Another relaxing experience at the Sheraton. The staff are friendly and cater to your needs. The suite we stayed in was spacious and quiet. Omar on reception was warm and catered to our every request - the staff at the veranda bar and piano bar were professional, Carlos, David, Nellio, horhay amongst many others.. We will return again and again to this lovely hotel.. Recent changes appear to show that the hotel is making small renovations and it was nice to have some recognition as a member of the Starwood preferred guest scheme (SPG) even though we use a tour operator to book this particular hotel.. Would be nice to see padded bases to the sun lounges and have complimentary water in the rooms...otherwise a wonderful trip and we will return shortly!
We arrived mid-morning and check in was not until 3pm, however, we were able to leave our cases and do all the paper work at the check-in desk, I gave my mobile number and as we were advised if room was ready before 3pm they would give me a call. We were able to use the facilities at the hotel in the meantime. We went for a walk round the hotel grounds which were lovely and well kept, and walked down to the beach front and had a walk along the lovely promenade into the centre of Caleta de Fuste, this didn't take very long and were soon looking at lots of shops/bars/restaurants/cafes, something for everyone. We went for a drink and had a spot of lunch then made our way back to the Sheraton as it was approaching 3pm. When we arrived our room was ready and we were shown to our room with the bell boy and our luggage. I had asked for a high floor, we had booked a deluxe room with a sea view. Everything was perfect, the room was large and spacious, had a lovely extra large king size bed, a great balcony and full sea view on the 4th floor, (there are 5 floors) so we were very pleased with our room. We had booked Bed and Breakfast for 1 week. The buffet breakfast was great, lots of choice and always fresh and hot food available. The pool area was kept clean and tidy and the sunbeds were OK, personally I do not like plastic sunbeds, but these were quite comfy. Pool/Beach Towels were provided and were always clean. We had a great week in Caleta de Fuste, weather was fantastic and our stay at the Sheraton was excellent. Would recommend this Hotel and if we ever go back to Fuerteventura will stay at this hotel.
Our room was modern, comfortable and spacious, although the hotel as a whole was a little bit tired and dated. Bathroom excellent but floor tiles loose. We were not informed prior to arrival that the hotel is cashless - you are given the option of activating room credit (at a standing rate of €80 per day, billed in one large chunk and held against the card as security), or paying-as-you-go in the hotels bars and restaurants. Both are pretty undesirable, one lumbers you with a huge holding charge which you may not come close to using (and upon check-out, you're billed again for what you actually used with the holding charge still in place), whilst the other (depending on your bank) results in many foreign transaction charges/poor exchange rates every time you use your card. We found ourselves in the position of having €500 in cash that we couldn't use, inconvenient and ridiculous. Also, no receipts given when billing stuff to the room, you basically sign a handwritten order pad. Front desk staff excellent, although some bar staff were quite rude (we got shouted at for standing reading the drinks menu at the "wrong end of the bar") A couple of missing dinner reservations along the way, despite having booked with reception, although complementary dinner given by way of an apology (and re-booking us into the restaurant of our choice - although this also failed to come to pass). Spa very good. Poolside pleasant, although the repeated attempts by pool activities staff to pester people into aquarobics was tiresome. Breakfast average (scrambled eggs repeatedly on the rawside, blue bottles roam freely). Flight path not as much of an issue as other reviews make it out to be. Enjoyable, but lacking.
Booked here for my Wife's special Birthday, I e-mailed Hotel before we flew out and they arranged Proseco, Chocolates and a Card for her on our arrival, not only that they did something similar 4 days later on her actual Birthday, what a lovely thing to do and a special thanks to Laura Hernandez Di Virgilio and Eva of Guest Services for their thoughtfulness, it was really appreciated. Thanks to Aaron in the Verandah and Faro Restaurants, he was polite, courteous and a joy, so refreshing. Our original favourite Hotel was in Cancun, Mexico which is a 5 star, however this trip has surpassed that and The Sheraton will now be our number one choice, we will be regulars from now on and that is down to the pleasantness, helpfulness and professionalism of the Staff, the cleanliness of the whole place, the great facilities and food not to mention the value..Sheraton Fuerteventura congratulations, you have got everything spot on and we will be back time and time again...adios Mexico 😎😎
I spend here 8 Days with my Wife and we had alot of funn . The service is awsome. The food is amazing and there is always many type of Meat and fish . I'm very satisfied with the service and the stuff.
Stayed here with family in September Rooms - large, immaculately clean, comfy beds, clean powerful showers, big bathrooms. Grounds and pool area are huge and very well maintained. Pool toilets need a little more / regular attention, during the day. Food - great choice of buffet. We had breakfast and dinner. I wouldn't quite rate it as 5* though. In addition, you are charged for water (both sparkling and still) during the evening dinner service??! I personally think water should be included in the board. 95% of staff are very friendly and helpful. Odd one or two are a little miserable. The pool bar / restaurant service is a little slower , piano bar .... very slow on an evening. They were clearly very understaffed. Biggest disappointment - this hotel advertises that it has its own private beach. It doesn't. And you have to pay €5 a day for a bed + extra for an umbrella. The hotel is very reasonably priced , for a 5*. Although, given the points above, I don't think it quite hits a 5. Plus, it is a little dated, in certain areas. There is a shopping centre / supermarket close by. However, the closest town, Castillo caleta de fuste is approx a mile away / good 15 min walk----- probably not great if a little less able bodied or have children. Overall, a lovely relaxing stay. Great value for money. I would definitely return.
