and employee Steven could not have been more helpful. Highly recommended. This is our second visit and we will stay again when in the area
One a recent trip, my wife and I stayed at this Fairfield. We really enjoy the quality and value of Fairfield Inns and make a point of stopping at them for one night stays in particular when we are on the road. The room at this Inn was clean and adequate but in our mind didn't reach the level of excellence for price that we have come to expect. We know it is expensive but to us , the property is in need of some redecorating.
This hotel is a great value based on cleanliness of room, location, front desk staff, and, of course, the complimentary breakfast! Our room was fine, what one would expect of a Marriott property. The front desk staff "Josh" (at the time of check-in and check-out) went above and beyond. I was tired, in a rush, and wanted to make sure I got my granddaughters birthday gift in the mail. There is an outgoing mail holder on the front desk. Got my card done, placed it in the holder, went to bed. Next day, woke up, remembered I didn't put a stamp on it! Catastrophe! Ran downstairs, and there was "Josh". He said, "I put a stamp on it for you". Now, that's what I call service!! Josh was obviously brought up right and the Fairfield Inn is lucky to have him! Breakfast was very good also. Crisp bacon, nice scrambled eggs, etc but what I noticed was the cook of the day being very attentive to making sure all was replenished. Great Job on that also! All in all, this Fairfield Inn is an excellent value.
On a scale of Fairfield Inns we've stayed at recently, this was just OK. Bed and room were comfortable, which is really all you ask of a hotel on the road, and the price was right. Common hallways were a little tired and I'll echo other reviews in that it is a long trip for ice if you're not near the only one in the hotel. On the plus side, it's convenient off the highway and the desk clerk and breakfast area attendant were great.
I just needed a place to stay for one night. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. While it was very close to the Interstate, it was quiet. For a hotel free breakfast, this one was very good. I do agree with another review that just having one ice machine (and finding where it was!) was a little inconvenient.
