The basic advantage of the hotel is the position (outside the city railway station in the city center. The hotel room is what the name claims. A cabin. If you are taller than 175 cm or a plumpy person avoid it - you won't fit in bed (luckily not my case!). I always had the impression someone from ship-crew will bang the door at 6 am to announce we arrived at the harbour. If, however, you like to be on the loo and take a shower at the same time, this is your opportunity to try this (where else?). If you are accompanied by someone you do not want to sleep with (meaning in the same bed) this is also a perfect case. Give him/her the upper bunk and stay in lower one; just for sure-falling from higher than 2 meters (quite possible, if you change position in your sleep, judging from the bed size) may hurt. The breakfast is fair, and is served on the top floor with a nice city view. It has a lot of bread types and even a diy fresh waffle, but lacks of many other things such as fruits and eggs. The personnel is polite and helpful.
The room (2 person bunk bed) was small and very cramped, especially the bathroom, which is literally just a shower with a small sink and toilet. The bed was a bad spring mattress, which I imagine will ruin the sleep of anyone above 25. I would strongly recommend finding parking elsewhere, as the parking basement is very small and with more than 4 cars very hard to manoeuvre in. The entrance is a tight and steep downhill ramp with a tight 90 degree turn at the end which makes getting out a real challenge.
Spent a night here, small rooms, tiny bed , nice staff and clean, but bed bugs. Woke up bitten on my arm and in February there are no mosquitos. Breakfast was really bad too basic just some bread, butter and cheese or ham, some yoghurt.I paid 635 dk but I don't think it was worth it.
I'm afraid not a pleasant experience. The small bunk bed was extremely uncomfortable, the decor tired and poorly maintained and there was a nasty smell coming from the bathroom. The hotel is, however, in a good location to visit this very pretty city and there is street parking nearby.
This hotel is in the perfect location for travelers. It's right by the train station but not over crowded by it. The room has all the necessities you need and the staff were very kind. Helpful as well. Mark, at the desk even took the time to order a delivery pizza for my husband who didn't know how. Then talked with my husband while he waited for it to be delivered. My husband kept telling me how great he was. Again it's a great location. We were able to walk to almost everywhere we had stopped in Odense to see.
Good for a one-night stay - tiny rooms (narrow single beds) as well as a bathroom. Room was clean tho. If you need a hairdryer, you can get it in reception leaving a deposit. Good location in the centre, next to the train station.
I stayed with my wife for one night in the smallest room, much smaller than the room we had in a cruise several days before. The room is so small that a suitcase can be open on the bed or on the floor, but must be closed in order to be able to move from the bed to the door to bathroom. Air-condition in the room was not effective and it was too warm in the room. The windows had to be close since the room was on the first floor. The bathroom was the smallest I ever saw. There was no place to put soap, no carpet since all bathroom looks like a pond at the end of the shower, and the sink was very small. Breakfast was good. Parking was too small for mid-size car.
The title says it all; it is still a hotell to avoid... Rooms tiny , beds are very narrow, pillows not noticable and linnen in green reminding you of the time you spent in hospital.... Breakfast is very limited and not worth the money they charge you. On the positive side the staff is nice and room was clean so if rating was on staff only it would be much higher score.
Needed a place to stay at for a single night, so chose Cabinn since it was the cheapest I could find in Odense at the given date. And, well, it felt. The room (economy class): - was perfectly clean - all the bed linen were almost plastic-like to the touch - you had to back up into the bathroom to sit on the toilet - the mattress was really hard (some will like that, others won't) - no air conditioning that I could see, and, yes, you could open the window, BUT you couldn't lock it in place, so no chance of keeping it just sliiiightly ajar Also paid for breakfast buffet, and it was honestly not worth the extra money. Save it, spend a bit extra, and get something good at one of the cafes. Service was however just fine, nothing special, but fine. Overall, you get what you pay for. It's relatively cheap (compared to prices in general in Denmark), it's clean, but that's really it. Would I book a room again? If I'm just staying a single night, sure. Else, not so sure.
We booked online late in the day and arrived late in the evening. We found it to be a very trendy and a very clean place. I will probably stay here again, if I return this way. the traditional Scandinavian breakfast was faultless!
