Welcome to Life’s a Beach, a stunning two-story beachfront getaway located in the desirable Kahala Beach subdivision of Galveston, Texas. With direct beach access and panoramic Gulf views, this spacious 3,045 sq ft home offers the perfect coastal escape for large or extended families, with 4 bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms, 2 half bathrooms, and enough room to comfortably sleep up to 15 guests.

Start your mornings with the sound of waves and breathtaking sunrises from the expansive sun deck, or relax in the shaded lower-level lounge area after a full day of beach adventures. A private dune walkover makes it easy to reach the sand just steps from your door. The upper deck is fully equipped with three tables, ten Adirondack chairs, and four lounge chairs, giving everyone a spot to soak in the sun or enjoy a family meal with a view. Downstairs, you'll find a swing, picnic tables, a charcoal grill, and an outdoor shower with hot and cold water—ideal for rinsing off after the beach.

Catfish-DISCLAIMER not kid friendly!

A disclaimer about the dangerously steep staircase to enter and exit the home would have been a nice heads up!! It’s all tiled, winds around and the steps get smaller! Do not recommend this home for families or chronically injured.It is not fun carrying all the suitcases up that. My husband and I walked the home first before bringing anyone or anything in and here a few things which led us to this rating-egg left on stairs-broken lounger-Silver fish on the beds-back door handle so loose we were afraid it was going to fall off, it is rusted (like everything else in this house) and nails were loose(dangerous)- filtered water from fridge didn’t work and there’s no other drinking water so we had to buy bottles, not a huge hiccup but would have been nice to know in the listing-house is a lot smaller than pictured-shutters in the upstairs king bedroom we’re stuck closed (switch & manual didn’t work) so that resident had zero ocean view-the home was not clean, the floor was sandy (we removed our shoes in the mud room immediately before entering and did so the entire stay)-the couches and main seating area were covered in sand, couldn’t see it but when a pillow was moved the sand went everywhere-washer lining is covered in mold and smells so-I’m sure they’ll take care of the issues but the house isn’t kept up with that well and due to our experience we won’t return. We only stayed for the kids. Also our stuff was stolen off the beach in this “private” section.. beach great!

We loved the beach house! Beautiful home and everything was as promised. This was our first time in Galveston and on the beaches of the gulf. The deck on the house was amazing to sit out on and enjoy the sights and sounds of the beach and water.

Nice home in a good neighborhood. You enter the house into a warm and musky room that had a very bad smell and crickets in the room. The next 2 floors were nice, except for roaches and dishes that were not the cleanest. The view and the patio were great. There were lots of notes with lots of house rules. Took some of the joy out of the vacation. Quite overboard on what was common sense. The advertised perks were not all accessible. The master fireplace had notes posted about being unusable. The biggest disappointment was notes saying not set the A/C below 71 degrees. We complied but were super uncomfortable every night. Six nights of NOT great sleep because of the room temperature. All of these things should have been voiced before we agreed to the terms of service and paid over 4k for 6 nights. Would never stay here again. Feel pretty duped about the advertising compared to the actual product.

Beautiful beachfront property with plenty of space for large families

Love this property! The views can’t be beat. Towels provided was appreciated as well as the washer and dryer. Outdoor shower is convenient and water hoses are everywhere to clean off all your gear. I think the first floor at ground level was recently flooded because the smell of mold is strong, but once you go up a level it’s much better.

Clean, great view and easy beach access

The property was as shown in photos, clean, well taken care of and has great views. We had a relaxing time despite the weather! Minor suggestions - there were no beach towels or beach toys. Also no hand soap for the bathrooms and only left enough soap for two loads of laundry and two loads of dishes. With 10 people for four nights it wasn’t enough.

Beautiful home with amazing views, steps from the beach

We brought our 16 year old son and friends to enjoy the beach for the weekend. This house was perfect for our trip. I used the kitchen quite a bit to cook breakfast and dinner. The layout of the rooms made it nice for the boys to sleep upstairs and hang out while we were sleeping downstairs. The views from the living room and master bedroom are amazing. We enjoyed watching the boys playing on the beach while sitting inside in the comforts of the living room. They played spike ball on the beach as well as frisbee and football. The deck was gorgeous and I enjoyed laying in a chair and reading a book to the sound of the ocean. It got a little windy so I enjoyed going inside to enjoy the views without the wind. There were 2 grocery stores within minutes of this place. It was beautifully decorated with electric shutters. The beds were comfortable. I’ve already looked at the summer schedule to see if we can come back to this place.
