Me and my partner have just got back from staying here for a week. The junior suite we stayed in was lovely with a pool view, separate lounge and kitchen- Very spacious. We did wonder why there was a kitchen when we was all inclusive but unfortunately the food said it all. The food was most definitely the worst I've had in an all inclusive resort, cold and not much choice in our opinion. we was quite poorly the following day. We decided to eat breakfast, lunch and dinner out for the following 6 days of the holiday so of course made our trip more expensive. (Although Fados the restaurant about ten minutes away is well worth a trip, the food is amazing and the portion sizes are out of this world) The all inclusive drinks finish at 11 and the spirits are most definitely watered down. The entertainment is pretty non existent. All in all i would recommend this hotel but on a self catering basis only!! The location is beautiful and there is a lot of restaurants and quiet bars around. You can get a full English breakfast for 3 euro!
The sea view apartments are very clean and spacious. Hotel staff are helpful and polite. Stayed all inclusive, this is not for us next time B&B. Location is ideal for the beach just across the prom. This is a very relaxing holiday
Me and my boyfriend have just returned from a weeks all inclusive stay at the Geranios Hotel. The location is perfect, the resort is a reasonable size but everywhere is within walking distance, the main bars and restaurants are a 10 minute walk max, although there is a handful of restaurants and bars directly outside the front of the hotel which we didn't personally try, however they all looked nice. The hotel is a maximum 15 minutes drive from the airport and we paid 13 euros each way in a taxi. We stayed in a standard junior suite, we were given a lovely ground floor room overlooking the pool and sea, the rooms are fantastic they are modern, have a separate living area, kitchen, bathroom and toilet as well as a bedroom and large balcony. The food was OK. It is definitely not as bad as some of the other previous reviews make out however there is room for improvement. There is a variety of meats, fish and vegetarian options, something for all. There was only one evening throughout the holiday that I didn't enjoy the food on offer which was down to my personal choice. The only other thing I would say is that the restaurant service could be better as tables weren't cleared quickly enough. Overall this hotel is very good value for money and somewhere I would definitely return.
Booked the holiday with On the Beach. This hotel is superb. The check in perfect and swift. The room was outstanding with sea view and a junior suite very roomy and enormous balcony overlooking the beach. The hotel was spacious and quiet and had very friendly staff. The meals were not brilliant but ok not bad but just not to our taste. The pool area spacious and had the snack bar well stocked at all times you wouldn’t go hungry. We had all inclusive. Had a day round the pool and was lovely but we are beach lovers so spent all but the one day on the beach. Sun beds for two with the umbrella was ten euros 50 so not over the top. Literally the beach was 10 metres from the hotel. Shops right next to hotel and couple of restaurants and bars also next to the hotel. A 10 minute walk left or right outside the hotel brought you to shopping centres. Lovely walks to either of the shopping centres all on the flat and along the beach front. Scooters to hire outside the hotel and also push bikes. Beautiful spacious beach and the sea was gorgeous and clear. The hotel and resort was very quiet when we were there so it was a brilliant week. The taxi was 11 euros to and from the airport which is 10 mins drive. The airport is great, plenty of shops and bars and space to sit, plenty of space to smoke too in terrace bars. The weather was scorching while we were there, bit cooler at night but we didn’t need jackets. Highly recommended for resort, hotel, shops, beach, airport and weather. Will be booking soon as possible for next year. Fantastic place for all ages from couples to families, will be definitely taking the grandchildren for the beach and the safe sea. I agree with some reviews about the internet in the hotel, it hardly ever worked but hey ho. Safe in the room was free which is a bonus nowadays and the towels for the pool are great and are 10 euros deposit each which obviously you get back as you check out. The shower room on leaving day was in the Spa and was beautiful to freshen up prior to leaving
Arrived 24/09/17 for a weeks stay with my partner for his birthday and my 30th birthday, quick check in friendly staff, our rooms the other end of the hotel and a bit of a maze to get to. On arrival of our room we were very happy with the junior suite with a sea view. The couple that were travelling with us staying a few rooms down had cava a a treats left in there room, but for what reason? We had nothing and it was my partners birthday the day before so that was very annoying. The staff did bring me some on the thursday but to be honest, because of the fact that my friends had been given the same thing for no reason previous it had already been spoilt for me. Anyway on to the actual review, rooms lovely, staff lovely, the hotel lacks any atmosphere, food lots of good but stone cold. Lots of plates left on tables and had to clear ourselves. Coctails out of of a dispenser are vile, beer ok. Pool bar beer the pump is so grimey you have bits floating in your drinks. We stayed all inclusive but where eating out majority of the time. I must say the paella day round the pool wal lovely though. Entertainment is shocking. Location is great. Beach is just awful much nicer one to the right of the hotel. I Love Fuerteventura and stayed in Corralejo last year the beaches there are just beautiful, so was disapointed in the beach outside the geranios. Did I have a bad Holiday No! Would I want to return back to Geranios No! I will be returning back to Fuerteventura but will avoid Calete de fuste to be totally honest.
