We stayed at this holiday near the end of October. I had a junior sole use suite and a travel cot was provided on arrival. The hotel it’s self is spacious and clean. Right on the beach and we had a sea view from our room. The rooms have everything you need and even though we were all inclusive it’s still handy having a kitchen. The staff are all very friendly and nothing is too much for them. I am a vegetarian and struggled to find much at lunch or in the evenings and there was very little my little girl could eat. That’s the only down side as I had to find a shop to buy food for her. I would def stay at this hotel again but on a different board basis. There is wine and lager on tap for all inclusive. We never saw any evening entertainment but that was only down to me putting my little one to bed. It is a short journey from the airport which is a plus.
Read reviews and got a good idea what to expect.booked for 3 weeks from 16 November with breakfast.Dodgy wifi improved to fine after 1 week and is being updated in Feb 18 limited English TV - could disappoint children. Entertainment quite good but finishes abruptly at 10 .45 pm - could do with improved decor and music and the seating not arranged in rows as if for a public meeting . That said for us ,a couple in our 70'sthis hotel was perfect- large room - always hot water- kept spotless--free water-very pleasant staff and a great location on the beach - breakfast offered a good choice- we can't wait to go back and that says it all.
This hotel is just 13km from the airport and is easily accessed via taxi for less than 12€ The reception staff are available 24hrs and are pleasant and informative. We were in room 391 on the far side of the hotel. The suite had a large living area and large bedroom and separate bathroom/ toilet. The bedroom has a flat screen TV and twin beds. There is lots of storage space and a free safe in the room. In the living area there was a large flat screen TV with 2 English channels, and a large bed settee, lamps a small kitchen off of that area with microwave, fridge and 2 ring cooker. The bathroom was large with over bath shower, 2 sinks, separated toilet and hairdryer. There are plenty of power points though none near any of the mirrors, so hair straightening was fun! There is an on-site supermarket, it’s small but has most of what you need at reasonable prices. The breakfast in the restaurant is 8am-10:30am and has all the usual offerings, hot and cold and plenty of drink options. I liked the fact that they provide numerous filtered water machines, so if you have a bottle, fill up whenever you like, it saved a fortune on bottled water each day! Well done to Geranios Hotel for that. There is entertainment each night but we never stayed in the hotel at night as there was so much more to do outside of the hotel. There is a beach cafe and bars just outside the hotel front doors so you don’t have to walk far to find lots of different food and drinks. There are lifts in this hotel. There is A/C in the room. We didn’t visit the spa so can’t give advise or recommendations here I’m afraid. The view from the balcony was lovely, we has a sea/ beach view. Beach is just 90 metres away and has a long pathway where you can walk for miles in both directions. There is a small harbour area which has restaurants and bars, do visit el Faro bar on the harbour, very good prices and a hell of a view! Just 5 mins walk to the back of the hotel is the main bars/ shops/ restaurants and supermarket. Definitely give Piero’s a try, very lively entertainment from 9pm to 11pm and audience participation is encouraged, after that it’s karaoke. There are too many numerous bars and restaurants so I can’t recomend any over another, we visited. All are reasonably priced and of course drink measures don’t exist so drink sensibly! If you walk to the right out of the hotel you’ll find the local mall, Atlántico. It has one level of shops and a Hyperdino supermarket. It’s not a large mall but worth a visit. The bus station is on the main road, about 15 walk away, you can get to anywhere on the island from there. Mostly the buses go to the Puerto Rosario (the capital) bus station where you change to another bus, we went to Corralejo in the north and the whole bus trip was around 1hr 20 mins. All in all a lovely hotel, not a traditional look about it, but very clean with daily bed making and fresh towels and the free filtered water is a money saver. I would definitely book here again for my winter sun!
Hotel was clean staff very pleasant food was ok but only had the breakfast included that was fine. Good location close to everything just a 5 min walk to shops and bars. Did not stay in the hotel for any of the entertainment as ate out every night think i would probably try all inclusive if we stayed again. Pool area was good.
Third visit in 12 months to a great hotel with friendly, helpful staff. Good quality and varied buffet dining facilities, albeit room is a little restaurant rather dining room ambience. Rooms well equipped as they are laid out for self catering i.e. small kitchen and separate lounge within layouts. Limited drawer storage and English TV channels. Entertainment very limited e.g. bingo/karaoke rather than artistes. Walking distance to main town (Caleta de Fuste) along prom with great, sandy beach within 20 yards.
Excellent. Hotel and staff very good good mix of food types. Entertainment poor surounding area great for walks. I would recomend this hotel for couples of all ages. Drinks were plentifull and strong. Will be going back soon
We visited Geranios suites in the last week of November for my partners birthday. First things first , what a fantastic location. 10 mins from the airport, and right on the beach overlooking the bay. Checked in within minutes by the very helpful Marta. The suites are big, clean and tidy. I can see where some people in other reviews have been a bit narked about the food being just warm, and on occasions it was a bit tepid, but there is a microwave available, to heat it up, and the food was always tasty and plenty of choice. The pool is big and never had an issue getting a sunbed. Pool bar serves snacks from 11 and if all inclusive, you can help yourself to the drink. Have to give a special mention to the bar staff in the evening , in the main lobby bar, Albert was always very friendly and never flustered if it got a bit busy. Overall, we would not hesitate to book here again and are looking forward to returning in the very near future.
Just back from a week's stay. Hotel was very good. We had a junior suite on the 1st floor. Room was lovely and very spacious. Shower was very powerful. Rooms cleaned and towels changed on a daily basis. Outlook wasn't great but if you looked to the right you could see the sea! Breakfast was the best meal of the day. The food could be a bit hit and miss sometimes but overall it was ok. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Great location right on the beach and loved the car free promenades for nice long leisurely walks. My only negatives would be the music round the pool bar was way too loud and repetitive and the coffee machines could be better.
Our 1st visit was a few years ago, myself and my husband went and had a lovely suite overlooking the pool. We were so impressed with everything that we went again with some friends the following year. On this occasion we paid for a sea view apartment which was wonderful. Our 3rd visit was with the same friends a few weeks ago & again we booked the sea view rooms. To our delight, we were upgraded to superior sea view suites which were fabulous, we have never had or seen such an enormous balcony! On each visit we have been all inclusive & never been disappointed with the food and drink on offer. The outside of the hotel used to be rocky with beaches a short walk away. This area has now been developed (work has finished now) and it is a beautiful sandy beach with sunbeds, lovely view to wake up to. The hotel itself has had a lot of renovation and it has been transformed into a warmer, classier environment. The staff are superb in reception, bars, restaurant & cleaners, all cheerful & helpful despite working so very hard. The food in the restaurant and at the outside bar were plentiful, delicious and a very wide variety of choice. Sitting by the pool bar watching cocktails & paella being made was great fun. Another plus is that the safety deposit box in the room is free. We didn't think the hotel could get any better, but it has, and we will certainly be returning again. Thank you to all the hard working staff for making our holiday truly wonderful.
The food was excellent - plenty of variety and beautifully cooked. The staff were courteous and friendly BUT: not everybody with rooms near the pool welcome the noise from the music there in the afternoons. Our room was clean but the shower and bath fittings had seen better days.
