Beautiful and comfortable, a lot of parking spaces, is within walking distance to main street, quiet street, no noise throughout the house, great deck.
Meeting our hosts and the other guests was wonderful, and our room was extremely clean and comfortable. No complaints whatsoever in the great location.
Due to my brother’s wedding rehearsal, they let my girlfriend check in a little bit early. That was appreciated. Great baked goods available in the afternoon in the dining room. Coffee at 7a. Fantastic breakfast in the morning at 8a. Adirondack chairs out front for reading. Very nice hosts. They found my girlfriend’s phone charger and facilitated it’s return. Only small detraction was the stuffiness of the Taupe room. An AC unit, window, and ceiling fan are available, but the air flow was a bit lacking. That’s common among all older buildings though and it was a warm weekend in Maine. Overall, great experience.

The breakfast was spectacular, the staff friendly, the location ideal, and the inn itself charming. The only very slight negatives were a need for heavier curtains to darken an east facing room, and an almost comically small bathroom that resulted in multiple bumped knees and elbows. Overall the James Place Inn is well worth a stay!
