This is a nice clean place to stay. It is near all the attractions including Dollywood The rooms are spacious. Check out Samson the talking parrot is in the lobby. Put cheek up against glass for a kiss. Say good morning or good night to him.
The resort and unit was very clean and nicely appointed. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Although we didn't utilize them they had pools, sauna, BBQ, etc. I can only assume that they were as nice as everything else.
We stayed at this resort last minute on Labor Day weekend. The bed was a joke. After the first night we called the front desk to request another mattress, mattress pad, egg crate, anything to make the next four nights bearable. The front desk sent maintance to our room who informed us that there was nothing they could do and did not supply anything to top our mattress with. Also there were several other minor things that we had issues with such as very dim lighting all rooms except the bathroom, there were a few hairs in the bathroom floor, when pulling out the sleeper sofa there was no room to get to the kitchen table in the corner, not to mention that the furniture tops were very worn. We would have been better off staying in a cheap motel on the strip. Would not recommend nor stay at this resort again. Oh and just to let you know how bad the mattress was, I had to put couch cushions on top of the mattress and sleep on them for four nights. Not acceptable!!!
This resort is beautiful. This was our first time here. The room was clean and decorated in good taste. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and all that you would need. Towels and soaps were provided as well.
We stayed at Laurel Crest on a last minute Labor Day weekend getaway. We stayed at Mountain Loft last year and would have returned, but since we were planning on short notice, we took what was available, which was Laurel Crest. We were in a combined 2-bedroom unit (units 2301 & 2302). This unit was extremely outdated (furniture & appliances) and frankly in poor condition. The thermostat in 2301 is literally from the 70s and the furniture doesn't appear to be much newer. The table tops all had badly worn finishes, and the 2 large burners on the stove in 2302 did not even work. Which was particularly frustrating when we tried to cook a late dinner at 9:30 in the evening. The handles on the pots & pans were so loose, I went to my truck to retrieve my own screwdriver to secure them The floor plan in these units is ridiculous. In 2301 you literally can't open the bedroom door and walk to the right side of the bed without running into the bed unless the door is completely open or completely shut. 2301/2302 is labeled as a handicap unit, but there is no absolutely no way a wheelchair could navigate this floor plan. I'm not a particularly large man by any means but the toilet seat in 2301 was so small that it was difficult to use without shoving certain things down beneath the seat, or just letting them rest up on top.... We are bronze level owners with Bluegreen and have been for several years. Having stayed at a dozen different BG properties, Laurel Crest is at the very bottom of our list.
We belong to Bluegreen timeshare. The checkin was friendly and quick. We headed to our stay. They had two 1 bedroom condos joined with a hallway and an outside door. This allowed us to have our privacy or both doors open with the security of a third door so we could enjoy visiting. The orientation I would skip. It was friendly until the end when they tried high pressure to sale us more points. I recommend not to attend. It put a cloud over our stay. That is why I give it a 4. We were told it was just informative and no pressure to buy.
I am a Bluegreen owner, this is my first trip with my points and it has not disappointed! The staff here is amazing, the bed comfy, bathroom is spacious. There is a kitchen--fridge, oven and microwave. They even have pots, dishes, glasses and silverware. They supply towels and swim towels! Pool area is clean, there are areas to grill out and work out equipment. The furniture is eclectic and gorgeous! I would highly recommend Laurel Crest and Bluegreen!!
I love The Gatlinburg Gathering (Southern Gospel music and also Preaching) and try to go to at least part of it each year. I prefer to stay in Pigeon Forge and was thrilled to see that Laurel Crest had openings for that time. I stayed in a one- bedroom deluxe unit. It included a full kitchen, living room, bedroom,& separate bathtub and shower, I brought food from home (only ate out once during my 4 night stay); so the kitchen was wonderful. I walked into a cool room-- such a relief from the heat outside. Too often, I have found hotels turn the ac off and the room is hot and stuffy. This was NOT the case here. It was a pleasant temperature. It is no smoking; so I did not have to contend with the awful smell of cigarettes in the room. TVs provided in both the living room and bedroom. I did not use any of activities -- pools. work-out area, grills, etc. It is located conveniently off the Parkway in Pigeon Forge. My stay was peaceful and without any issues. This is a resort; not a hotel-- so No answers to questions below reflect that difference.
The staff is very courteous. The facility is extra clean, our room was spacious, everything we needed was there, the bed was comfy, there were 3 pools to chose from, the grounds are well kept, the place is quite, excellent location close to a Main Street to connect just a few minutes away with plenty of amenities, restaurants, shops, entertainment, etc. I will definitely stay at this place again.
The room is amazing and everyone is so polite and nice! However, we did have a few bug problems but the maintenance was on top of it. The pool facilities were nice just a bit crowded. We did have some extremely loud guest but that was not the hotel's fault. All in all it was a pretty nice stay!
