We've just come back from 8 days at the little gem on the hill. This was our 2nd visit and it was even better than last time. The food was fabulous, I think they must have a new chef, not that it was bad last time but everything was extremely delicious and more selection. Everything seemed to have had a bit of a face lift. Our rooms were spotless and as massive as ever, they have new flat screen TVs. The ladies that looked after our room really cared. I had a cold and they found me tissues, they were very very sweet. At the front desk Eloisa was incredibly helpful and just a joy. Oh and the young man who drives the mini bus deserves a big thank you too. He drove back and forth all day, always very charming and always smiling. We love this place and will be going back next year, for definite. Thank you to everyone at the Hotel Jandia Golf for making our stay so special.
We had very mixed feelings about this hotel. The rooms are huge and very clean. We read reviews about cockroaches but I didn’t see a single one. We found that the pool wasn’t the cleanest but it was still decent for a quick dip. There were more than enough sun loungers so getting one was never a problem. Staff very friendly. However, the food was not the best. Very average and very repetitive. Pool bar food not great. If you’re looking for a hotel in a busy area this is not the one for you as it’s quite a bit away from the town.
Stayed in this Hotel in August for 1 week. Our room was spotless. We went half board and the food was very good, plenty of healthy options. Staff were very helpful especially the Front Office Staff who were always pleasant. The Hotel runs a free shuttle bus to the town and to the beach during the day. As a couple we opted to get a taxi into the town most evenings, to the local restaurants and Bars about a 5 minute drive away. However, most notably this Hotel has great entertainment programme and a kids club so it is definitely a great place for families. We noticed a stand in the Hotel offering a professional photograph service. We availed of a photo-shoot on a fabulous nearby beach (ES Photography) the photos were amazing. Grace made the experience great Fun! I would recommend this Hotel.
We have just returned back from a week here...loved it. The food was yummy, plenty of choice... you must be extremely fussy if you can't find anything to eat. The animation team gee gee and anita are amazing and definitely helped make our holiday. Yes sometimes you have to queue for the beach shuttle bus but if he saw you waiting in the queue he would always return for you. Definitely value for money. Would love to return in the future.
Stayed at this hotel for 10 nights, really not suitable if you like being amongst bars and restaurants, you can walk to the beach but would take at least 30 minutes for any able body, but really difficult if not.food ok there is choices but if your fussy you could struggle.the animation team are second to none plenty of fun and games for all ages.things to look out for though, cockroaches and flies, would I go back maybe.
We are staying in this hotel at the moment. We are a very active family we like all the activities but in this hotel we never know about the activities happening or where and when they are and we never hear from the entertainment team at all it's like they don't exist. The hotel and outside smells of sewage and there are cockroaches everywhere. The food is ok but not very intresting.
I'm gonna be brutally honest about my holiday here. We booked through Teletext Holidays on a half board basis. It was our first holiday abroad without our children so we were very excited. I was also extra excited because the hotel says it's adults only (and still does) as I checked before I wrote this review. I work in a school with small children, I really didn't want to spend a week surrounded by other people's children as that would be a bit like a busman's holiday. When we arrived, we were made extremely welcome. The receptionist informed us that as we were only half board, our drinks would be included on the morning but not on an evening. So we would have to pay for any drinks we had. I found this annoying as Whenever I have been half board in the past, my evening drinks would be included. Our room was beautiful and huge! The view from our room was dreadful to say the least; it was of a wall and the smell of the sewers were dreadful. To be expected I suppose, as it was extremely hot! When we got up on our first morning, I was shocked and disappointed to see children. The breakfast was ok. Although I could quickly tire of it. The pool areas were lovely and it's the first place I have stayed at where my husband hasn't had to get up at the crack of dawn to put towels out on the loungers. The atmosphere around the pool was very relaxing, we liked that. 'Birdies' pool side bar was mediocre and only one member of staff serving. The choice of food there was; hot dogs, burger, toasted sandwiches or chips. I was told that I couldn't have chips because I was half board. 😡 the toasted sandwich was an absolute joke! There was two slices of bread that was shown the toaster with a slice of ham and cheese. Not good! Because of the half board basis, we had to carry a blue card so the staff could charge our room. On one particular occasion my husband wanted a drink and went to the pool side bar and showed the blue card. He got an eye roll and sigh from Mecher (I think that's how you spell it) this was obviously too much bother for her! It was her loss because after this we decided to eat and drink in the Town center for the days. The entertainment on an evening was pretty poor as it was mostly child based. I have to say, the reception staff were absolutely lovely and couldn't do enough to help. We were able to use showers after we checked out; as our checkout was at 12 noon and our coach didn't arrive until 3pm. They even gave us fresh towels to use. Overall we had a pleasant stay, I do think the hotel needs to change its advertising from adult only to a family venue. I did find this extremely disappointing. There is nowhere where adults can go and relax of an evening, we found this boring. Although I would go back to Fueteventura I don't think I would stop at this particular hotel.
