Excellence to a tee would highly recommend this hotel to anyone wishing the perfect holiday we upgraded and this was a pleasure all thanks to the kind man on reception nothing was any bother just amazing from start to finish
We stayed at the Sheraton Fuertevenura for 1 week and we had a Fabulous time. All the staff were professional and friendly. The hotel is big with plenty of spots to relax and unwind. It’s extremely clean, as are the rooms which are a very good size. The pool area is huge, spotless and well maintained, no safety issues for the kids. 2 of the pools are heated and not deep which is great for the little ones. There are plenty of sun loungers and space to enjoy the rays. To the rear of the hotel is a lovely beach. We decided this holiday to eat out and didn’t use the hotel restaurants. However there are so many good places to have lunch and dinner. I would recommend the following, Aamares( ate here twice) Ascension, Fado Rock Steak House and La Frasquita. All a 15 min walk or 5 min cab ride from the hotel. For those who crave an Egg McMuffin or Big Mac there is also a Macdonald’s 5 Mins from the hotel. The kids club is ok with daily events and in the evening there is a kids disco with family entertainment immediately afterwards. Please bear in mind that Fuertenventura is a windy island and it can get a bit chilly in the evenings. In conclusion, this a fab hotel in a good location. There is nothing not to like, I would highly recommemed it. Ps you will read reviews about the planes flying overhead, to be honest, there are not frequent and will not in anyway spoil your holiday.
Sheraton at Fuerteventura at its best. My husband, son and I had a wonderful holiday experience staying at the Sheraton Fuerteventura between 17 May and 27 May 2018. We had the most amazing welcome from all the staff. In particular I would like to mention Omar Martinez at Reception who was most attentive and took care of everything throughout our entire stay, from highlighting all the facilities in the hotel, to arranging golf and providing advice about places to visit on the island. We had an amazing room on the 4th floor which looked out over the pool to the promenade and sea. Our room was very comfortable and clean with everything you could possibly wish for. The range of facilities in the hotel was comprehensive, with beautiful gardens, a wonderful pool area with a choice of heated or non-heated pools. The location of the hotel was absolutely perfect: opposite the beach; next to the golf course; right on the seafront promenade, which took you to Caleta de Fuste, the shops and supermarket. The food in the main restaurant was amazing, with so much variety and choice every day. There was a particularly good selection of local dishes and the service was of a very high standard. We celebrated our son’s birthday with an amazing meal in the Faro Restaurant and a few Ronmiel’s at the Piano Bar where we enjoyed the professional entertainment. I would like to thank all the staff that made his birthday so special. We look forward to our next visit. Virginia
I have just returned today from spending 10 nights at this perfect hotel - we stayed in a double deluxe sea view with B&B. It must be 10 years since I have spent this style of holiday in an hotel - have always done villas/appartments. The service and staff were second to none and the whole "Sheraton exprience" was absolutely outstanding in my opinion. The beds were comfy and big, the room was large, separate walk in shower, bath, his/her sinks and separate toilet/bidet. We were on the 3rd floor and had an amazing view overlooking the gardens/pool/ocean and Las Ilas bar that goes out into the ocean. Breakfast - you just could not ask for the wrong thing. The hotel clearly caters for absolutely every taste from cereals, fresh/dried fruit, pancakes, omlettes, an amazing array of breads/pastries, yogurts, eggs (every way you could imagine), the cooked breakfast selection was incredible - I now have a "taste" for advocado and poached eggs! To top it off there was the opportunity to make breakast a "champagne" breakfast with a choice of pink or white cava and additionally (not my thing) but vodka and tom juice for a bloody mary. The continental meat/cheese selection was also spectacular. The entertainment in the Piano Bar at night was relaxed - a nice mix. The outside of the Piano Bar was a lovely spot for an evening drink and when it got chilly the fab patio heaters were turned on. I found the drinks in the Piano Bar very reasonably priced for a Sheraton and no more expensive than anywhere else that I went to over the course of the 10 days (eg 4 euros for a Cava is pretty standard). The staff day/night cannot do enough for you. We were welcomed upon check in with a glass of Cava - very nice touch. When it was time to check in for our return flights all I needed to do was to email the boarding passes to reception who printed them out and delivered them to my room - very impressive. The pool area is lovely - I did not personally find the animation team or the music overbearing - from memory there was only the childrens pool activities and adults swimaroebics set to music and only for a short while so no issue at all. The childrens disco was held at 6 pm in a function room and did not impact at all on anywhere in the hotel. My husband smokes but going (just) outside the hotel to have a cigarette seriously was not an issue either (on the upside may have made him smoke a little less?!!) you would not expect to be able to smoke on the balcony / terrace of UK hotel so why so in the Canaries? All the bars etc are very relaxed about smoking on the whole and I think that the Sheraton one can smoke on the terrace of the Piano Bar. All in all a simply wonderful time - thank you to everyone at the Sheraton that made my Spring break such a memorable exprience - I will be back.............
