Hôtel Cornavin is a very nice hotel conveniently located in Geneva. It is across the street from the Geneva train station, which is called Cornavin. There is a free seven minute train ride to the Airport. Also Cornavin is a hub for the impressive Geneva bus system. There are a large number of good restaurants and shopping opportunities in easy walking distance. The rooms are relatively plain and simple but still comfortable. There is a breakfast facility with a nice buffet and a great view of Mont Blanc and the Alos generally, when not blocked by the clouds. There is no coffee shop or restautrant in the hotel but options can be found nearby.
2nd stay at this hotel because of its convenience to local transportation routes. Worst place to be during Geneva's hot summer. No ac in room or hotel suggestion to change room. Noisy atmosphere when windows opened. Fan provided, but inadequate to cool entire room. Erroneous charge for city tax for 2 persons for entire stay when 2nd guest in room was only present for 3 nights. Feven, hotel front desk clerk was aggressive and rude when asked about a refund for nights 2nd guest was not present or about rebate for uncomfortable stay in room, even when her colleague insisted. Inaccessible front entrance for wheelchair guest or for someone lifting heavy luggage. Abnormally high and slippery bathtub. Cleaning staff that always seem to be irritated. No iron and board in room. Hot, non-ventilated room on 1st floor for ironing. Extremely uncomfortable! Inadequate and wrongly placed power outlets in room. Hot lobby area. No visible security or attendants. Would not recommend hotel to anyone.

My room was looking over the Cornavin plaza and the church. View was Excellent. It had a twin bed. The mattress was too soft for my liking. Otherwise the hotel is excellent.

Everything was really nice here, the room was spacious, had a great view, and was affordable. The wireless service was top notch and the staff was super helpful. The location is awesome (right at the train station) so it is central to the town, would highly recommend.
