Not a massive hotel but in a good location. Check in was a fairly slow affair & it took approx. 20 minutes from when I entered the hotel until I was in the lift up to my room & there was nobody else checking in at the time. My room was small & very basic, facing on to the busy street outside & even with the windows closed I was still aware of traffic noise. Also, there was not a lot of natural light getting in to the room & I certainly couldn’t call it bright. Other than that, things were fine if not expecting 4 or 5 star luxury & facilities. Clean, simple décor, laminate flooring, two single beds, large wardrobe, tv, dresser, luggage rack. Wifi was ok, free, accessed by password given on a ticket at reception. It did drop a few times when I hadn’t accessed it for a while but there was no problem in getting reconnected. There was a minibar in the room with pils costing 2.90 Euros, 500mls of kellerbier 3.20, 500mls of still water 2.40, 250mls of sparkling water 2.40, cola 2.40, Schweppes 2.60, chocolate bars 2.70. No tea or coffee making facilities in the room. My room was non smoking but I was surprised that there was no visible smoke alarm in the room. No iron in the room but there was a room for ironing located close to the sauna. The bathroom was small & a little bit too warm (radiator heated) with a small shower cubicle, rain head shower on hose with good pressure & plenty of hot water, liquid soap, shower gel, hairdryer, plenty of towels, ceiling vent/fan, no shaving socket. An awful lot of steam built up in there after a hot shower. I didn’t take the option of paying extra for breakfast, instead having breakfast in Furth’s old town on both mornings of my stay. The hotel bar was located right next to the reception desk & had some nice beers at reasonable prices but it just never seemed to be used. I didn’t use the hotel’s sauna but it did seem to be quite popular & well used. The hotel car park is located next to the hotel, I didn’t use it & so, cannot say if there was a charge for it. My train to the airport was at 15.45 & I left my luggage in the hotel after checking out. The hotel provided this service for free but the luggage was stored in a corner of the restaurant & the lady that checked me out was quite insistent that I could only leave my luggage until 15.00. There are a number of bars, cafes, fast food outlets & restaurants in the vicinity of the hotel. From the train station, with wheeled luggage, it took me just under 20 minutes to walk to the hotel. From the Christmas market, 15 minutes walk & to Kofferfabrik music venue, around 10 minutes walk. Don’t get me wrong about this hotel, for a weekend stay in Furth it is fine but it just lacks too many of the basic services that I like & expect on a weekend away.
Been there twice till now. Near hotel entrance is a small parking place for guests. Rooms are small but clean. Breakfast is tasty with various options. Overall impression is good, also if we consider ratio between what you get and how much you need to pay for.
Hotel is located in city Furth just next to the Nuremberg (6km out from city center) nice clean rooms and good breakfast to enjoy also parking is available but at 11 eur a day price. Near the hotel are plenty of restaurants where to choose your own.
The hotel is located between two major one-way streets. Even with the windows closed the noise from the traffic was quite loud. The staff was helpful, and the breakfast spread was decent but unfortunately a restful night it was not!
Free parking and free wifi. We had a suite for the 3 of us which was a great size. Near the U bahn so eady to get around. Good breakfast.. A couple of restaurants nearby we ate st the Italian. Also noticed a Mexican restaurant. The food at hotel was also good.
Oh, we all seen it all on our trips with 'the old man," who loves nothing better than to score a bargain except watching our faces drop when seeing the latest accommodation he's booked. This Choice hotel in Feurth, Bavaria, was an interesting spot-a few miles outside of Nuremberg in a mixed residential/business district. It's a small hotel, too dark and gloomy for our tastes, and the rooms were in need of a major update. Because the old man booked us in a double room, and I drew the short straw, I had the pleasure of sleeping between my two middle ages sisters, both of whom had taken an Ambien, which starting working within minutes of us pushing together the two twin beds. It was like sleeping between two freight trains-the snoring, the lifting of legs over mine, kept me awake for most of the night, and since the beds parted midway through the long evening, my butt was hoovering just a few inches from the floor. I had thought about getting up and sleeping on the floor, but it was not carpeted, so I had no choice. I spent most of the night recording their snoring on my iphone which kept me amused till dawn. Breakfast was good, and all like typical German places, there was plenty to choose from-cheeses, fruits, breads, meats, eggs, yoghurt, juice, coffee and tea. The foyer was cute, and I couldn't help but imagining that a complete makeover could transform this tired old gal into something quite nice. If you don't mind old and dated décor, a tiny bathroom, and being a bit of a drive from Nuremberg, and like a bargain, I think you'd be happy here- but for us, it was just too dark. The best part of this stay? It was the last time the old man got us double accommodations-meaning we each had our own bed!