The hotel is a few kilometers from the airport. It is in a nice location, with a beautiful clean beach, but just on the landing path of the planes. You can see and hear them as they come throughout the day, this might irritate some. On the other side can only offer a glowing review: the staff is fantastic, friendly and professional. The rooms are large and all seem to be facing the pool area and the ocean. They are in good shape and the whole hotel is kept extremely clean. It feels casual, not stiff, but top notch. The breakfast and dinner buffets (different theme every day) at the main restaurant are setting new benchmarks. Forget about keeping to your new year's dietary resolutions: tremendous choice, very good quality, there is almost no way to stop. There is a gym, rather small, the free weights are on the light side, but in ok state, allowing for some cardio and basic weight lifting. The SPA is quite nice nice, with some small indoor pools, bubble baths, sauna, etc. It is the outside area that makes this hotel shine: the pool area is large, different pools, different depths and different temperatures. The hotel follows a strict "no reservation with towel policy" - perfect! exiting the gate and crossing a walking/biking road, you are right at the beach, well protected from large waves, nice sand, clean, just the way it should be. Inside the resort there is a playground, a kids club, a tennis field, a beach volley field, a basket ball court, an archery range and a mini golf. What more do you want? OK, since this hotel obviously strives for perfection, I would recommend a small sports center at the beach with 1-2 hobie cats, a few surfboards, canoes, some snorkeling equipment, ;-)) The restaurant at the pool offers a nice selection of quick lunches and there are also two more à-la carte restaurants. The Asian one is more fusion than Asian, but then again, can imagine how hard it is to get the right ingredients there... Lastly it is in walking distance from a relatively good shopping center and to the nearby small town. Overall: it was a fantastic holiday, the Sheraton offers great service to all age groups, we warmly recommend it as a go to place when in Fuerteventura.
We have just returned from a very good week at the Sheraton. Comfortable bed, good food and charming staff. Highly recommended. The Chiringuito restaurant on the little island by the beach is excellent, the only disappointment was that you have to pay for a sun bed & straw parasol on the beach which was collected in a very aggressive manner by the chap on the beach.
Staff, with one exception, were professional, friendly and very helpful. However, their management doesn't understand the concept of 'barefoo't luxury, which I would expect from a 5* resort. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. Unfortunately, the hotel is right under the flight path with noisy aircraft flying low above. Whilst some things cannot be helped, the pool was noisy with activities throughout the day involving loud music. The glass partitions in the balconies do not give much privacy and you can see and hear pretty much everything (guests next door spent their time in the balcony and were noisy). To top it all, their smoking policy is Draconian to say the least and can't smoke in your own balcony, which is absurd. Smokers are a sizable demographic and pay good money just like everyone else. It was not relaxing at all and couldn't wait to leave.
Travelled as couple, mid April. Room and facilities were perfect. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet was extensive, something for even the fussiest eater! Would certainly recommend.
The hotel and facilities are all excellent The buffet food is superb and the variety is exceptional The staff make this hotel great, as they are all brilliant - Tom at Reception was always at hand for advice and Pablo at the bar is great and ask for a Mojito - WOW!
We’ve only just come back from a week at the Sheraton what can I say FABULOUS . The room was beautiful the breakfast was great so much choice of food to choose from .The other restaurants in the hotel were lovely too.I’d like to say a big thankyou to all the staff that work there ,thankyou for making our holiday special . We’ve already booked to come back again cant wait ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
