      We recently stayed here on Feb 15th. While checking in we were informed that there is a $300.00 CASH deposit required. There was nothing on the site stating this very high cash deposit. We were told that a guest had destroyed the room thus the rule. We needed to go to an ATM to get the money. The following morning before leaving we needed, along with all the guests, to wait for the manager to go into our room and inspect it. We did get our money back but this is ridiculous. We have traveled abroad and in the US and have NEVER encountered this. We took pictures of all dings, chips etc of the room so we had documentation of its previous condition. The adjacent road is noisy, the hotel provides ear plugs. Parking is poor with double parking in the lot. This hotel is over an hour away from Yosemite. There are many travelers from all around the world staying here so beware!! This is NOT normal US policy at hotels. I would have given this hotel a better rating but this shocker of the deposit is the decider that we won't return to this hotel for future Fresno State sports event. The staff has to take the brunt of this policy. I would rather have the owner have to take responsibility for this outrageous request of "guests".We wont be back. Please Hotels.com post this cash deposit request or don't support this hotel until this policy is stopped.Had I seen this $300.00 CASH deposit beforehand I would not have booked this place.

      Never again!!

      Worst place I’ve ever tried to stay at. And I work out of town all week every week. So I basically live in hotels. I made my reservation online. And when I get there at 9pm tired and ready to sleep. The front desk tells me I have to give them a $300 CASH deposit. Even tho they have my credit card with thousands on it. In case I damaged the room. I thought that was the point of using a card? I didn’t have the ability to get $300 cash at that time. So I wasn’t allowed to stay. And of course I had to call later to even get my money for the room back too. I will never stay with that chain of hotels again even if I have to sleep in my truck in the snow. Ridiculous.. Idk many people who are traveling out of town and feel comfortable having $300 cash in their pocket.

      I realized that the hotel requires a $300 CASH deposit, upon check in. This was very inconvenient and required me to make an extra visit to the bank, right before they closed for the day. Aside from that, there was not enough parking and people were double parking, parking in handicap parking and putting their cars anywhere they fit. I still don’t understand how and why they allowed this to happen? The checkout was quick and I got all of my deposit but it was not welcoming. Aside from all this, the breakfast was a little sad. Honestly, I never put a bad review but I would not recommend this hotel!
