Just returned from 10 days at this fantastic hotel. The staff are all so friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Great size balcony and plenty of drawers and cupboards in the room. Great choice of hot and cold food freshly prepared. Will definitely return.
Stayed 3 weeks November. The Hotel is situated in a stunning area with beautiful beaches, which you can walk along on a paved promenade. The Hotel staff from reception to restaurant, bar, pool bar, animation team and room maids are very friendly and hard working to make sure your stay is a pleasant one.The grounds are spacious and there is no rush to get a sun lounger as there is more than enough to accommodate everyone. Slight reservations regarding variety of food in restaurant at lunch and dinner time, what was on offer was fine but quit repetitive Rooms spacious and cleaned to a high standard daily, excellent shower in bathroom and bed was one of the most comfortable i have slept in in any hotel. The big complaint my wife had was the poolside toilet, while it was cleaned first thing in the morning she told me that as the day went on they became almost unusable, she did mention this to reception but unfortunately the situation did not improve. Please take action to rectify this problem.Despite what I said about the variety of food and ladies poolside toilet I would still recommend this hotel and would consider returning for another holiday the pluses outweigh the minuses.
I stayed here in November with my adult daughter on a half board basis. We both thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The food was very good with lots of variety. A nice touch was we were given an ala carte meal on one evening because we were with Jet2 but we actually preferred the main restaurant. There are some bars about 10 minutes walk along the promenade, turning left as you come out of the back gates of the hotel and a good crazy golf course too. To the right, there are some restaurants and shops and another crazy gold course. There are some inflatables for the children outside the shops. There is a lovely beach immediately as you come out of the gates at the back of the hotel. The room we stayed in on level 1 could do with a refurbishment as the bathroom tiles had some mould on them and a lick of paint wouldn't go a miss either. We had problems with the door lock too and had to wait for maintenance to come and fix it 3 times whilst we were there. I agree with one of the other reviews that the toilets around the pool and also the toilets near the restaurant weren't kept clean enough and could do with more attention throughout the day to keep them up to standard. Lovely pools with plenty of sun beds, although one was drained and being fixed whilst we were there but this didn't affect our stay. Great animation team who worked tirelessly to keep us entertained throughout the day and night. I would definitely recommend this hotel to all ages. They were extremely disabled friendly too.
Just got back from here yesterday - what a great hotel. The staff, particularly in the main restaurant were amazing! So kind and interacted with our little boy so much it was lovely to watch. Food was lovely too, and great variety in comparison to some of the AI places we have been to. I presume we had no issues with queues for food and facilities due to the time of year but I think even if we did encounter such issues the staff and atmosphere of the hotel would have balanced it out. Everyone was so lovely and it is right by a shopping centre which came in handy. Will definitely visit again, what an excellent first holiday for our little one. Thank you Elba Carlota!
Lovely hotel. Large rooms. Paid extra for a seaview. It was worth it! Food great.Beautiful large pool area. Plenty of sunbeds. Would definitely recommend to anyone Lovely bars nearby. Public buses in the area were all great.
This really is a hotel worth trying. We were All Inclusive and it's probably the best food we've had in an AI hotel. The staff are amazing, hard working and very friendly. Hotel and rooms are very clean. My one and only gripe was the toilets by the pool bar. They needed cleaning a little more often and a refurb would help! We had a wonderful time and met some fabulous people. We'd be happy to go back tomorrow.......if only!!!
Lovely holiday. Having said that are first room was 376 which was above the service entrance on the right hand side off the hotel, looking out at the side of the shopping centre, it was noisey once they delivered a skip at a quarter pass midnight, the room had plaster bubbling off the walls. The floors not that clean as when I got in the shower after pottering around the room my feet looked very dirty. We were moved on the 4th day to a new room 220, much quieter. The shower screen did not touch the bath so it leaked badly making the floor very slippery, had to fold a hand towel in four and push between screen and bath, make sure to have most of the towel hanging over the inside of the bath and not the outside edge. The bath is not very wide inside so if you are bigger than a ladies size 16 it will be a tight fit, there are also no hand rails to help with the less mobile. There are lots of tiny ants in this room (also 222 which my sister was in), they don’t appear to bite but are a pain as they get into every thing. The gardens are beautifully kept. The entry into the first main pool is slippery, we saw an elderly gentleman slip over. They need to change the surface here. The other pool was out of action for most of our stay, they were putting a handrail in down the main steps as again these were slippery. Food was good they rotate weekly. I did see a bad case of cross contamination when one chef was touching raw liver and then serving cooked salmon without changing her gloves, hygiene procedures need to be tightened. When you first arrive in your room it would be good to have at least a couple of bottles of water in the mini bar and a welcome letter explaining where things are and how it works along with opening times of bars, restaurants, etc. Very plane that lands on the island comes over the hotel but I have to say you soon became used to it, would be a great hotel for plane spotters. It is only 15 minute drive from the airport. Plenty of sun beds, lovely beaches just outside the hotel with lots of fish. Yes the hotel is not perfect but how many are, we had a lovely holiday and a number of the staff are happy, bubbly and very helpful. We would recommend this hotel overall.
Every time we visit Fuerteventura, we stay in 2 hotels...the Elba Carlota and one "new" one. And every time, the Elba Carlota proves itself to be the best. Ok, we have stayed quite a few times and many of the staff are like friends which makes a small difference but it really is one of the best "all round" 4* hotels we have stayed in anywhere in the world. Location is great, on the beach/promenade and near the Shopping Centre with only a 10 minute drive from the airport. Food and drinks quality and selection are generally very good as are rooms which are well-equipped and comfortable. We can see the small incremental improvements being made between visits and that is good.
This hotel is a lot bigger than we usually visit.... but it was great. It is right on the beach, it’s gardens are beautiful, the pool area is spacious and clean ( putting towels on sun beds first thing happens.... shouldn’t be allowed and anyone doing it should have their towels chucked in the pool!). The food was plentiful, but I would have liked some Spanish choice. We celebrated our ruby wedding anniversary during our stay.... the actual reason for our visit and it was a lovely setting for our special day. It was quite surreal seeing Christmas decorations and Santa’s grotto going up in the shopping centre 🤣🙈🎅🏼 All in all a wonderful hotel and well worth a stay.
What a fun week here with my friends for my birthday at the Elba once again can't wait to come back soon 😀 the staff are fantastic and work so hard we also met so many good people. Big up to Martin and Alex and many others of the animation team but can't remember the names lol for getting Ruben to dance with Pepe @ the mini disco😀.