We booked on Wednesday 6th September for a holiday to start on Saturday 9th September so it was all very last minute. When we arrived at the hotel after a 10 minute taxi rise from the airport, we discovered there was an error in the booking an no record could be found in the system. We were invited to go and enjoy dinner in the hotel restaurant, whilst the reception team looked into it. When we returned a while later they still couldn't find a reservation. We had had a long day and despite the inconvenience the reception team, especially Omar, were fantastic. They made us a new reservation and said that it would be sorted out on Monday morning when the offices all opened. When we went back to the desk on Monday morning, it was all sorted as they had promised. The service was second to none. So what about the rest of the hotel? Food was amazing, quite expensive if you were not Full Board but the quantity and quality could not be faulted. The service from every single member if staff was sensational. It was very quiet round the pool, loads of loungers so despite the signs saying "please don't reserve the loungers" there was never a problem. The hotel were relaxed about guests bringing food and drink in from the local supermarket. We did this and had a drink on our balcony in the evening before dinner. Would we stay here again? Absolutely. Yes there was a slight issue earlier in the holiday but was sorted out so quickly and smoothly it wasn't an issue. Thank you to all the staff and management for making it a fantastic holiday, and we will be returning in the near future.
We had a fabulous stay at the Sheraton Beach, Golf and Spa Resort. We travelled as a family of 4 and stayed in a Premium Family room with Garden View. The accommodation was really nice - very clean. Bath/shower rooms were massive and really high end finish. Bathrobes and slippers provided!!!! Swimming pools fabulous and poolside had plenty of seating and beds for everyone. Good facilities for children - our kids really enjoyed the family fun day especially the foam party. We opted for bed and breakfast but you can have room only, half board or all inclusive. I must say the quality, amount and variety of food available for breakfast was excellent, literally anything from full english to healthy fruit options and everything in between. Staff are very friendly and we were welcomed at reception on our arrival with a glass of sparkling wine and orange juice for the kids. The resort itself is exceptionally well laid out, clean and well worthy of its 5 star rating. It has three swimming pools and a baby pool with slide and characters squirting water so great for all families. Also, we had no problem with getting a sun bed as there are more than enough in each pool area.Just a tip - the hotel provides towels for the pool so you don't need to bring any - you can use them for the beach too. The apartment was really good sized and very well decorated. We had a downstairs apartment by the childrens swings so perfect for us as we could see them playing from our patio area but really all the apartments are fairly near at least one of the swimming pools. There is also a free safe in the room and a mini bar which we used to put our own water/drinks in as there are no kitchen facilities in the room. The bar staff didnt mind you asking for ice to take back to the room for your own drinks!! As we went B&B we walked into the town each night for dinner. If you go out by the back entrance then you have a more picturesque walk along the sea front into town where as if you go out the main entrance of the hotel it is a bit quicker into town but you walk along side the dual carriageway - depends how hungry you are!! Either way it is not much more than a 10-20 minute walk (depending on how quickly you walk) which ever way you go. For those who don't like walking then a cab for 2 adults & two children is only between 4-5 euros so really cheap - the hotel will call you a taxi. On the way home there are 2 taxi ranks fairly near each other. In the town, there are loads of different restaurants so will cater for everyone's tastes - as always the restaurants nearer the beach are a bit more expensive but nothing too outrageous. Restaurants very accommodating and offer a wide range of dishes - most have a children's menu or they will do a smaller portion of the main menu at a slightly cheaper price. Our favourite was KM Zero in the main street and Kobe on the main road walking into town from hotel. There is also a nice bar called Millennium bar which is underneath KM Zero - offers 2 for one drinks before 10pm and has a really nice seating area. The beach outside the hotel is good too - lots of activities. If you have kids who can swim and like jumping and climbing then you will love the " sea bouncy castle" by the harbour (15 min walk). You can also take boat trips from their too. Alternatively, if you want a more leisurely approach you can hire a pedalo directly outside the hotel. If you go to the beach, two sunbeds and a brolly are 10.50 euros. Also, if you like water parks then there is one in Corralejo -it is about 30-45 mins from Caleta De Fuste but that is because it was booked with an agent so we were on a multiple pick up which inevitably delays things. If you have your own car then it would be much quicker to get to directly. It cost us 118 euros for the travel and entrance (entrance only is 25 euros for adults and 19 euros for kids). The park has rides/slides for both adults and kids and we enjoyed the day. In One last tip, if you are going room only or B&B then there is a lovely shopping mall literally five minutes from the hotel - you can get it to from either the hotel entrance or beach entrance. It has a load of shops including a SPAR supermarket which is really good and prices are really reasonable. The mall also had a ten pin bowling alley which was good fun.Remember to take socks!! I should say that the mall also has 4 or 5 restaurants - if you like Pizza I would recommend going into Panna Pomodoro which is on the top level of the mall - fantastic pizzas - any toppings!!! Overall, we had a fabulous holiday and would thoroughly recommend the Sheraton Resort.
Hotel of character arching round a glade of trees and pools. Selection of places to eat and drink onsite; a little steep on price but you get what you pay for. Staff efficient and helpful, massive breakfast buffet, apparently the best place to stay on the island.
The Sheraton hotel was clean, friendly and had excellent facilities. The spa is amazing. We only had bed and breakfast as we like to visit local restaurants. There were plenty to choose from in reasonable walking distance and our favourite was at the end of a pier just 5 minutes from the Sheraton beach gate. September is an ideal time to visit as the summer crowds have gone and the pool areas are pleasantly peaceful.
