Firstly wow! I attended my brothers wedding here in the G hotel on Friday February 24th and we were just so incredibly impressed with the whole experience we extended our stay! The whole day from start to finish was incredible and that was a lot due to the absolutely incredible service we received from this hotel. The food was amazing, the service at the reception could not have been flawed, fast efficient and just so accommodating. The soup and beef were incredible! The rooms, nothing short of a luxury haven. I honestly cannot thank all the staff here in the G hotel for helping us to celebrate such a special occasion and helping us feel so welcome coming from Laois. A special thank you to the Night Manager who was on duty during our stay, Dylan at the reception and Harry. The service provided by these men for our wedding party was simply incredible. Absolutely Any query, question, order was treated with utmost priority and myself and all my brothers guests can not speak highly enough of these hard workers who provided excellent customer service.. So well worth the money! Can not wait to be back.. sooner rather than later!
We stayed here recently to celebrate my birthday. The food was appalling. All rights of our party returned our main courses. 1 if the party git a replacement which wasn't much better whilst 2 of use didn't bother. We hoped the dessert would redeem of esteem of the place by no... burnt honey comb and fondant that was meh. Service was good. Staff were attentive. Another issue. For the cost of the stay why charge guests 10e for the thermal suit. We had a lovely views of Pet mania from our room...what a treat. 5 star I'm not so sure.
Stayed for two nights during the week (Monday & Tuesday) & had a great time. I can honestly say there was not one thing I could fault .As soon as we arrived guest parking was available underneath, plenty of it & no hassle with validating tickets or anything. Lift from here went straight to reception where we were checked in quickly & bags brought to our room. Went with my mother & got the double room.. bed could have slept 4. We had dinner that evening after heading to town & food was out of this world. We walked to town that day 15 min walk & got busses after that due to weather. Two buses stop every 15 mins outside door. Breakfast on both mornings was great & fed us till evening. Got lounge food second night & v reasonable & hit the spot. We also used the serenity pool for hour as it was included in our package. Package was two nights stay with b& b & one dinner. Room was lovely & bath like flake ad. The staff are just great . Especially Coleman & Kevin Thanks again & will be back Yvonne
Everything about the G would make one relax. A lovely atmosphere and all very calm. Staying here for one night to meet friends so did not use facilities. A great welcome. Breakfast is amazing and all so fresh. Just one matter needs attention. Bedrooms showing a bit of wear as in torn curtain & tea stains on carpet but this should be easy to sort
From check in to drinks to the spa to dinner to breakfast to check out everything was flawless and exceptionally personal. My wife and I were celebrating our second year anniversary and Gabrielle in particular made our stay extremely special. Her enthusiasm alone is an asset whilst her professionalism goes well and truelly beyond the norm. Delighted to leave a glowing review as the truth is easy to tell. Thank u all again for all the personal touches including a special anniversary dessert presented to my wife and I. Service in the restaurant is second to none. Tomorrow we return to the kingdom with glorious memories of the cobble stoned city of galway.
Stayed here in 233... the room was lovely. The whole hotel is very girlie, all colour and patterns. Staff are friendly. Breakfast was a total let down, the mushrooms were far too old to serve and the sausages weren't great... I asked for a pint of water to be sent to the room and the waitress looked for a 5e tray charge!! Ridiculous. Good for groups but lacks class.
I spent 5 days in the G Hotel during a business trip to Galway. The hotel is located in a beautiful location. The room service is pretty slow. The first day I placed an order they forgot and then called up to apologize and I had to wait for over 1 and half hours for diner to arrive. Even Breakfast took a long time to be served however worth the wait I should say. The hotel is 8 minutes driver from Eyre square, perfect place for shopping and for a walk in the evening
Stayed here for Valentine's weekend, paid €310 for one of the suites for one night with breakfast. When we got to the room it was freezing cold, turnt of the air conditioning, still cold so I rang down to reception to see if they could help us turn up the heat, they sent up the night portor with an oil filled little radiator and he told us the heating didn't sound right so he left saying sorry and just left the heater to us. Next morning the room was still cold so I inspected the windows to only find some of the window seal all falling out, this was the reason the room was cold. And the view from the €310 suite was of a carpark.... So when I checked out I said it to the lady at reception in which she replyed, thank you sir for letting us know, we will send up the maintenance man and have a nice day.... €310 for one night cold bed and breakfast!!!
Stayed 2 nights. Nice warm welcome at reception. Bedrooms are spacious with super king size bed and delicious g themed cupcakes as a nice welcoming treat. Lounges and bar area are beautifully decorated but in dire need of a good clean both the carpet and chairs are dirty looking and abit shabby. We ate in the restaurant the first night. Food was delicious and the service we received from Lucas was impeccable. Restaurant was busy for a Tuesday night but he took his time to talk us through the menu in detail and help with the wine choice. Used the thermal suite twice and also had spa treatments. Spa was lovely and relaxing and spotless clean and our therapists were wonderful. Thermal suite quite big but very dark almost too dark to read spa notices regarding the necessity to wear spa slippers at all times as surfaces are very slippery! Overall had a relaxing stay in the g made special by the wonderful staff but hotel is starting to show signs or wear and tear
