Good location, easy to access from the Interstate. Nice motel, clean room. The bed was hard and the pillows were flat but the room was nice.

I had business in the area and chose this hotel first for it's location. It was perfect. It took almost two seconds to check in. The room was spotless. It was next door to a restaurant (that was also just right). And, I was able to get a great night's sleep (which is always hard for me while traveling. No worries here.

I have come to expect good quality, value, and service from this chain and was not disappointed.
Two issues: 1. (Minor inconvience) neither key card was coded and needed to return to loby to get programed (from 5th floor) 2. Wi-Fi never worked. I've stayed at other Hamptons (and several other hotels) and W-Fi always worked. It would not work on my iPad nor on my iPhone. Fortunately for me, my iPhone can be a hot spot for Wi-Fi. I reported it to front desk clerk (night shift guy) and his reply was no one else has mentioned it, but I'll check into it. A couple of hours later, it never worked.
We needed a room at list minute due to family emergency. The Hampton staff were very accommodating. Checked in early, welcoming phone call after getting in room, dinner discount, and clean room and lobby. Comfortable stay for family.
Room was nice and spacious. Better than expected. Quiet and clean.
The hotel was just off 85 and very easy to locate. Parking was ample. The staff was friendly upon check-in. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was excellent! A wide selection of hot and cold foods, fruits, beverages, and pastries. We enjoyed our short stay.
We were originally assigned a smoker's room. Since we are non-smokers, we immediately couldn't tolerate the smell and requested a non-smoking room. The desk attendant was understanding, and even though it cost extra to upgrade to nonsmoking, she gave it to us free of charge. The room was smaller than what I'm used to, but clean and cozy. There was a nice sized flat screen HD TV and USB cell phone charging station. The bathroom was very spacious and the shower head was perhaps my favorite item of the room! We enjoyed the stay!
All staff member's that myself & my guest had contact with, were exceptional for their customer service regarding all areas of our stay, beginning with the check in staff, the two team member's who maintained the breakfast bar each morning and the support team member's I observed cleaning different areas of the facility. Concerning our room, clean, and restocked each day with fresh towels and linen's for our bed, as well as, clean towels. I also appreciated the coffee & tea station & fresh fruit available all day for the patrons. This was my first stay at this facility, but I will return on my nest visit to Gastonia NC. Thank you Hampton Inn.