We had booked this hotel way back in May and since then some of the reviews were not very favourable and we were starting to worry. However we needn't have as we found the hotel staff to be mostly pleasent, food was very good and the hotel position perfect. The hotel is beach front and a 5 to 10 minute walk to the bars/shops etc. Rooms were great, a good size and also separate living area. The balcony was large and lovely for a nightcap overlooking the pool area. We were booked as all inclusive and had been concerned about the food reviews but although the food wasn't always piping hot it was very good, always plenty to choose from. Breakfast was my favourite meal of the day, I always had an omelette from the live cooking station, the poor chef seemed very under pressure as omlettes were popular and he also had to make the fried eggs etc. He was very good at his job and deserves credit. There didn't seem to be enough floor staff in the restaurant as tables weren't cleared the entire time we were in during the services on most occasions. We took part in a couple of nights evening entertainment - the hotel movie quiz - which we won (woohoo)and the bingo (which we didn't - boo). We enjoyed both very much and usually don't bother with this sort of thing. All in all I would recommend the hotel, we had a lovely relaxing stay here and if were back in the resort would have no hesitation in staying here again.
We've travelled far-and-wide but I must say this hotel is great value for money. Its beach front location, with its own parade of cafes, supermarkets and shops built underneath, is a huge plus point. Only 5 minutes walk from the many restaurants (all excellent but special mention for Gambrinus and the excellent Uruguayan fillet steak) and adjacent to the beautiful boardwalk that passes historical wartime coastal defence structures, the indoor shopping centre and an artwork consisting of a natural seawater pond stocked with fish a plenty in one direction, and along to the harbour past the sea--lion enclosure, the cat cafe and lava rocks where chipmunks roam in the other. It can't be beaten. The rooms are large - suites with separate bed-room, minimal kitchen facilities (but kitchen nontheless) and large balconies. Reception staff friendly (special shout out for Marta) and rooms cleaned daily. Only stayed bed & breakfast because so many other great dining options available. My inability to comment on the food is the only thing stopping me awarding it 5-stars - and I've never awarded any hotel I review 5 stars. Highly recommended
Just stayed for 11nights on b&b , junior suites are really big & recently refurbished with big bedroom, lounge, small kitchen and bathroom. Staff were helpful and very friendly and any issues dealt with quickly. Breakfast was OK usual choice of stuff . Great position on beach front ,short stroll from main centre 5 to 10 minutes which as lots of good restaurants . Will definitely be back next year .
Arrived back last weekend from a week's stay at this hotel. Hotel is perfectly situated - its right on the beach and 5 minutes walk from the centre. Hotel is very spacious and clean, rooms and balcony spacious too. Room shower temperature a bit tempremental but bathroom size really good - double sinks really handy. Restaurant clean and food selection amazing. However, "hot" food on the server wasn't hot which was a shame and the tea/coffee wasn't great either. Hot water in the machines not hot enough to get a decent cup of tea. I would definitely go back to this hotel but would consider bed and breakfast option in future.
Spacious, well appointed, comfortable and clean. A good sized kitchen with 2 burner hob, microwave, fridge freezer and everything else needed for a self catering holiday. The large lounge/diner had a 2 seater couch plus an arm chair and a large TV and air con. The balcony was enormous, reaching across the front of the lounge and the bedroom and included a wall mounted clothes airer for towels etc. The large bedroom had 2 large single beds another TV , dressing table and loads of storage space with a free safe and air con.The bathroom had "his and hers" hand basins. The WC also had a bidet and an annoying phone which kept falling off the bracket if it was so much as breathed on. The range and quality of the food was very good, we were AI so drinks were also included. Apart from the mardi head chef the staff were excellent. Entertainment was almost non existent but there were plenty of bars etc within easy walking distance. Having previously visited all of the other major islands, this one is the best. No touts pushing fake designer products. no one trying to drag you in to the restaurants. Almost always a nice breeze and no mozzies. When I go back to the Canaries this will be where I go.
