we booked one night at the hotel during our trip to Switzerland. After we checked-in , we left our car in the parking that the hotel indicated to us and it had a sign that it is for the hotel's guests. Then we went to eat in the square and returned to present our car to visit Geneva, we saw the car's rubber rivetted with a knife. The same thing happened to our friends' car that we had come together with. There were a lot of cars there, but only the two of us damaged the tires because we had Italian traffic signs????. I immediately alerted the reception and they replied that they had no responsibility for the parking space because is public. the receptionist came with me and saw the point that it had happened. He suggested to us a co-worker to go to repair the tire the next day morning and suggested that we bend to the roofed parking lot on the back street. The reservation of my booking clearly shows that the parking is private. We had to change it by paying 90 euros. I think that the area is not safe and from the beginning you should have told us to park in the covered parking lot. The hotel is new, clean with big rooms but I'm not going to pick it again because I can not move safely, either with my feet or by car. I think that the hotel must provide an other parking space solution Generally avoid the area.
Very nice hotel - clean with rooms big enough. Breakfast very good for a hotel of this category. Nice and ok priced restaurants around the hotel. Parking included. Can only recommend this hotel also for a visit in Geneva.
Good hotel, clean rooms, very friendly and helpful staff. Good location in the city center nearby a few restaurants and bakery. To recommend for one night. Only negative point is that the hotel parking had no working barrier and we had to park in a private parking for the night.
Used to often stay at Annemasse Campanile near the motorway. Found out it was closed and there was a new one in town. Firstly it was difficult to find as there are a lot of new one way streets in Annemasse. Satnavs don't "know" this. Instructions on booing were hopeless. Car park not attached to hotel and you needed to go upstairs in hotel to get code, again no mention in booking. Why not put the code on the booking? Hotel is well located in centre and rooms are much more luxurious than Campanile norm. However, and I admit I didn't check, it doesn't have a restaurant! All Campaniles have restaurants? That's one reason we like them. We did encounter the usual, it seems, Campanile reception problem. Why serve the customer in fron of you when you can answer the phone instead. Happened next day in Chalons as well. Is it part of the training? Anyway if Campanile are going up market this is a fair attempt but it has issues...
It was a perfect stay at Campanile Hotel. Very conveniently located with closest bus station which connects you well. Rooms are comfortable and washrooms are clean and well equipped. Loved the breakfast here, enough selection of items ...... and all delicious and fresh. A recommended hotel while u stay at Annemasse. Cheers !!
Excellent choice in Annemasse. Clean, modern rooms, and friendly reception staff. Definitely recommend as an alternative to Geneva hotel prices. Only con is that it is difficult to find by car. It is near the Annemasse Gare on a side street coming of the station.
For the value of money and the experience at this hotel, it was great! We didn't mind to travel into and from Geneva everyday, so we booked this hotel for the convenience of price. The quality was brilliant, as the rooms are all modern and so clean. The bus stop is right outside the hotel. The 61 takes you straight into Geneva at about 5€ per person to Cornavin station. It takes about 40-45 minutes depending on traffic. If it wasn't for traffic it would be a lot less. The hotel is situated in a trendy happening place where there are also loads of stores, such as Mango, Claire's, Promod, H&M and Monoprix. This was great as we would get our lunches bought here for our travels. The hotel is quiet and I suggest a room on the 3rd floor as you get a nice view and I think it would be quieter than the first floor, that's where reception is. My only complaint is how the wifi would disconnect every time I left the hotel. I would have to go back to wifi settings and put in my room number and booking name. It only took a minute or two but it was just an inconvenience. The hotel also has a lovely restaurant called La Ferme des Alpes which makes great fondue! I would definitely recommend this hotel. It's perfectly located in the centre and has all amenities that are needed. Thank you Campanile Annemasse
The hotel is close to city center. The room is nicely furnished and clean. The staff is helpful and speaks English. You can choose from wide variety of food for breakfast. Huge advantage is that the hotel owns a big parking area, parking is for free of charge.
Probably a bad move reviewing a hotel whilst your still in it for a couple of days but I wanted readers to know what there were in for before booking. I know it's a cheap 3 star "or so they claim ", & there is not much to choose from in this town but I made a mistake when I booked this. The room is very small with 5 coat hangers on a small shelf measuring about 12 inches. No hooks on any wall or door to hang a coat, no draws,no safe. The bead queasy like an old spring when you sit on it, although it was quiet comfortable to sleep in.The pillows STINK of cigarette smoke and it made it almost impossible to sleep,we had o cover them in bath towels. The bathroom is the only positive, it's clean and fresh.Service is non egsistant, We rang reception twice, once to ask for a towel and we were told to come down and get it & the next time was to ask if they could get me a print out of the morning train ftimes rom Geneva to Milan. They said to turn my mobile on and look it up for myself, you have red wi fi!!!!. I said that I thought that it might be a service offered to a paying customer and I was told in no uncertain terms "No". A bit of yelling and screaming can be clearly heard from people in the courtyard below also. To be honest, I can't wait to get out of here and I'm counting down the hours.ps, if u do stay here, bring an eye mask because the light shines through to paper thin curtains.
Stayed two nights and it was very nice. The room was clean and the bathroom was nice. The beds were comfy too. The staff was ok but polite. I asked for more towels since we had three adults and the staff looked shocked we needed more (we only got two small towels). Otherwise a nice value for the area. It is also in a very safe location.
