Sheraton Fuerteventura Beach, Golf & Spa Resort5.0 out of 5.0

I love fuerteventura, the weather is perfect, the food is great, but the hotel is on top of everything, the interior is very relaxing, but the luxury service is so good the hotel is full, but you do not feel, it is very relaxing and quiet The place of your stay is to rent a car and see the neighboring islands and spend a day at sea. I would definitely recommend it and will go back again.
This place overflows in beauty and harmony, the panoramic view is incredible, the service ... in short ... it's like a paradise. It really is an experience to be here and to contemplate the sea, it is worth every penny invested.
i really liked this hotel from the staff to the food. You will be well looked after and its a nice area not a big resort so if you a looking for a lively spot then this may not be for you. so the beach is lovely but rocky so you will need beach shoes.
The hotel is large and well equipped with all the features of the summer resort. It is conveniently located at the yellow sandy beach at the ocean. It is not far away from the airport. You can see the planes above the hotel but the noise is not noticeable. Arriving by taxi at the driveway, we were greeted by the doorman by our last name, what made very positive impression. I was wondering how the doorman knew it was us, anyway even it it was a wild guess, he did not make a mistake and impressed us xD The front dest staff was helpful, quick, friendly and funny. There were some problems with accepting Diners Club cards, as not all front desk staff members knew that it requires different card acceptance machine, not the one on the counter. Unfortunately I did not get upgrade as Platinum SPG member. The rooms were large and comfortable, overseeing the pools and the ocean. The view was great. Bathroom included separate walk-in gower and bathtube. The hotel is very big and it was full at the time of xmas and new year, but I did not feel it was crowded. The restaurants were full and it was impressive to see how the waiters managed to seat and service everyone without delays. The food selection is large, with several stations including cooking service on demand. Gym is small with several machines and 2-3 trade mills. It was enough to keep the daily exorcise routine. Spa offers several steam rooms and sauna and jet pool with jacuzzis. Outdoor you can do lots of stuff like play in the outdoor swimming pool, play mini golf, dine in the pool restaurant, go to the beach, or walk around the neighbourhood. There is a small shopping mall with cinema nearby and McDonald's across the street. Many thanks to the staff at the front desk and the restaurants.
The warm welcome to this hotel wasn't just for appearance, it was genuine among all staff all week. Staff were lovely and made us feel at home in this huge hotel where we got lost the first few days. It would be a good idea to get someone to show you around first but maybe part of the fun was finding our own bearings. Our deluxe room was lovely with views of the sea and beyond to the marina, though we were over the children's playground but at that time of year and with the cold, windy weather, we needn't worry about any noise. The bed was the best we've ever slept on and huge. We spent a lot of time in the room reading because of the weather but we can't blame the hotel for the weather. However, the seats in the room could be more comfortable for those rare occasions. The iron cushioned outdoor type chairs were not comfy for long term sitting, but then guests probably don't usually need to use them. Breakfast provided a great variety and the one buffet meal in the dining room was grand and good value at €22 a head. The outdoor area for the dining room lovely if only we had the weather. We enjoyed the live entertainment in the Piano Bar where we enjoyed lots of various cocktails, again well priced for a five star hotel. And again, staff here great. It's location on the beach was ideal though the windy cold walk to the strip in the evenings made us take taxis but again at under €3 these were cheap. Plenty of beds around the pools and we loved the pool restaurant where we lunched most days. There were plenty of activities for guests like yoga and water aerobic if guests were so inclined. We can't fault this hotel but we disliked the resort in general. But maybe it was the bad weather and that in mid January, it was off season.
Firstly let me say this was our third stay here and we had another wonderful week - we are fans of the hotel. The problem arose when we came to check out and found that our bill had an additional change per day for our daughter sharing our room. Let me be absolutely clear my booking form has a price for the room and states 2 adults and 1 child and that is what there was in the room. As I could not resolve this with the front desk at the time I referred the matter to head office and for the past month I have been passed back and forward from head office to the hotel itself receiving ever more ridiculous responses. The hotel says that the additional charge should have been shown on the booking form but it wasn't as "they seem to have forgotten to mention it". Head office says "Please note moving forward that some of our hotels have additional fees if there will be more than two guests in the room" presumably meaning that some (but not all) of their hotels will charge you for more than two people in a room even if you have booked for more than two people and been told the price for that. On three occasions I have asked for the dispute to be escalated or for the name of an independent arbitration panel that we can refer the matter to. All of these have been ignored.
Stayed here for a week to celebrate my sister’s birthday in February and when we arrived we were greeted at reception by Tom who was wonderful and very friendly. Gave us a glass of Cava and checked us in nice and quickly. The hotel looks amazing and is in a good location a little way outside of the main town of bars and restaurants but the walk along the beach takes 10-15 minutes and is very pleasant. Breakfast was great, there was just about everything you could imagine on offer with tables inside and outside and the staff were all great (apart from one who I shall not name!) The pool area is lovely, it’s a shame the week we were there was quite cold so not many people were using the pools although one was heated. We did enjoy the daily Aqua Aerobics ( thank you Ciara). The reasons I have only given this hotel 3 is because it is very cold. Our room was freezing and there is no heating, all you can do is make sure the air conditioning is turned off, which the maid kept turning on and leaving on! The other reason is the noise. The sound of heavy furniture being dragged around on the tiled floors became unbearable. It was non-stop. I can’t understand why everyone needed to be constantly moving the furniture around all day and night. Also thank you to the person who I think must have been in a room on the floor above us who released their child into the hallway early each morning to run up and down, unbearable. If you are getting a bus transfer from the airport be warned, this hotel is the last drop-off and first pick-up due to it’s location. It took about an hour and a half each way which is unacceptable as the resort is only 5-10 minutes from the airport. I know this is not the fault of the airport, I’m just pointing this out. On the whole we had a good week but I don’t think I would return.
If you stay at this hotel be sure to take a hard hat and some Steel toe cap boots. I was hit on the head by a lift sign which caused concussion and ruined 8 days of a 11 night holiday. I just wanted to go home on arriving home had to attend doctors I was living on painkiller for over 3 weeks the loose sign could have killed someone.. we also found a sign in one of the lifts that had fallen off. The steps around the pool area where loose the rails around the hydro pool where loose not what you expect from a 5 star hotel. The hotel was very clean nice location but not a 5 star the service in the dining room was very below standard tables not set no wine waiter and the when you did get one they didn't know anything about the wines. Breakfast tables not cleared we had to clear our own and find knives and forks . Not enough staff the poor cook in the morning and at night where run off their feet. Short of staff in bar area some nights. The hydro pool was nice but expensive and I had a back massage to try and make myself feel a bit better which was very nice. I have to take my claim to a solicitor as Tui didn't want to know even though it was a package holiday and they are responsible.
Lovely hotel which is huge. You certainly get your steps done by walking around this hotel! Breakfasts were fabulous with a huge variety for all. Only ate in the buffet on our first night and was impressed. Pool area lovely but too chilly to sit out. Wonderful spa area but felt children shouldn't be allowed as unsuitable for them. Had treatments in the spa which were good. Not sure we had the full time allocated though. Would be helpful if there was clocks there. Bar area good and some interesting entertainment! Rooms large and large bathroom. Hotel is 10 minutes from the airport. Lots of restaurants locally within an easy walk.
Couldn’t fault this hotel, The food, level of cleanliness, and the staff were amazingly helpful I will not hesitate to book her in the future it has everything you could possibly want, spa, exercise, rooms, gym, swimming pools with children’s areas
