While we were very thankful to get a room during the storm, the service was absolutely horrible! Actually, no service at all! I realize they had problems also with pipes breaking. We couldn’t find anyone to check us out, called the # left at desk, waited over 40 minutes and no one ever showed up!

Nice hotel for the price. It was on the edge of town which was another plus but not far enough away for a long drive. If price is a factor and you are jut needing a nice clean cheap place to stay then this is your place.

It was a good little hotel, have stayed there before and this new paint job in the hallways is so awful it's depressing and dark. But people are so nice and service was good.

It was very dirty (sheets, bathtub, toilet). It was disgusting run!!!

Friendly staff and i enjoyed the rocking chairs outside

This appears to be an old Howard Johnson’s. Reasonable rates and clean, but the property shows it’s age with thin towels, very worn tubs and lumpy pillows. A bargain.

Close to town. Room had small leak in ceiling....

Needs maintenance, no ice available resrroom can be cleaner

Hotel is in a good location but the elevator was broken, wallpaper peeling in bathroom, paint chipped and flaking off the ceiling. Hair dryer in the bathroom didn't work. No public restrooms in lobby for customers who had just gotten there after a long car trip. Just seems as if the hotel is getting older and needing some upkeep. Breakfast in the morning was good----eggs, waffles, sausage.

We usually stay in a bed and breakfast but we decided to come for one night and needed a hotel. Glad we chose the one we did nice place for a weekend trip. We come to Fredericksburg often and we will chose Hill country again

This is an older hotel that is in need of updating and remodeling, but then the price would go up. The desk staff was very nice. When we got there, they updated us to a suite at no extra charge since they were not busy at the time, so we had a large room that had a kitchen area with a refrigerator and microwave. The bathroom was a standard bath. The room was really huge, which was nice. It had a round table with four chairs, an upholstered chair with an ottoman, and a rocking chair. Our room was clean, but I did notice that other areas of the hotel weren't especially clean, especially the swimming pool. It was too dirty to even consider using, but I doubt that many people go to Fredericksburg to swim anyway. Our main complaint was the bed. Although it was a nice four-posted bed, the mattress was worn out and we both had back aches each morning. The pillows were hard and lumpy, so bring your own pillows. And this is probably an odd complaint, but the bars of soap were ineffective. It didn't lather, and to wash my hands, I had to wash them about three times to feel like the soap was doing anything. I usually bring my own soap for showering anyway, but I use the hotel soap for hand washing. There is a breakfast, but during the week it's only waffles, muffins, biscuits, & cereal. The location was pretty good - just a few blocks from the main tourist area. I guess we would stay there again mainly because of the price of the rooms, which are very reasonable.

Basic room but the bed was comfy and the room was clean. The lobby was very nice and the staff was accommodating. I've machine was broken the second night we were there which was a bummer but other than that no real complaints. Great place to sleep after all the festivities of Fredericksburg.

Quick check-in. Very Friendly staff. Bed was not as comfortable as I'd like but overall our stay was great. We will definitely be staying again. Thank you!

We were very comfortable and grateful for the knowledgeable staff & areas to visit by the motel.

We were assigned a rooms that was unclean - overflowing garbage cans, towels on the floo, undone bed... Wifi was not available in the room. On complaining the front desk promised to "look in the matter"- never called back with a response. Avoid this place..

Thank you so much for your review. As everyone is aware we here in Central Texas endured historic winter weather conditions. The city of Fredericksburg was hit very hard with ICE. We have an outstanding construction crew on site 24/7 making needed repairs to our building. We are looking forward to coming back better and stronger, we continue to keep our doors open, we are the lucky ones, other businesses have suffered incredible flood damage from broken pipes.

Hello Anonymous, during the "lock down" we had 3 months of no customers at all, so we decided to do a quick renovation to the down stairs hallway. We stained the concrete floor and painted the walls blue, the color is a little too dark and we will address this issue when business allows. We would love to have you return in the future, we are working diligently to improve our property, we have already made great strides, we are very proud of our hotel and look forward to the end results.