Location Good location close to downtown Fuerth and 3 minutes walk to Stadt Park which is a gem! Dont miss this. A 10 minute walk will get you to the Bahnhof. Parking Have Parking area off the street just 50 meters from the hotel. Quite convenient. Check-in process Simple and quick. Booking was in order. The hotel was more than half empty. They still managed to give us a room that faces the street with traffic noise. Complete lack of guest focus. Didnt even ask if we would like a quiet room despite me designating this on the booking request. Pathetic. Breakfast Very nice spread. Friendly staff, nice atmosphere. Overall, good marks for breakfast. Room Clean and was facing the street. If you have the window open, you hear the traffic noise. If you have it closed it can get too warm. Take your pick. I generally travel with ear plugs. I kept the window open and used my ear plugs to go to sleep. It is a room where you have to rearrange furniture to find an electrical outlet to plug in your computer or phone. Sorry, complete lack of guest focus. Bathroom I have been in several airplanes that have larger bathrooms! While everything worked fine in the bathroom, it is rather a challenge to do your business in there. WiFi internet User ID and password provided worked the first time. Internet worked well throughout. My wife and I had separate computers. Apart from having to re-enter your username and pwd each time after your computer goes to sleep, the speed of the internet rocked! Overall Cheap hotel. I am not just talking about the rate. Apart from the location and breakfast everything else was sub par.
Don't believe the internet blurb / photos for this hotel. It characterises itself as a 4* but is barely 3*....The only near decent rooms are the suites otherwise with brand new hotels like NH Fuerth less than 5 minutes away the Quality Hotel is doomed. The bathrooms are so small that of 4 rooms our group were given only one young 21 year old traveller could fit comfortably in the ancient shower cubicles. The state of the hotel is grotty, no English tv, no room service, opposite a Thai Massage parlor. in a dead zone. We didn't even unpack ....and were still totally depressed by the experience. We asked to upgrade and were told there were no more suites, until we decided to leave and then suddenly were offered to empty suites ... by then however it was too late. A hotel which refuses to show me a better available room when I offer to pay for an upgrade doesn't understand what business they're in
We stayed 2 nights in Furth since we were trying to stay out of the downtown area of Nuremberg. The hotel is near the UBahn line so it is easy to navigate. Our room was spotless and looked like it had been recently re-decorated. Only drawback was the chair at the desk was the most uncomfortable one I think I have tried to sit in for a long time--otherwise the room was fine. Breakfast was included and it was a substantial continental breakfast (even some scrambled eggs). The free parking is also a nice touch since we have paid to park at other hotels in Germany.
Cause reading all earlier reviews I was little worried about the only reasonable priced hotel was available during big fair in Nürnberg. The room (110 first floor, windows to inner court) was outward clean cause it was repaired: laminate floor, quite new (but cheap) bed, bathroom was new and clean as well. The renovation have been done with so low cost as possible but it is done eventhough. So outward it was clean but don't want to know what was behind the wallpaper or tiles... The bathroom was really small and using toilet was little bit difficult because there was no room for keeping for example hands next to you. The hotel was quite middle of nowhere but metro station Jakobs..something was just round the corner. Just go up to opposite direction as the train goes to the Nürnberg Hbth/"Messe" and you can walk directly throught the park and small lane and then the hotel is quite near on the left side. Breakfast was ok, good but not any special. Stuff was very friendly and helpfull.
