Great location, very clean hotel. Very close to Galena, close to food.

This was our first experience at any Country Inn. I was a bit confused when I thought there would be a mini-fridge & microwave in our room. However, this may have been an oversight by me. Otherwise, our experience was excellant and we will most likely book again.

First room we were placed in smelled like an ashtray. Must have been a smoker in the room right before we arrived. We called down and the staff promptly moved us to a new room. We were moved to the room next door and it was much better. Nice staff! Kids loved the pool and breakfast.

We visit Galena every couple of years or so and stay at Country Inn almost exclusively - we stay elsewhere when CI has no rooms available. The staff is always courteous and the breakfast is surprisingly good. So many of the other breakfast included places fall way too short. The pool is also a welcome diversion - the slide for the kids and the hot tub for me.

Great location outside of downtown. Friendly staff and nice amenities. The pool is great for children.

Highly recommend this as an option for lodging while visiting Galena - just a few mins from the main shopping district and next door to a Walmart for those with little ones. Didn't try to water park, but pleased with service.

This hotel is conveniently located, and the staff was very pleasant. I would stay here again.

The hotel is easy to get to. Great location. It's inviting and clean. We did find a few things on the floor that the vacuum must not have been able to reach. Breakfast in the morning was great. The rooms were comfortable. There could be more pillows, or at least bigger pillows on the beds. I felt like I had a child's pillow. There was a crying baby in a room near ours that kept us up a lot, but that's not the hotel's fault. Walls may be a little thin. Would definitely stay again.

Staff friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great. Was very quiet and clean, I would go again. Nice pool room and swimming area too..

Location is convenient to the north end of town. Had a problem with the tv and were moved to a new room. Then AC was old and noisy. Sign in lobby said they were updating so maybe these are changes to come. Rooms were clean and had great family pool area. Cookies in the lobby were great! Breakfast was a nice assortment, but coffe was very weak. I would stay there again.

Overnight stay. Weather was very dramatic, but hotel staff took care to notify everyone about the shelter to use to insure our safety.

Let's start with the good news. 1. Hotel let us check in 3 hours early. 2. Lobby seemed nice. 3. Waffles and tea were good. Now the bad. 1. Room was smelly. 2. Treadmill needs service...slipping belt. 3. They didn't clean our room. We left at 10:30 am and got back at 2pm. Housekeeping was outside our room at 10:30, and we didn't leave the do not disturb sign on the door. When we arrived back at the hotel we asked the young blonde girl at the front desk to have our room cleaned and she got mad at us, saying with attitude and volume in her voice, "you must have left the do not disturb sign on the door." Believe me, I personally checked before we left. I personally hung it on the back of the door knob. I even commented to my spouse as we drove back, " I'll bet you they didn't clean the room." I chose the high road and didn't get mad at the girl. I stayed calm. 4. TVs are the older giant CRT style. That wouldn't have been so bad until we realized it was making a horribly audible high pitched whine and mechanical rattling sound. That was with the volume on at any level. It was so bad we had to leave it off. Luckily we brought iPad with Netflix. 5. The beds...OMG the beds. The worst beds we ever slept in. I say beds because we had 2 queens. We tried both beds. We both had such horrible backaches all weekend. We would have went somewhere else, but everyone else was booked. After all, it was a holiday. I've used this brand in other cities and had positive experiences. I'm amazed and dismayed at the condition and staff at this one. One word summary...WOW.

We were assigned 3 rooms before we found one that had properly functioning TV's. TV's need to be updsted as does equipment in the breakfast area. The room price was much highr than when we visited two years ago and seemed excessive for the location.

Room was ok..furniture needs updating. bed comfy. Breakfast was a diaspointment....was looking for eggs. Staff very friendly and helpful. Thanks to Irene at check in and check out..also nite guy...sorry can't remember his name...went out of way for info for us....pool s/b warmer....but pool area was really nice...loved the big hot tub....until the kids got in!!!!

Location was ideal. Room was very clean. Staff was very polite and helpful. Dissapointed that the spa was not in service, we picked this hotel for that reason to enjoy our anniversary in. All in all our stay was good. PS == I mentioned to the desk clerk that a possible water leak could be heard in the bathroom coming from above.

We were very happy with everything at the hotel. Check in was fast and friendly. Room was clean and had what we needed. Couldn't ask for a better experience.

free complimentary breakfast, free parking, 15 miles from chestnut mountain ski resort. Had to drive 5 minutes to restaurant.

We went back to Galena, IL during the 4th of July weekend after visiting last year. We got a smaller room this time around, but the fan didn't work in our bathroom. But we loved the hotel, which was why we decided to stay here again. Only problem was our room wasn't ready at check-in, and we had to wait an hour. So we had lunch at Culver's next door.

Our room was clean and comfortable.
