positive - Friendly personnel - Parking spaces and public transport close by (30 minutes by tram 12 to the center) negative - room was next to the elevator – noise from the up and down movement of the elevator cabins - far out from the center, but close to some office locations of major companies - regular (cheapest) rooms – wifi not free
Good hotel with small rooms. the staff is very nice. the interior is very good. the location is far from city in a business area. it is good for business or transit stay but not if you want to see Frankfurt. Breakfast was also nice. the only complain was a smell is room like wet carpet on both occasions.
I stayed so many times in this Hotel so it feels a little like coming home. I really like the staff especially the Italians in there....great rooms if you are prefered, very good food in the restaurant - it closes a little too early though and great breakfast. Even when they are fully booked you do not get bad service! It is just 10min ride away from the FRA airport so in my eyes it qualifies as an airport Hotel and so as an option for the Sheraton Airport. It is also very easy to catch a tram (or a Taxi) and get into town in less than 10 minutes
The air conditioners do not work. Whenever we asked if they will be back we were always told "tomorrow". I was relocated to a room with a balcony (Room 1125) so I could open the door and cool the room off. This didn't really help when it was 35C outside. Also - the airplanes flying by (which are pretty close) will wake you up at 5am every morning and the mosquitos will swarm the room if you leave the door/window open too long. The view of the forest was very nice tho. There are a lot of flies at the hotel bar. The cheeseburger for €15 is good. There was also construction on almost every floor I was on. This begins at 8am and can be heard in most areas of the hotel. The hotel is about 2 miles from city center. There is a tram outside and it will take about 20 minutes to get to centrum. There is a good Korean restaurant just outside. The grocery store is a 15 minute walk. This hotel is on the outskirts of the city and not located near many things. The staff seems nice and try to help writhin their means.
The bathroom smelled terrible There was no hot water The air conditioning didn't work There were flies throughout the bar, restaurant and conference rooms This was raised with the staff when I checked out, they said they knew. All in all, appalling.
We stayed there because our Lufthansa flight was cancelled. It is in the middle of nowhere, between the airport and the city. Standard Sheraton rooms. The only reason to stay there is if your convention is being held there.
We checked in after flying all night - tired and hot. We turned on the air conditioning in the very warm room only to find there was none. My husband phoned down to,the front desk and she offered him a fan. No we did not want a fan, we haven't slept in 24 hours and we are hot and tired. The gal from the front desk came up and showed us another room and this time the air conditioned worked barely if you cranked it up completely. It was fine so we stayed. The rooms are dated but the bathrooms are nice. The beds are comfortable if you are lying on the. But when sitting you feel like you are going to fall off of them. The pool is big but clearly needs work since part of the tiles are up and a warning sign there. There is just an awful fake rock wall that us breaking apart on one side of the pool. There were no towels there and my husband had to get some from the front desk which was a bother. The pool itself was large and refreshing but not a spa area I would want to spend the day in. We ate dinner in the Stube restaurant. The food wasn't cheap but it was good and the one waiter was friendly.
Good business hotel. A bit out the city but not too far. Good breakfast. Nothing fancy but would stay here again when I come to Frankfurt. Could improve the speed of the front desk though, otherwise OK.
Fine for an overnight stay. The rooms are basic. Some restaurants just a stone's throw away. The hotel was evacuated due to a WW2 bomb diffusion - unfortunately the hotel didn't provide us any alternative arrangement but did inform us beforehand so we could prepare. Check in was fast as was check out.
Booked the hotel because of it being on of the closer ones to the stadium where we attended the Coldplay concert. Smooth and friendly check-in, nice lobby bar with good food. 25 minutes walk to the stadium. After the concert we heard some messages being called out on the loudspeakers several times which we interpreted was that the road to the hotel was closed. As we came by foot we did not really take notice of that. However, when we arrive at the hotel it turns out that the hotel, the whole area in fact, was evacuated due to that someone found an old undetonated bomb from WWII, which I understand can still happen every now and then. Well, we were informed by other guests who spoke to someone that we could go to the Sheraton at the airport for a room there. Long story short, we did - spent the night there and came back the morning after when the hotel was opened again. When unexpected things like this happens you are very glad that you book with one of the major hotels that seems to have good knowledge of back-up plans! The staff was very friendly when we got back the morning after and apologized for the change of plans. I am sure the whole situation was just as stressful for them but I must say that to me they took care of the situation in a very professional way. Just as you expect a big hotel chain to do. Bravo!