We've just returned from a week at the Jandia Golf. I'll start with the good points... Breakfast was lovely, plenty of fresh fruit and the kids loved the pancakes and churros. Staff were all friendly and helpful, the lifeguard was great, as were receptionists. Rooms are huge and have free air conditioning. We had a lovely view of the golf course. The beach is AMAZING- wild chipmunks to feed and just a beautiful place to go. Sun beds quite expensive but you don't have to get one. And the not so good .... The snack bar, one person serving always a queue, if you fancy a cocktail in the day forget it. You can self serve beer and sangria from the pumps and kids can self serve soft drinks but some had an odd taste so they stuck to water. We ate out 5 times in the evening as the food was pretty bad, think bad school dinners, we even bought snacks for the room - unheard of for us on an AI. Location is not in walking distance of the beach, there is a bus but only takes around 8 people at a time and there was usually a queue so we ordered cabs (stroppy people in the queue not pleasant) Cabs were around 5E so pretty reasonable The pools are freezing but that was quite welcome with temperatures at 31! Entertainment. The team work hard and there were some ok activities in the day. The evenings were awful, bingo, quiz and as my teenager described it ...Dead. Again one person at the bar in the saloon, probably to stop people drinking too much. We didn't want to get smashed day and night but if you fancy a drink you should be able to get one without queuing for 15 mins. This is not a 4 star hotel but it could be with some investment in more staff, better food but it is clearly about making profit here and quality suffers as a result. Don't get me wrong we had a lovely holiday as we made most of it and left the hotel most days. The old town of Morro Jable is lovely great restaurants and my daughter loved the chipmunks that live in the wall. It's cheap for a reason but you won't get your money's worth and will spend more getting about in search of entertainment and good food We'll definitely go back to the place but will not go back to this hotel.
Hotel is situated up the hill great views pleasant walk down to the beach through the golf course takes about 30 mins they run a mini bus up and down to the beach .rooms are cleaned regularly. The rooms are large and have aircon and ceiling fans.2 good sized pools plenty of sun beds.Resturant has a good variety of meals on offer.we went half board
We had a wonderful suite:- kitenette, lounge/diner (with balcony); Bathroom; Bedroom (with balcony). The hotel area and rooms were kpt very clean. bedroom and lounge have fans. The only niggles were so minor like: free internet in the lounge and pool areas, was run by having to get a ticket from reception. This lasted as little as an hour, so you would have to go back to recetion for another ticket. For some people this could be a major problem but you can buy the interenet which covers the whole hotel including rooms. Food was wonderful with a good choice. Plenty for those who like plain food, but plenty of different sauces etc. to flavour or spice such dishes. One problem was the sunshades, they were not the normal individual ones, but large frames covered with a plastic covering which had small holes which did not give total shade. This could be a prolem for those that need complete shade. Kitchenette had no utensils so you needed to bring your own utensils - athough the board is either full board or all inclusive. the Golf Course is available
