Good location in Dubuque, close to eating places, hotel gives you 10% discount at eating establishment nearby, close to colleges

Great place to meet our group and plan our evening, hired a limo service and made the rounds.

The hotel location is great! The room we had was pleasant enough. Would like our room, Rm. 130 to be rid of cobwebs along ceiling in several places. Not hard to see! Wish beds were more plush. Do not sit on edge of bed, as the mattress squishes and is uncomfortable. I have stayed in four Holiday Inn and Suites hotels this summer alone, and so I know better quality beds are purchased for these hotels. Otherwise, though, the bed was comfortable enough to get a good nights' sleep on. The linens were very nice. The decor was fine. The pool and jacuzzi were fine, too, but better ventilation is needed because my eyes began burning immediately upon entering the pool room, and I mean immediately!! It was better the next two days because renegade guests opened the door to the outside and the hallway door. Staff was very pleasant, particularly one front desk person who exuded care and excitement to everyone who checked in. (Sorry I did not catch his name)

newer hotel, clean, friendly, close to where we wanted to be.

Everything was fine, especially the clean room and staff.

The hotel staff was very pleasant at check in. The room was very clean and comfortable.

We enjoyed our stay. Clean, Quiet, very Nice breakfast so we could get an early start for our day and visit w/ family. Great information on how to get around town, etc.

At arrival there was a long line at check-in due to only one employee being there. Seems like if they knew they were booked up that they would have had more staff available. The poor guy at the desk was a bit frazzled. The room was fine once we got in, but due to lack of staff our requested extra blanket never arrived. It was okay, a little over-priced, but usually Holiday Inn Express is a reliably consistent it comfort.

The staff at the front desk seemed competent and friendly both at check-in on Saturday afternoon and check-out on Sunday morning. Everything worked, the room was spotless. TV worked fine and there was a good shower. What more can you ask? There were some traveling baseball teams (12 yr. olds with parents) staying there for a tournament...you knew that was good, they're in bed early and out quickly the next day heading for the ballpark. Breakfast was typical fare, adequate, solid, as was the entire experience.

The room was very comfortable and provided everything we needed. The pool and hot tub were another "plus" for this hotel. One negative was the breakfast ... I think my expectations were too high. None of their "hot" items tasted good, and the bread was stale.

Desk clerk not well trained. Management quoted different prices to different people. Wedding party not happy. Just didn't feel welcomed.

The pool/jacuzzi is open till midnight, and after 10PM it is adults only! The pet fee was only $10, quite reasonable. Will definitely be back!

The room was very clean and comfortable, but too close to the dining area. The breakfast crowd was loud and could hear them very clearly from our room. Breakfast was put away earlier than we expected so we only got to partake in a few items. The lady putting it away seemed to hurry putting it away when we showed up. She could have stopped for a minute to let us make our plates. They did let us stay in the jacuzzi until after hours though. That was great since we weren't noisy and just wanted to relax!!

After a very long hot day of moving our son into his college dorm room we were happy to see what we were offered. The hotel was very nice and clean. The front deck was able to give us some free drink cards and discount card for a sports bar across the street which we were happy to use! Room was nice as was the continental breakfast. Pool was small but we were not there to use it any way. Overall very nice and would stay there again when we visit.

Check in was quick and easy. Our room was comfortable and clean. Complimentary breakfast buffet was very good and kept well stocked. Every morning was a different hot dish, such as biscuits & sausage gravy, scrambled eggs & ham, and omelets. They also had a neat automatic pancake machine. Would have been nice to have a larger selection of fruit, as they only had bananas. The staff in housekeeping and the breakfast gals were very friendly. Some of the desk staff were quite friendly, and others seemed to ignore us. Our little baby grandson spit up on one of the pillowcases, and I took it to the front desk as I thought they would want to treat the stain right away (carrot baby food). The man at the desk seemed annoyed that I had brought this to the desk. He picked it up gingerly by the corner, holding it at arm's length like it contained toxic waste or something. I apologized, saying that he was only a baby and didn't mean to do it. I thought this reaction was very odd and was slightly offended by it. Good grief! It's not like there were chunks in it or something! It was just a little baby food spit up. I thought I was doing them a favor by bringing it to their attention immediately. Perhaps the man had no children. The pool area was kept clean and was well enjoyed by our granddaughter.

We had a nice stay. The pool was warm enough for my 4 and 6 year old to swim until exhaustion rather than cold. The breakfast was really busy so there were delays on some of the food items but the staff was working hard and it was adequate. The rooms are nice with no weird smells. Our check-in guy was great and had us booked near the other family we were travelling with. It was farther from downtown than I expected by a nice stay.

Stayed while we were house hunting. Will be staying here again as we continue our search in the next couple weeks. Also a wonderful experience when we stay here. Recommend.

The room was very clean and the beds comfortable. A little out ot the way but near good restaurants. A good place to stay.

I was checked in by a girl named Brandy who was rude and had an attitude - but she changed it quickly when I asked for her bosses info.

We enjoyed our stay here. It was not cheap by any means but the room was nice, clean, and comfortable. We have a small dog and were told there was a $10 fee for him...which we never got charged so that was a nice surprise. Overall, I would stay there again.
