This hotel could be a great experience for those staying a few days. However, I had the chance to stay a whopping 9 nights at this hotel as my partner was attending a conference in the area. So, while he was out for the day, I was hanging around observing the inner workings of this hotel. Here is what I can tell you: The hotel's greatest attribute is its staff. All staff members greet guests wherever they meet and reception is quite friendly, speak English well, and are helpful and accommodating, as is the concierge. The bus stop located directly in front of the hotel is also a great convenience. There is a large parking lot for those coming independently. The rooms vary from outdated with bathroom tiles that can make your head spin to more updated, refurbished rooms. All rooms, unfortunately, feature thin walls making this hotel quite noisy at times. Asking for a room street side and away from the pool may be better. Breakfast is plentiful and served in the dining room with the typical offering of cakes, breads, fruit, yogurt, eggs, coffee, tea, and juice. The dining room itself is casual and features large viewing windows overlooking the pool deck. Dinner buffet is also served here, with drinks a la carte. One can also drop by during the day and order something off the a la carte menu. This menu is the same as the room service menu and the upstairs restaurant. The upstairs restaurant features a bar, pool table, and an updated design scheme that attempts chic. Again, menu is the same. Servers here are friendly and kind. Again, service is this hotel's best feature. FOOD is definitely NOT. Three days into our stay, I got severe food poisoning. I only ate meals at the hotel in these first three days. My partner ate everything I did and he felt fine. In fact, he ate everything I did plus a larger variety of food so I guess he has a stronger stomach than I. After that, I only ate bananas and toast and chose to eat elsewhere after a few days when I was finally able to keep things down. Aside from food, housekeeping, unfortunately, is also a miss. While the room was clean upon arrival, I was extremely disappointed with the upkeep of our room throughout our stay. First, the housekeepers are incredibly slow because most of the time, they can be found chitchatting in the hallways with other housekeepers or flirting with kitchen boys, which is cute but also annoying when one is waiting for their room to be cleaned. The rags with which they cleaned the floors made the room stink and they changed our sheets ONCE during our 9-night stay. Yes, the maid made the bed but did not change the sheets, even when they were dirty. I also had to ask three times for an extra pillow. One other odd thing is that the number of towels replenished in the bathroom was always different. Sometimes we were given two towels, sometimes 5, etc. Hotel would benefit greatly from an improvement in this department. Outside, the hotel is beautifully maintained. The lawns, trees, flowers, and bushes are meticulously kept up and the pool deck and terraces are swept religiously. This creates a lovely environment in which to sit, relax, and enjoy a drink from the outside bar. We sat out every evening and many families sat in the afternoons while their kids swam in the pool or played water volleyball. This is a great hotel feature. Additionally, the hotel offers a walking ecotrail that is very beautiful. I enjoyed walking on this trail, about .33 miles, and saw many birds and different types of plants each time I walked on it. This is a fun thing that the hotel offers. Oh! The hotel also has an aviary with chickens and some larger birds. If you get up early in the morning, you can see the birds patrolling the lawns freely before they are put back into their home. Not sure if the roosters disturbed people with pool facing rooms in the mornings. Tennis and miniature golf are also available to guests who can check out rackets and clubs from the kids club on the first floor. However, only three golf clubs are available so parties larger than three will have to practice the art of sharing. The miniature golf was okay, but the course was made of ridiculously uneven cement so the balls rolled into the same spots making certain holes very frustrating. We did not play tennis. The kids club seemed okay, always staffed with a kind, smiling employee and featuring different activities such as ping-pong, pool, cartoons, etc. We enjoyed a rousing game of ping-pong and later a game of pool. Before and after the days of my great food poisoning, I used the workout room daily. It is very small and locked during the day. One needs to get the key from reception and return it when finished. The workout room features one treadmill, one spin bike, one yoga mat, two medicine balls, and a mirrored wall. There were no free weights. There were no towels and no disinfectant spray. "Business Center" consists of two computers awkwardly