This facility is an older, comfortable, clean and very well located hotel. Some rooms are relatively small, which can be inconvenient if you travel on an extensive overseas trip. However, the staff is so accommodating that a change of room is always possible if they have availability. The rooms are very clean, the bathrooms too and the beddings are lovely. An elevator is available and paying parking is too. The hotel is within walking distance from all the historical attractions and the old part of Nimes which has a plethora of fantastic restaurants. We definitely will keep this hotel in our list for future visits, it is a very good value for the service offered and it is quiet.
Nimes, whilst being an adorable quaint French town, has very limited accommodation options. Basically, if you're on a budget its either here, one with a rickety old lift or the new Ibis hotel by the train station. This hotel was pretty easy to find, and pretty central, handy if you're out at Nimes at night etc. The staff were super helpful, on the first day the guy who checked us in literally could not have been any more helpful, he told us where to go, what to see, the best places to eat; you name it he knew it. The hotel itself was fine. If you're just using it as a base to sightsee from its grand, it's not somewhere you would hang around really, its not that big and its pretty much reception, a small dining room and then rooms. The rooms themselves were clean and had everything. They weren't modern but they had nice old shutters. Also hilariously they give you a huge key. If you're not fussy this place is grand.
Stayed here for one night in a single room. Although compact the room was just what I needed. Clean and comfortable with a nice big bed (considering it was a single). The location was great for lots of great places to eat and the main sights and just10 mins walk to the station. They were also very accomdating in looking after my luggage after I checked out. The only downside is that some of the breakfast wasn't the best but there was plenty available. They also have a garage which some people in my party used and were grateful of as parking in Nimes is difficult. Would definitely stay here again.
Hotel is located in a small and quiet street and it is 5 minutes to walk to the old town center. All attractions could be visited on feet. But the hotel is worn, needs refreshing. Our double room was very small, there was small hole in the bed linen. Bed was relatively small. Still the room and bathroom were clean. You can make tea or coffee in the room. There is flat TV and strong wifi. Ok for one night stay, but nothing fancy or luxury. Hotel has small garage for 12 euros.
The room seems abandoned by maintenance: 3-4 burned bulbs in most lamps, one lamp totally destroyed with exposed wires, not working hair drier, leaking shower pipes, loose wc tablet and more! It looks abandoned by maintenance people many years ago! But, worst, we had to ask to change room because the first one was terrible smelling of cigarette smoking. The second one was only slightly better. We hat to wash all of our luggage on return due to not disappearing smell!!!
Very small rooms, with view into the neighbor's living rooms. The elevator did not work (room on third floor). I reserved parking 3 month in advance, yet they did not keep a space for me; it took a lot of arguing to finally get a place to park my car. Quiet street, but close to the center - about 5 minutes walk. Overall a reasonable choice for the budget oriented tourist who is willing to put up with some frustrations.
This morning my friend and I arrived at Kyriad hotel where we were told our reservation was cancelled by Expedia. Expedia didn't book another hotel for us so we had nowhere to stay for the night. When the staff of Kyriad heard this they "improvised" a room for us by putting two comfy beds in the second breakfast room for only €20 in total and we also got a free shower. Not only did Kyriad make sure we had a place to stay, they also take very good care of us by allowing us to charge our phones and giving us drinks and snacks for free. A lot of luxury and comfort for such a low price is absolutely amazing and is one of the reasons I highly recommend this hotel. The staff is lovely and most of them speak English which makes everything a lot easier for non-French speaking tourists. Long story short: comfortable, clean hotel with an outstanding staff who care about their guests.
We booked with Expedia. We came here in Kyriad and expedia cancelled our hotel. Stress came in. Kyriad was overbooked but Expedia made the mistake. This hotel has the best service I have ever known. We got a room, normally for breakfast but we could take it one night. They let us shower, eat, drink and made a special room for us. Thanks to Kyriad we could stay here. Absolutely amazing and we are really happy!
Even though we had a room with a balcony on the top floor which is in need of renovation, it was convenient enough for our short stay. The staff members were very helpful and pointed us to one of the nicest restaurants in Nîmes. Their underground and secured car park is an absolute plus, although you do need some manoeuvring skills. Anyway, the hotel is strategically located a short walk away from all interesting sites.
I spent one night here in order to visit some of the sights of Nîmes. Easy to get to from the Autoroute, and because we came by car the parking garage was a big bonus. Staff very welcoming and helpful on arrival and departure. The breakfast was good and copious by the standards of such hotels. The location close to the town centre and my overall experience mean that I'd certainly use this hotel again.
