If we could give this hotel more than a 5-star rating, we would. Everything about the hotel, the staff, and our stay was perfect, even magical! We celebrated our 30-year anniversary in Europe and our stay in Geneva at the Hotel de la Paix was definitely a highlight, as they celebrated us every single day that we were there. Our room had a breathtaking full lake view with a veranda. There was a platter of chocolate covered almonds and various berries with a "joyeux anniversaire" note which greeted us in our room on check-in. The next morning at breakfast, the restaurant manager, Pierre, personally served us, gave us a table with a view of Lake Geneva, made sure our tea and coffee were made just right, and surprised us with French toast topped with 2 candles as he announced "I understand we are celebrating a special occasion." The hotel manager, Guillame, then introduced himself and made us feel very welcome. Our second (of 2 nights) at the hotel, their intern delivered a box of chocolates to our room. Hotel de la Paix specializes in exquisite and tailored customer service. Everything about staying at Hotel de la Paix -- the elegance and comfort of the rooms, the great lake views and location, the sumptuous buffet breakfast and the excellent, incomparable guest service--was perfect. We have stayed in other Starwood and Marriott properties around the US and the world and this has hands down been the best. If you have the opportunity to treat yourself to a stay here, do it!
Location is great, view is amazing. it is a Ritz Carlton Partner hotel, as a Loyal frequent customer with Ritz, I might say the service standards there is even higher and more personalized. The General Manager is at the reception welcoming and assisting guests himself, he came and welcomed me by my name upon check in along with Guest relation director and sales manager. The Room was renovated and spacious, it was a beautiful gesture from them to keep a framed picture of me with my son next to the bed. Housekeeping specially Hanz is very helpful, Heni from concierge is extremely helpful and knows the city upside down. In room dining staff are very polite. To be honest most of the team are amazing. Check out was smooth, the very friendly young lady with short hair was amazing. Simply they know what hospitality is.
Everything about this hotel is great. From its location on the lake, the delicious breakfast, to the beautiful room and with the most comfortable bed and pillows ever. Would definitely return here hopefully soon.
There are literally no words that I can actually use to describe our experience in hotel de la Paix. We traveled in family (2 adults + 3 kids) and everything about our stay is my idea of heaven, it was everything amazing. All staff was fantastic but that feeling that Sarah gave to us spoiling us every single morning taking care of each preference and detail have just blowed the roof off! One of my children is completely passionate about hotels wants to study architecture. After understanding that, Sarah suggests him to specialize in hotel design surprising him with an incredible book with such inspiring dedicated words. This gesture will be in our hearts forever. Thank you! Our room was beautiful renovated with a fantastic lake view. Housekeeping did a great job specially with my messy kids.. Thank you to all team, from bell door to reception thank you Jonathan (concierge) we can't wait to be back!
As a working professional in the luxury hotel industry, I was blown away by the level of commitment and attention to detail provided at this hotel. The service was on point! From the very beginning, Carmen made us feel welcome and appreciated and recognized us as soon as we entered the lobby. Timothée was also extremely generous and made our experience that much more memorable. We were also very impressed with the guest services/bellmen at the front door. They went above and beyond to assist with many things such as fixing a pair of our sunglasses that broke. The in room dining team was efficient and extremely polite and helpful. The views from the corner suite were magnificent where we enjoyed sipping our morning coffee out on the terrace staring at the jet d’eau. Wonderful experience – thank you so much! I will certainly recommend this hotel whenever I get the chance.
This is an adorable hotel with a great location - close to the shopping district, railway station. Service is excellent. Views from my hotel room were just stunning: the lake, fountain, Mont Blanc, swans ... Too bad I could stay there for only one night.
A great stay for 3 nights here at end of July. Room comfortable and spacious. Only about 65 rooms total here so fairly quiet and the desk and concierge were always right at hand. Very pleasant staff and great service as one should expect from a Ritz property. Location is outstanding. Walking distance to everything in town. Some other attractions are easily visited by bus or trams (cable cars) throughout the city. There is a restaurant and a chocolatier on the property. Prices quite reasonable considering Geneva is a bit expensive in general. Great views from the rooms. Well decorated. Spacious and comfortable.
Stayed for 2 nights in the summer. The hotel has a perfect location right on the lake and beautiful facilities, including well appointed rooms. Most of all, though, the service is terrific. The front desk staff--Carmen, Anthony, and Lauren--went above and beyond to ensure we had a comfortable stay, got us great restaurant reservations, and addressed a snafu in our booking with professionalism, sensitivity, and generosity. Will definitely stay here next time I'm in Geneva.
Our brief stay at the Hotel de la Paix was wonderful! The rooms are heavenly and packed with thoughtful details. Lighted clothes bar in the closet, heated towel rack, full-sized bathtub. Our room had a tiny Juliet balcony overlooking the Jet d'Eau - fabulous. Beds were divine with top-quality linens. Everything is done right here. One tiny hiccup - we asked the concierge about a great dinner spot. He recommended a place and we expressed interest, but he did not take the next step to reserve a table for our group. When we arrived at the restaurant, they could not accommodate us. Disappointing - a call from the Ritz probably would have resulted in a table becoming available.
Chic decor. Exquisite yet friendly service. The staff can't do enough to make sure you have an enjoyable stay. Newly remodeled rooms are very well appointed and offer wonderful views of the lake. We were in a deluxe room with a partial lake view that was outstanding. Views from both French doors including the Jet water fountain. The 'Living Room' bistro restaurant is very good and they are adding a Nordic restaurant and bar in September. Truly a gem of a place, well situated in the City.
