Three senior women traveling and when we checked they just said sorry I have bad back and can't help you (with a young man standing next to him.) We ask if the had a cart we could use their reply, No. We finally got our own luggage up ourselves and the room was dirty and dusty. Asked for extra pillow their reply, Nov we don't have extra. We wanted the shuttle to the ship, which the website says it offers but it at the hotel next to them. Again with getting the luggage down and loaded in the car and to the Best Western buy the way they were so helpful. They unloaded the car and put it onto the van and helped us with water and anything we needed. I will never stay at Days Inn again.

Our room wasn't ready when we arrived at 2:00-no biggie since check in time was at 3:00. When we arrived back a few hours later, we went to our room and noticed as we approached the door that the door was open. We cautiously entered and found a disgusting clogged sink and very stinky room. No biggie, that stuff happens so we went back down to the desk and got a different room. This room was okay so we settled in. As we unpacked and started to put our food in the mini fridge we realized it was not working. No problem...we told the front desk and they said it would be repaired or replaced the next day. Breakfast the next morning was free, and you get what you pay for there. Next we went to fill our ice bucket so we could keep the food cold in our cooler since our fridge wasn't working. There was a FROG on the ice machine...yikes. Returned late, after a long hot day working; just wanted a shower and order a pizza. We interrupted the front desk guy's personal phone call to ask for the local pizza company's phone number...he was annoyed. Then arrived at room to find it had not been cleaned. All our towels were dirty so I called the front desk. Apparently the front desk's personal phone call was too important to be interrupted so he did not answer. I went downstairs to find out why our room had not been cleaned and instead of saying I'm sorry, clerk said if I wasn't happy I could check out and find a different hotel...WOW...couldn't believe it. Never going back.

overall fine, but it is pricey for what you get, room aren't very clean and it is just very simple in general, I would come back if I have to stay in Galveston area, but if you really want to go for the beach go somewhere else

The only downside was hotel was not on the beach wall but you can see the water.

From check in to check out I have nothing but good remarks.

The overall hotel was ok, the front desk staff need to be changed, the breakfast needs major improvements..it was basically a bunch of breakfast items from packaged products placed in display cases & they were definitely becoming stale! The orange juice was definitely sunnyD & not breakfast juice. The room was decent, our hangers did not have hooks which was very odd so they weren't functional & there needs to be an iron & ironing board.. I would think that's common for a hotel to have in the room. It was close to the beach, even walkable & a short drive to the peir & all the restaurants & festivities.

Clean, comfy and awesome friendly staff. Perfect location

I would like to come and have the same room again..The staff are nice but in the dining roomI noticed that the person handling the food was coughing frequently and touchiing the food .You should be able to set up standard precautions likeuse of gloves and masks in times like this.

The complimentary breakfast was shady..day old coffee or dirty coffee pot.

Bad breakfast, there no room services at the hotel.

Had a great and friendly staff!!! And it was right near the beach!

Room was nice and cleaned for the most part. Was candle was on floor but everything else was cleaned. Bed was comfortable and room was spacious.

Nice location, easy to beach And old town area. We were there for cruise and Madi Gras!

Staff was good. room was fine. breakfast ok. I booked a room that said two queen beds. But when I got to my bed they were clearly two twin beds. But other than that we had a pleasant stay. Breakfast was waffles, cereal, yogurt, and fruit. We could see the ocean from our balcony which was a welcomed surprise

Could hear noise from other guests beside and above us. No sound seal around our room entry door. Light and noise came through. The elevator was loud. Could hear everytime it came to our floor. Room and staff were nice otherwise. GOD bless.

The hotel cleanliness, conditions & room comfort are acceptable. BUT, the hotel staff is very inadequate. E.g. (1). where are the restaurants nearby - no clue. (2). use of computer in the "business office" - cannot log in first on Jan 14, then again Jan 22. Password did not work. Hotel staff said only Miss Mitchell know, but could not contact her (meaning not allow to border her). Then I asked Miss Mitchell to help log in computer. She did not even know how to do it. (3). This hotel chain needs better staff training. This is the worst Days Inn I ever stayed in all my traveling. NO, not recommended to anyone for this location.

Great price for the rooms. Met my needs. Happy with the location.

This hotel was clean and the employees were very nice. The room was spacious and we liked that we had a fridge and microwave for no extra charge. The only thing we didn't like was the bed. It was too soft for our liking but everyone is different.

everything was pretty good. just wish there bananas or fresh waffles (rather than toaster) but hot fresh coffee was nice.

Our experience was fantastic we walk the seawall and went to jimmys pier and had lunch at landrys this hotel is close to everything.

Thank you for your review sorry for the issues you mentioned I have spoken to the front desk concerning your issues. On a side note I am glad that the Best Western West Beach Hotel was able to help you.
