As in title. Stayed with Family of 4 in single room. During 4 day stay we enjoyed good food and weather. Only negative was mosqitos that were quite annoying. Compared to other hotel in area that we stayed it was very clean in comparison and suprisingly we didn't notive any cocroaches as was our experience in lower standard places.

Two things to warn you about here - although not a nudist beach there were plenty of people strolling up and down it in their altogether which we didn't appreciate at all and if you take a coach transfer you could end up spending 3 hours or more getting to the hotel. Book a taxi it's easy and cost us 75Euros which after 3 hours on a coach plus an hour of waiting was far preferable. That aside this is a nice hotel with really nice staff. We had a Level room on the 9th floor which was a nice enough room but as you'll read in other reviews the hotel is quite tired now and needs a refurb. The pool area is very worn down and the fixtures and finishes in the hotel need modernising. The food is plentiful but definitely geared more towards German guests, however it's nice food. With regard to Level I probably wouldn't have booked this had I realised that there's nothing in their private lounge you can't get anywhere else (other than newspapers) and the lounge balcony seats two people. Also your all inclusive ends at 11pm which is when everything ends basically, the paid bar is later. Despite being Level guests we mostly ate at the main restaurant as there was more choice, which confused serving staff a little. This isn't somewhere you're going to book if entertainment is what you're looking for, not great for kids in terms of food choices either. However if walking on the beach is your thing or just relaxing by the pool then it's a good choice.

Nice hotel on a beautiful beach. Probably the biggest room I have had in recent years with a lovely sea view. The balcony was massive with 2 sun loungers. Only downside was it was north facing so no sun. Yes the bathrooms are quite dated but adequate and the water was always hot.The room was spotlessly clean as was the rest of the hotel. Breakfast was fairly well organised and so much choice. 2 chefs cooking fresh pancakes, omelettes and eggs every morning. We only had one evening meal which was quite average but very reasonably priced. Salad bar and desserts were good but mains were nothing to write home about. Staff were always friendly and helpful. The grounds of this hotel are very well kept and the main pool is absolutely enormous if you want to swim lengths, often with hardly anyone in it as the beach was so nice. You can walk for miles but other than one other hotel and a snack bar, there is nothing much within walking distance. Good if you like solitude or you have a car. On the subject of hire cars, if you take no notice of anything else I have written here, please just don't use Goldcar. Worst rental company I have ever used and be warned they will rip you off for extras you neither want nor knew about. Back to the hotel, I can't really say anything bad about it and for a week of sun and relaxation, I would definately return here.

The hotel look nice at first glance but was a disappointment whwn it comes to service. Endless queing at breakfast and dinner and had to wake up every morning at 7 o'clock due to large construction work place outside bedroom, Noisy air condition and no possibility to sleep with open windows night time as thera are lots of mosquitos Very friendly staff though and very high level of all sorts of beverage.

Hotel was clean, food was excellent . AI option had quality brand drinks not just local alcohol. Staff aimed to please. Quality food choices, freshly prepared meals . Desert option had an even wider range Location was ideal

Had a lovely time in the Melia Gorriones . We were all inclusive. Relaxing, good choice of food and drink even premium brand . Our room was on the 4th floor payed for sea view a bit limited due to trees, so maybe ask for floors higher. Large room and balcony with sun beds, toiletries provided, clean but needs up dating looking a bit tired. Lovely staff bar, waiters, cleaners all staff very friendly. For what we paid we had no complaints they are updating the hotel so the gym and a out side bar was shut and building work going on but didn't effect us . My main moan would be the outside pool area is in terrible condition and needs urgent care and attention. And also having Bali beds in the bar was a complete waste of space put them out side were they belong. But we enjoyed our stay.

Large, clean rooms with amazing view through panoramic windows (sea, lagoon, and hills). Very friendly staff, wide selection of delicious food for both breakfast and dinner, very good selection of quality alcohols in all-inclusive option. The hotel is located in the middle of nowhere (next town is 5 km away) so it's very quiet and peaceful, and surrounded by beautiful landscapes. The beach is huge and doesn't get crowded. There's a very good kite- and windsurfing school and rental (Rene Egli).

What is the point of having an online check in service with a ‘priority’ reception if they don’t bother to man it and the single receptionist on duty just smiles at you in bemusement whilst serving everyone else! Not exactly a great first impression.

Arriving at the hotel, the lobby and pool areas were spacious, clean with lots of places to relax. The sea view rooms were large, clean with great housekeeping.Reception were mostly helpful, though some attention to detail was lacking, I needed to contact the airport and the numbers they gave me to call were all incorrect and waiting time to speak to someone was sometimes frustrating. The main disappointment and challenge at the hotel was the dining experience. The layout inside is very poor, noisy, too unpleasant to dine and limited outside space left uncleaned resulting in constant problems with pigeons! There was a good selection of food but due to the layout it was survival of the fittest to enjoy it. The hotel needs to look at making it easier to clean tables, maybe having stations to place used plates once guests have eaten, more tea, coffee and drink stations and bird feeders to satisfy the ever hungry birds. There’s nothing more frustrating than trying to get orange juice without a glass, coffee without a cup and eat without cutlery and when you’ve been successful in your quest to find them you find the birds are already enjoying your hard fought food. The staff in the dining room work tirelessly but there aren’t enough of them and the whole dining experience needs to change before I would return. It some what spoilt the holiday, though good for weight loss.

Very happy with our stay overall. Only a few small niggles including: car parking was poorly organised and quite difficult; long queues for coffee at breakfast; I got badly bitten by mosquitoes in the room so buy some repellent. Location next to the beach is fantastic. Good quality grounds and landscaping.
