I stayed during March 2020 coronavirus time period and the hotel staff was so very kind. You see I had left for Ireland for one day but could not return to Germany due to the restrictions placed overnight. So my main luggage was still at the hotel and I paid to get a label to send it back to the United States. Youness was so kind to help me and get my luggage out of my room and put the customs documents and shipping label on it that I had purchased and emailed to him. The motel room was clean and the breakfast was excellent. This hotel is an excellent value for the money and the staff are extremely trustworthy.
The hotel was nice. The property was clean, but it could have used updating. The beds were comfortable. My room was quiet. Minimal amenities. Great location, but it's a slightly rough area. Perfect for a single or double that doesn't require a lot of amenities. Great breakfast buffet.

I should have gone to another hotel! But since this was very near the train station, I chose this over other less expensive, but higher - rated properties trusting that the 3-star rating of this hotel was warranted. That was a huge mistake! Be warned - The Hotel Centro National is nothing more than a motel! The showers are filthy with mold and scum, The pillow inside the pillow case is so brown with filth, it clearly had not been washed in years! The matress and chairs in the room are in the same horrible and deplorable condition. The television is an old crt type, and even the wifi needs help - it does not work anywhere on the property. If you think this hotel will provide you with a clean shower and a good nights sleep, 'rest assured' [pun intended] the filthy conditions of this hotel will provide you with neither. Clearly, this hotel needs to reinvest the proceeds from this property, back on this property. Forget upgrades, this property is in an urgent and emergent need of major maintenance, or should be shut down as a health and safety violations and hazard!
Toilet not cleaned and with yellow stains, mold in shower, dirty refrigerator and carpet, hairs and dust in sink. Beds were made, but otherwise the room did not look as if it was cleaned. After complaining I got another room, which was larger and generally cleaner than the first room. It also had less mold. However, carpet, curtains and TV manual were very dirty (carped got vacuum cleaned when I pointed it out, but hairs and dirt remained sticking on it). The room was also very smelly (maybe walls are damp). Breakfast was good.
Great location, nice breakfast, no noise from the street, 1 min walking to subway. Hotel has spacious room with high ceilings.

I stayed in this hotel for about 8 hours between my flights it was OK. However, this hotel is not a good place to stay for any other purpose.

Area was in the crowded down town area which is what I wanted but there was a lot of homeless people around. The train station was nice to have across the street. The hotel was very warm, no AC.
You can't beat this hotel: very affordable, across the street from the main strain station, great breakfast, beautiful and large room, high ceilings. I've seen many negative reviews of this place and don't understand why, I was expecting something awful and instead stumbled upon a palace.

I had to check in late but that was ok as I could use the wifi to make a quick afternoon plan to the Christmas Markt. The hotel is older but clean and nice staff in the evenings. The room amenities all worked well and it was nice and quiet. The breakfast room was very nice and the selections appropriate for quick or relaxed dining. The coffee pot was already filled and on my table when I came back from the breakfast buffet. Its very close to the Hauptbahnhoff and easy to find. I could not beat the price for what I got.
