Hotel Agneshof Nürnberg

A neat little hotel, very well located for walking tour of Nuremberg. Only drawback is parking. Garage is hard to find among one way medieval streets. Lots of good bakeries in the area for breakfast, restaurants and the sights of Nuremberg close by.

We stayed 2 nights at the Agneshof Hotel in the very centre of of the old city of Nuremberg. Extremely comfortable room with spacious bathroom, and offering a breakfast of great variety and modestly priced. This is an excellent hotel with very friendly helpful service. We recommend it most highly.

The hotel is brilliantly located in the old town which is by far the quaintist but there are some great designer shops in the modern area. The vibe in Nuremburg is great, friendly and chilled and a great find. It only took us 30 mins to get to the airport at the end of the holiday, a 15 min walk and then the metro takes you straight into the airport. The check in at the hotel was smooth and easy. There is a lovely little lobby area and a bar and some outside seats at the back. Our room was quite small but he bed was huge, the pillows were a bit soft. The bathroom was small but a good shower. We didn't get a view and during the early evening there was some noise but not late and i had no trouble sleeping. The cleanliness was excellent. The staff are really friendly and super helpful. We asked for some ice one night for wine so they gave us a ice bucket with ice. There are some lovely restaurants as well around the hotel. A top class stay and will be back.

This small hotel is situated in a small narrow alley. All the noise around is doubled. There is a narrow arcade in front of the hotel. From late afternoon till after midnight African guests (or refugees?) made so much noise there it was impossible to open the windows at 85 degrees. Despite the closed windows no sleep!! The staff did not care at all! Never again!

We checked in on Sunday, 4th June for one night. The owner is extremely friendly - and has a very friendly dog - who was helpful about the local area and places to eat. The hotel itself has a restaurant - we skipped dinner and headed down the road to a local Italian - but breakfast was lovely. Usual cereals, fruit, cold meats, cheese, etc., but also eggs of your choice and a good choice of fresh breads. Would definitely recommend.

First impression: not good, no offer to help with bags after being told my car was too big to fit in the hotel garage. Nearest public car park is 5 minutes away on foot. Room: simply decorated but stains on the carpet and marks/stains on the wall and furniture. Bathroom clean but no fixed shower, just an extension to mixer tap for bath. Not easy to control temperature which fluctuated. Towels small and thin. When I asked at reception to be moved, allowing the staff to address our concerns, we were offered a twin (ie two single beds) room down a corridor which smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. This is not acceptable. Note: this appears to be a hotel that permits smoking in rooms. This is way below what I would have expected and well below what I have experienced in other hotels in the same class/price category in Germany this summer. Other than its central location, I cannot think of a reason to stay here. Will definitely not come back and cannot recommend.

Basic accommodation for one night. This hotel is in a good location inside the old town, a few minutes walk to the main square. The room was quite small with a desk and a safe. The decor very 70's. Breakfast was good value for an extra 7 euros, with hot and cold food and a good choice available.

Perfect location. Clean rooms and good beds. WiFi worked good. We did not have breakfast so no comments. Unfortunately we did not use the spa but it looked great. We stayed there for two nights. First night the window was opened and I woke up quite early because of noises outside the main entrance. Second night we closed the window and no noises were heard. I would say four out of five but there were a few things I would like to mention. I had reserved a parking at the hotel but was told upon arrival that there were no parking for me. The guy at the reception explained where I could Park. No problems for me but I had to use 15 extra minutes to find the parking. The staff at the reception could have been a bit more engaging. Apart from this the hotel is fine. Wish it was a small fridge there.

Maybe I expected too much from this lovely looking hotel in the very heart of the Old town. I felt a little bit tricked because my room didn´t look as picturesque as on the web pages, neither had the view of the castle or the garden. I paid 1000 crowns more to get the garden view and all I could see were the windows of neighbouring houses and maybe a little slit of a garden deep down. What was worst - suffocating heat in the room and no air-condition.... The bed was queen size and very comfortable but we couldn´t sleep. The room was too small (cca 8m2) for a (so called) comfort double room. Also the parking was very inconvenient and with a bigger car - really tricky. The hotel staff was kind of cold and too formal. Breakfast buffet was o.k., even though there was no fresh fruit and the staff didn´t really care if we had coffeee or not. With more people in the dining room the service was more lively. I liked the jacuzzi and the spa very much, and also liked the teeny-weeny garden. Also the bathroom was quite nice and comfortable. I guess you pay for the location which is beautiful, indeed.

The hotel room was better than I expected from the pictures. Both my boyfriend and I enjoyed our stay and especially liked the jacuzzi and sauna area. Luckily we were the only ones there so it was secluded for us. If more people were there, it may have been a bit cramped. The staff didn't mention this however, but I'd seen it on the description prior to this and found it by exploring when I got there. As we didn't have breakfast there, I can't comment, but there's plenty of places to eat and drink only a short walk away. The bar was a little overpriced for some things, my boyfriend got a Jack Daniels and coke and it came to about 9 euros. The small garden was nice to sit out with a drink and we saw plenty of little mice darting about later in the evening (outside, not in!) Overall, I was pleased with my stay. It was exactly what we needed, in a brilliant location and very clean!
