My husband and I wanted a few nights away and were lucky enough to find this hotel. From the moment we walked in we were treated exceptionally well. They gave us a dog bowl and treats for our dog. We had a problem with our fireplace and the situation was dealt with immediately. The chamber maids greeted us every day. The front staff always smiled and said hello as we passed by. Our room was clean and you would have no idea that it was used for pets. We will definitely go back.
Spent one night to celebrate a birthday, we got a good room rate on their website, the suite was great, clean and comfy with a full kitchen and separate bedroom. The view from the large balcony overlooking a golf course was lovely. All the staff we met were very friendly and helpful. We ate dinner and the restaurant, they had great burgers and were well priced. The outdoor pool area was nice. I highly recommend this hotel.
Stayed here while driving through Squamish. It was fantastic. Outdoor hottub, room service, massages available! Not something i thought I'd see in Squamish! After a relaxing hot tub it was great to unwind on the patio in my suite, overlooking the mountains and an old golf course. Definitely will be coming back!
We are pretty particular in what we look for when we are traveling in BC. Not because we are precious. Because we know what “we” like. We like to have nice surroundings, a bit of room, and the ability to act just as if we were home. Room to sit and relax after a busy day with a glass of wine, a scotch on ice, or a cup of tea. Ability to cook a three course meal if we like. Room to have grand kids without feeling crowded. And most important that morning coffee or two with a relaxing feel and a bit of view. Having scouted out the Executive Inn over the last few years we were really happy to finally stay. We had a condo in beautiful Squamish and recently sold it. We wanted to be able to come back regularly and enjoy the ambiance the same way we were familiar with. We found it! We were busy by day so it was nice to arrive each night to the quiet of our room and the soothing grounds of the resort. We even had a chance to take our grand daughter to the pool area which is a nicely appointed year round pool and hot tub. Relaxed atmosphere, nicely designed rooms, helpful staff. I had help from David on tweaking my room type, which I greatly appreciated. And then the help of Mandeep. And Mandeep you simply “rock”. It that kind of treatment by staff that let you know you have found your place. Thank you all. We enjoyed the restaurant for breakfast before checking out of the resort. Wow, that was nice. Will be in there for dinner as well next time. We have already booked two different stays, one alone, and one with grand kids. If your are alone the studios are very spacious and the two bedroom is incredible for grand kids. I’m sensing you’re sensing our enthusiasm.
I was greatly disappointed with the service that this hotel provided my guests. We booked over 50 room nights for my wedding guests in early spring for my September 16th wedding. When my guests tried to reserve their rooms they found exactly the same rooms I had just booked for a cheaper price when they tried to book directly online. That is unacceptable. Next when my guests arrived, including my parents, they were not given the rooms they were promised and they were put in other less desirable rooms. That is unacceptable. Next, rooms were not cleaned regularly (there were cigarette buts from previous tenants in the ash trays etc) and consumables like towels were not replaced daily. This all pails in comparison to the atrocious service we all received at the on site restaurant Norman Rudy's. It was terrible. The rooms are nice but the service sucks.
Firstly, we starved in the restaurant. We were treated terribly by the wait staff when we asked for separate bills, the private functions (wedding rehearsal dinner, brunch) that were booked for our families were completely understaffed, and we had to abandon the restaurant after 40 minutes when it was clear we were not going to be served brunch or asked if we even wanted water. Secondly, our car was parked underground and a pipe leaked chlorine bleach all night, covering the car. Because of the terribly strong smell, It took a good portion of our day to get it where we could drive it again. Yes, there is insurance for these things, and yes, we will be working with the hotel on this matter, but there was no remorse on the managements side. When I checked out, I expected a little bit of "hey, how can we help make you feel better about this?" And instead I was told "we are moving forward with this issue and have asked you to save your receipts regarding your car and here is the bill for your stay." When I asked to speak with the manager, the hotel clerk said that she would go and ask if there was anything she could do, and then she came back without the manager and said no, the car is a separate issue and has nothing to do with my bill. Accidents happen. I paid a lot of money to stay in your hotel and was part of a group of over 70 people that stayed with you as well, and I have to say, the reviews are not good and are all service related. Zero stars.
Check out these fantastic fully equipped suites! Kitchen, living room with fireplace and pull out couch, separate bedroom, balcony, in suite laundry, pool! Nice clean suites, wifi with strong signal, great food in the restaurant... under new management and well worth checking out!
I stayed briefly to do some mountain biking before heading up to Whistler. I am really glad I booked at the Executive Suites as the location could be better and the service of the staff was fabulous! I had a ground floor suite, which was very convenient for me with the bike. It had a small balcony, full kitchen, lounge, with queen size bed and ensuite. Free wifi with good connections. I was located near the pool, i didnt notice any noise however i wasnt too close. The front desk staff were tremendous as was house keeping. thank you for making my stay very pleasant! There is a pub type restaurant in the hotel and it had good meals, a happy hour between 3-5pm with some food and drinks discounted. Yes I would definitely stay here again, particularly if I came back to go mountain biking. There are some great trails behind the resort in riding distance. If you do plan on cooking yourself in your room, the hotel isnt located close to any grocery store so I would suggest getting something on your way to the hotel. The hotel says its has bike washing facilities but its essentially a hose. I find this is quite common across Canada to say the hotel has bike washing but there are no brushes or rags to wash your bike. If you are traveling from other countries (Aust / NZ) bikes must be squeaky clean on return so 'bike washing' is actually more than hosing down some dust from your bike.
We got a room directly above hot tub, which means loud noises. Not great when traveling with kids. They do not have cots/roll-always. Room had a queen and sofa bed (not comfortable for an adult) And full kitchen with limited supplies but nice to have fridge & microwave. Road side rooms are hot as they get afternoon sun. There is also noise from highway. Nice clean hotel. Small pool and of course the hot tub and small gym. SUP's for rent and an activities agent at desk in lobby. Hotel is at very north end of town. Don't miss Sea to Sky gondola and hiking trails. Fabulous views of men's & Howe Sound. The Britannia Mine tour was really interesting too, even for kids. Tim Horton's across the highway. Kuerig in your room.
While this used to be a great place, it seems to have gone majorly downhill. I've been treated rudely by the manager and there's disgusting soaked carpet all around our bed which they've not addressed in four days. When we checked in and told them about the carpet, they said they were already aware of it but they had still rented us this room. They've done nothing to resolve the issue other than hand us some extra towels, despite the carpet being soaked for the last four days. Today, it turns out their annual fire alarm testing was going on, but we weren't informed, despite the fact that we stayed there for four nights with our dog and we even spoke to their staff at the front desk this morning. They claimed there were signs at the front desk, but I even had walked by several times while walking my dog in the morning, AND stopped in and spoken to front desk staff and did not see signs, nor was I ever been informed. So when I complained because when I came home, my dog was terrified as the fire alarms went on over and over, the manager instead of apologizing, said "I'm sorry you didn't see the signs." Clearly, no ownership over their responsibility to properly inform the people in the hotel. And then he proceeded to give me a hard time because his pet policy doesn't allow people to leave pets unattended in the rooms. What great customer service! I definitely recommend other hotels in Squamish over this one after that horrible experience.
