We booked online late in the day and arrived late in the evening. We found it to be a very trendy and a very clean place. I will probably stay here again, if I return this way. the traditional Scandinavian breakfast was faultless!
Vary basic but well working hotel, dirt cheap and super value for the money. Its for sure not a 5 star hotel, but what do you expect for less than USD 100 per night for 2 persons incl breakfast. The rooms are small (like in very small) but they have everything needed for a place to sleep, clean and fresh rooms, good Danish breakfast. The only thing I could complain a bit about is that I think the beds are a bit too soft, but guess thats a question about what your used too. I will definitely come back.
The hotel is right next to the train station. No need to lug your stuff and walk all over (even if it is a relatively small town). The room we had was clean and functional. Nothing extravagant, but I knew I didn't book the Ritz. A very high price-performance ratio. The staff were efficient and very helpful. Helped me print out my electronic train tickets. Sent it from my room, walked downstairs, and already printed. That kind of service and helpfulness is more than I can say for many other hotels. Decent breakfast buffet, which was important for my kid.
So having never been to Odense before, I booked this hotel due to its location to the station I was arriving at and also the price. This hotel cost me about $80 AUD a night which is quite cheap for most places that are hotels however the motto here is "All you need to sleep" and let me tell you, it is no frills, simple and really just a place to sleep and put your luggage. I booked the economy room and luckily it was only me! I'm only 5ft 2 but even to me the room was quite small and the "bathroom" was probably no bigger than that of a public toilet cubicle. The shower was in one "corner" and the toilet was opposite albeit one literal step away. The location though was great and easy to get to the main centre where all the shops are by a 10-15min walk. There is a 7/11 in the main station a min away but note they aren't like a normal 7/11 but there is also a coffee place, McDonalds, kebabs, bagels, sandwiches etc in this building so you won't starve. The room has a little kettle and coffee/tea stuff but no milk or creamer and no mini fridge to store any cold products. The lady at the front desk was super friendly and helpful with any questions which was great. I'd recommend you book a bigger room if there are two of you or if you're claustrophobic but for the price and location I'd stay here again =)
CabInn is a chain that offers teeny-tiny rooms in good locations for a very low price. The small beds are very comfortable; the cramped bathrooms are an annoyance, but that's a relatively minor factor for us. We've stayed at many Cabinns throughout Denmark, and the one in Odense is one of the better ones. Clean, well-located just steps from the main train station, friendly staff. Two negatives: the shampoo provided by Cabinn is truly grim, so make sure to bring your own. And the breakfast buffet is overpriced, particularly since there is no hot food.
Needed a fast trip to shake the stress of the work of me, so i search for a Budget hotel to stay in Odense, and i found the Cabinn. When i arrived at the place, it was just what i expected, small rooms, small bathrooms, but it was what i paid for. This places futfilled its purpose.
Hotel was very clean, rooms are very small and not much room to move around although we had a twin and put the beds sideways to the walls which gave us slightly more room. Bathroom well very small good luck sitting on the toilet in a normal way you rest your right arm on the sink. Shower is very good and hot and powerful but does have a cling on to you shower curtain. We had problems with the fire alarms going off at 3am. Take clothes to sleep in as the rooms are very cold. We was told the heating system had broken down and did not work at all in the four days we was there. Good location to bus and train stations and short walk to town centre.
I stayed at the CabINN for one week in Sept 2016. The hotel is as expected: small rooms, tiny bathrooms, limited breakfast (no eggs!), but friendly and helpful staff. The modest standard does not pose a problem for me; you don´t book at CabINN if you are looking for luxury. What was worrying, however, was that the fire alarm went off TWO times during my stay. Both times in the middle of the night, and all guests had to evacuate and wait outside for ca. half an hour while the fire department did their tour. (No fire!) I met a sweet lady in the elevator the day after the last alarm, and if I understood her correctly (poor English), the sprinklers in her room had been set off, leaving her room and all her stuff totally wet... I also got a wake up call at 4.30 (!) one morning – a call which I had not asked for and did not appreciate... It is hopefully a temporary problem (I´ve stayed there severaly times beforewithout any such troubles), but might be good for other travellers to be aware of. I´m a fan of the CabINN concept, but will not book at the Odense Cabinn again.
I stayed for 2 nights at Cabinn Odense during the last week of September. The hotel is conveniently located beside the train station. Coming from Copenhagen and then taking the train to Svendborg, made this hotel the proper choice. I booked the 'Economy' room because the 'Commodore' room wasn't available. The room was very clean, had a window you can open but I found the bed a bit tight. It was a comfortable mattress but there wasn't a lot of room to move around. We had a fire alarm going off at 3:00 AM which made everybody going outside for half and hour or so. Quite the adventure I must say :) The shower pressure was good and yes, the bathroom is tiny but when showering you just have to treat it like that, like its a shower only. They provide you with a squeegee so you can wipe out the floor and wall. It dried pretty quickly. The hotel has a nice breakfast area in which you can overlook the city. Breakfast was good with good coffee, cereal, juice, cold meats and fruits.
Cabinn is really close to the trains station which is convenient, its location is really good, but the rooms are tiny and the beds are tiny. It was impressive though how they used the space for a tiny room and the bathroom/shower combination was innovative. It did feel like I was in a submarine at some point. Generally clean with a good breakfast, if you're into convenience rather than a luxury stay, this is a good place.
