This hotel is in the perfect location for travelers. It's right by the train station but not over crowded by it. The room has all the necessities you need and the staff were very kind. Helpful as well. Mark, at the desk even took the time to order a delivery pizza for my husband who didn't know how. Then talked with my husband while he waited for it to be delivered. My husband kept telling me how great he was. Again it's a great location. We were able to walk to almost everywhere we had stopped in Odense to see.
Good for a one-night stay - tiny rooms (narrow single beds) as well as a bathroom. Room was clean tho. If you need a hairdryer, you can get it in reception leaving a deposit. Good location in the centre, next to the train station.
I stayed with my wife for one night in the smallest room, much smaller than the room we had in a cruise several days before. The room is so small that a suitcase can be open on the bed or on the floor, but must be closed in order to be able to move from the bed to the door to bathroom. Air-condition in the room was not effective and it was too warm in the room. The windows had to be close since the room was on the first floor. The bathroom was the smallest I ever saw. There was no place to put soap, no carpet since all bathroom looks like a pond at the end of the shower, and the sink was very small. Breakfast was good. Parking was too small for mid-size car.
The title says it all; it is still a hotell to avoid... Rooms tiny , beds are very narrow, pillows not noticable and linnen in green reminding you of the time you spent in hospital.... Breakfast is very limited and not worth the money they charge you. On the positive side the staff is nice and room was clean so if rating was on staff only it would be much higher score.
Needed a place to stay at for a single night, so chose Cabinn since it was the cheapest I could find in Odense at the given date. And, well, it felt. The room (economy class): - was perfectly clean - all the bed linen were almost plastic-like to the touch - you had to back up into the bathroom to sit on the toilet - the mattress was really hard (some will like that, others won't) - no air conditioning that I could see, and, yes, you could open the window, BUT you couldn't lock it in place, so no chance of keeping it just sliiiightly ajar Also paid for breakfast buffet, and it was honestly not worth the extra money. Save it, spend a bit extra, and get something good at one of the cafes. Service was however just fine, nothing special, but fine. Overall, you get what you pay for. It's relatively cheap (compared to prices in general in Denmark), it's clean, but that's really it. Would I book a room again? If I'm just staying a single night, sure. Else, not so sure.
We booked online late in the day and arrived late in the evening. We found it to be a very trendy and a very clean place. I will probably stay here again, if I return this way. the traditional Scandinavian breakfast was faultless!
Vary basic but well working hotel, dirt cheap and super value for the money. Its for sure not a 5 star hotel, but what do you expect for less than USD 100 per night for 2 persons incl breakfast. The rooms are small (like in very small) but they have everything needed for a place to sleep, clean and fresh rooms, good Danish breakfast. The only thing I could complain a bit about is that I think the beds are a bit too soft, but guess thats a question about what your used too. I will definitely come back.
The hotel is right next to the train station. No need to lug your stuff and walk all over (even if it is a relatively small town). The room we had was clean and functional. Nothing extravagant, but I knew I didn't book the Ritz. A very high price-performance ratio. The staff were efficient and very helpful. Helped me print out my electronic train tickets. Sent it from my room, walked downstairs, and already printed. That kind of service and helpfulness is more than I can say for many other hotels. Decent breakfast buffet, which was important for my kid.
So having never been to Odense before, I booked this hotel due to its location to the station I was arriving at and also the price. This hotel cost me about $80 AUD a night which is quite cheap for most places that are hotels however the motto here is "All you need to sleep" and let me tell you, it is no frills, simple and really just a place to sleep and put your luggage. I booked the economy room and luckily it was only me! I'm only 5ft 2 but even to me the room was quite small and the "bathroom" was probably no bigger than that of a public toilet cubicle. The shower was in one "corner" and the toilet was opposite albeit one literal step away. The location though was great and easy to get to the main centre where all the shops are by a 10-15min walk. There is a 7/11 in the main station a min away but note they aren't like a normal 7/11 but there is also a coffee place, McDonalds, kebabs, bagels, sandwiches etc in this building so you won't starve. The room has a little kettle and coffee/tea stuff but no milk or creamer and no mini fridge to store any cold products. The lady at the front desk was super friendly and helpful with any questions which was great. I'd recommend you book a bigger room if there are two of you or if you're claustrophobic but for the price and location I'd stay here again =)
CabInn is a chain that offers teeny-tiny rooms in good locations for a very low price. The small beds are very comfortable; the cramped bathrooms are an annoyance, but that's a relatively minor factor for us. We've stayed at many Cabinns throughout Denmark, and the one in Odense is one of the better ones. Clean, well-located just steps from the main train station, friendly staff. Two negatives: the shampoo provided by Cabinn is truly grim, so make sure to bring your own. And the breakfast buffet is overpriced, particularly since there is no hot food.
