Avoid! This is more a B&B than a hotel. Make no mistake, the rooms are very, very small. As are the beds. Neither 2 are comfy. The rooms are clean enough but the entire hotel including the reception is anything but nice. On top of this, it was overpriced and the breakfast buffet (?) was very unsatisfactory. Life is too short for experiences as these.
We stayed here for 3 nights, small rooms, noisy area and all a bit dated and run down. Staff were excellent, friendly and helpful. Good breakfast but the breakfast room is too small, there were people eating eggs and bacon on their knees. I would not stay here again
This place has a great location and very helpful staff. The rooms are small by American standards, but that is true throughout all of Europe so it wasn't a problem for me. The beds are comfortable and the breakfast is simple but good. Overall I would stay here again.
The good part: conveniently close to the train station and centre, nice&helpful receptionist, good simple breakfast The bad part: tiny room, claustrophobic bath, unsure if one more night would have been feasible for me The aggravation factor: extensive construction works in the street make it impossible to rest at night (an my room was at the top floor)
Very nice cozy hotel art decor hotel in the middle of the town. Not very far form old town , H.C. Andersen home church, city square and opera. The hotel serves very nice breakfast. Domir have a nice bar and with a very friendly bartender.
We stayed at the hotel for five nights, and we quite enjoyed it. The room was bigger than we expected, luckily for us since we had a lot of baggage, which we stored easily out of our way. The bathroom was small but comfortable; the biggest inconvenience for us was the absence of a shower tray (maybe it is a common thing in Denmark?), so you had to be careful while showering not to flood the entire bathroom. Otherwise, we found everything very comfortable; the room was quiet and warm, and the bed was comfortable. We also enjoyed a lot the breakfast, composed with traditional danish food, and the free coffee machine we could take advantage of. The position of the hotel was also very convenient - five minutes from the train station, and about ten to the city center. For sure we will keep this hotel in mind for our next stay in Odense!
We stayed at Hotel Domir for four nights in October to attend a nearby sporting event. The hotel was smallish, with around 40 rooms. There were four floors in the hotel with a small elevator. For our purposes, the room and hotel were certainly acceptable and not far from the station or shopping areas. Pros: - Close to the Odense central station; around 10 minutes to walk. - Nice breakfast buffet with fresh breads, cheeses, meats, fruits, cereals, eggs, bacon, pate, crepes, juice, coffee, tea - Nice service from staff - Room size for us was larger than expected Cons: - Only small bars of soap available; no shampoo, conditioner, body lotion. You have to pay extra for shampoo or go to Lidl to purchase your own - Bathroom itself is small with no room to place toiletries - Bathroom shower; it drains slowly and there is no ridge around the drain so the entire bathroom floor gets wet. There is also no fan to dry the floor off quickly. - Spotty Wi-Fi. It took a while to get it going.
Nice location and design BUT Rooms was very cold- Was able to adjust the heating + Need to ask for a hairdryer - They forgot to bring it so asked again-- Got one that was not working, found it out next morning --- Rooms did not have shampoo --- Needed to buy small bag from reception (5kr), put the shampoo in the room bill, so needed to pay twice since already paid the room while checking in ---- So would not consider convenient to stay and will not book again. It is not very nice to start solving shampoo etc. issues when in a hurry. I am glad that did not face the issue when showering. I wonder how many people just leave their hair dirty? And it is very nice to add a small receipt of shampoo to your travel bill! Why not just increase the room price with 5 Kr but seems to be company policy not to. I wonder why...
Location excellent. Breakfast substantial with good variety. Very good service from one hotel staff member working in the evening. Very unsatisfactory from another who actually screwed up the room allocation Rooms small but adequate.
This place is not central but the sites are not far away. The room was a little small and so was the bathroom with water from the shower splashing onto the toilet. Parking spaces are out back but need good driving to get into! Breakfast was OK but there were no staff in the breakfast room to ask questions.
