We had planned to stay for four nights but after seeing the condition of the hotel, we moved into another one after one night.
Very convinient to Gatlinburg. Staff was very nice, but not very professional. The hotel itself is very outdated and could use repairs but it was clean and the bed was nice. Bring your own pillow though, the pillows I had were very very thick and dense. My neck was really stuff the next day.
Worst hotel I've ever stayed in. Check in staff were unprofessional and unfriendly. Only exception to this over our entire 3 night stay was a girl named Brittany, she was great. Room was dirty and in need of many repairs including bathtub and mostly the door. Exterior door - right next to the road (road in back of hotel)and it had obviously been kicked in and was bowed in at both the top and bottom. It only held - barely - by the deadbolt. We did not feel safe at all. Some sort of damage to ceiling above in-room hot tub that was crudely covered. Same thing in bathroom tub. Complimentary breakfast was basically cereal and mini bagels. We had to ask for more yogurt and milk. Had to beg for toilet paper as we had only been given a half roll at check-in and were told "their shipment hadn't come in". Also needed towels. Indoor pool was cold. I can't believe we paid over $200.00 per night for this room. More like a $29.95 room. This is the third time we stayed in Gatlinburg for after Christmas/New Years and always had good luck with hotels, but after we were informed a month prior to our stay that our reservation for Best Western was cancelled due to them tearing it down for a new hotel, we had to scramble to find something. Should have saved our hard-earned money and stayed at home. Very, very disappointed in Days Inn Downtown and would not recommend to anyone. Spoke with other travelers there and they all said the same thing - would not stay here again.
Dirty, smelly, ants, heavily stained rugs, dirty towels, dirty bed covers. Do not stay here unless you absolutely must. I am astonished that Days Inn or Wyndham allows their names to be associated with this place. It really needs to be torn down and rebuilt.
good location, found a bed bug our second morning, still waiting to get out money back from the first night. it was run down, but stayable till the bed bug blood on sheets and the live one found in pillow case!!!
It was a comfortable hotel. They were in the process of painting and fixing things up.
Coffee had to be made on the floor because the cord wasn't long enough. Housekeeping missed cleaning out the coffee pot. Missing security bar on front door. Balcony desperately needs painted and new furniture. I didn't get the room I booked. I was supposed to get a room with a jetted tub and only had shower/tub combo. The "free breakfast" was unappealing. Difficulty in getting free Wi-Fi, but a staff person did help.
The hotel definitely has maintenance issues that needs to be addressed.
I would not recommend anyone to book this hotel. The room we stayed in appeared dirty, the room had an old musty smell, the bottom of the entry door did not stay completely closed, the bed spread had holes in it, and the light switch plate was cracked and broken. There as a kleenex box placed in the room that was smashed and torn. The photos on the hotel website are outdated and probably are from when they opened. When I checked in the staff was very unorganized and seemed like they would rather be doing anything other than helping us.
Very dissatisfied. Hotel is rundown. Rooms are very outdated which would be okay except they were not cleaned and smelled misty/moldy. The carpets had stains all over. The pool had no towels, there were cracks in the cement in the pool area. Water pooled on the surrounding pool area due to unevenness making very slippery conditions. We travel a lot and have not stayed in such a poor quality hotel in a long time. This is NOT Wyndham quality.
To start a review of our hotel stay room 230, the front desk clerk seemed high on something, there was no parking spots available, the rooms was is need of updating. The curtains were hanging down and veryas very wrinkled along with bedspreads being very wrinkleda. The door looked like it was broken into at one point and locks moved to fix it, the bathroom was so small and bathroom door was yucky on the inside. Much needed updating. Would not stay here again.
We booked because of the price, which was well below what others were charging. But internet did not work in our room, I had to stand outside of bedroom to use. Was clean enough. Staff was friendly enough, but not outgoing. Ran out of most breakfast items before breakfast was over. In general this was okay for a very short trip but I would not recommend.
We couldn't believe this was a national chain hotel. It felt like a run down motel. Took 20 minutes to check in. 15 minutes to check out. Pool was small, but clean. Environment was very loud, not relaxing. The a/c units were loud and dripped outside, so everything was wet outside and dripping on you from floors above. Our room had broken drapes, the shower rod was not secured to the wall. The full length mirror was barely hanging on the wall. There were ants in the bathroom. There was a sticky spot in front of the fridge on the carpet. I didn't want to let our toddler down to crawl around on the floor. We felt we overpaid a lot because of the condition of the hotel, but also because a few days before our vacation, I checked Orbitz again and the room would have been $64 cheaper if I had waited to book it, and Orbitz reps have not responded to my inquiry about this. I have used Orbitz for a long time and was extremely disappointed by this whole transaction.
There was a car show going on so this was pretty much the only affordable room for the night. I will admit it's a good location if your in Gatlinburg and the bed was comfortable in my room and I did sleep good however, it needs updating in a very bad way. The TV didn't work, the remote was not working well either. There was no hot water in the sink. But they did have an ironing board and iorn, that was nice and the staff was friendly. I always try to be optimistic, but if your looking for a clean, up to date place to stay for longer than a night I would try and look else where.
Hotel was not that clean. Walls chipping of paint. Door wouldn't close all the way at bottom. Floors not cleaned found popcorn. Wall outlets not covered just out in the opened. Tub not clean.
The shower/tub had mildew between the crevices. The bathroom was very small without a ventilator. The beds were hard. They weren't comfortable. The room and bedding didn't smell clean. The breakfast wasn't much and it was horrible. I was disappointed. I thought it would be better since it was downtown Gatlinburg.
This was an ok hotel. We chose it for the location. I know it's an older hotel, as are most of the hotels in town, and I could have been ok with that, but It just wasn't clean. We actually had to place the comforter from the bed outside on the balcony because it smelled so bad. We are looking to go to the area again this year, and I'm pretty sure we won't be staying here.
We were headed home from another vacation and did not want to go home yet, so we located this hotel online and booked immediately. We were pleased with the hotel.
Overall other than location everything about this place was bad