tacked onto the upstairs restaurant. I did not use them. Wi-Fi strength varied throughout the day but was best outside by the pool, next to the restaurant. Overall, I can say this is a good place for families because one can relax and let the kids go free without worrying. There is something for everyone, the large breakfast buffet makes it easy, and the price is unbeatable. It definitely is a good value. To hotel management: I spent 9 days at this hotel, several days sitting in common areas because I was sick and waiting for my room to be cleaned. In this time, I was able to observe your hotel and staff and would like to offer you this suggestion. Tighten up your management. In the nine days I was there, I never once saw a manager. Never did I see senior staff give direction to the general staff. While staff was friendly, I saw so many missed opportunities to improve the hotel. For example, having 4 or 5 maintenance workers milling about trimming flower bushes all day while the outside of the hotel is filthy and in desperate need of a wash, as with the windows in the dining area, seems to be a waste of manpower and a missed chance to greatly improve the image of the hotel. Incentivizing housekeeping to do a more thorough, timely job rather than chatting for hours on end in the hallways would also be good. And please, run some disinfectant over the exercise room equipment once in a while - that stuff was stinky! Wait staff was friendly but seldom offered a la carte drinks, never by the pool, or suggested add-ons which could better meet the needs of guests and provide added revenue for the hotel. Finally, you seriously need to up the quality of the restaurant. Breakfast was good but everything else, the things we actually paid EXTRA for, were TERRIBLE. This is a serious problem. It is problematic because while the outside pool and recreation areas are so enjoyable, guests feel compelled to leave because they aren’t being offered quality food and drink. Fix this and you have a whole new income stream!!!! This hotel was probably quite lovely at one time but the building and interior design scheme have since become outdated and are now in desperate need of attention. Allocating labor hours to this would be a good idea. Providing additionally training to housekeeping is also a good idea. FIX THE FOOD. Give major kudos to the reception, landscaping, and maintenance teams. Good luck to you.
Although the hotel provides potentially good facilities for enterntainment, they need an update. The service is really good and the staff is really helpful and very proactive. While I stayed there, they assisted me with doubts regarding location, places to visit and bus services. The location can be problematic, if you rely on buses for transportation, as I did; but if you rent a car or hire one of the transportation services offered by the travel agency, you will be close to the airport and Brazilian Cataratas Park.
Stayed for 3 nights at The Panorama, and had an amazing experience. The staff was in general very helpful, and the facilities are great. Enjoying the sunset by the pool is a must! Would definitely would come back...
We took our daughter and her family there from Northern Brazil as the Falls were on my bucket list while they are living in Brazil! The rooms were comfortable, we had view of the waterpark. The shower was large but very slow water flow! The breakfast was a generous selection. The night buffet was ok, the restaurant upstairs was ok, but not great. I will just say they were convenient with small children! The waterpark was a big hit with the grandchildren and the lazy river relaxing! Had free pick up at airport but unless you book a tour you need to get a taxi back to the airport! Bus stop right in front of hotel going to the Falls but coming back you need to cross a busy highway. Overall we had a great stay and would choose to stay there again if we have kids with us because of the waterpark! We really enjoyed the bird park also!
Just spent 3 nights at this hotel, and would be happy to come back. It is a basic hotel, and a bit tired in terms of decor, but the staff are great and the rooms are clean. The pool area is more than adequate for relaxing after a hard day's walking at the falls, and the bar area is great for an evening drink and a game of pool. It was popular with families, and the attached Aquamania waterpark looked like fun, but as a couple celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary, we didn't try it, so can't comment! The buffet food (we had both breakfast and evening meal) was good, but there is an a la carte menu available in the bar if you want something a bit more sophisticated. There is 24hr reception, but most of the staff do not speak English, so if (like us) you are not able to speak Portuguese or Spanish, some articulate gesticulation might be required to get your message across! That said, the staff are very accommodating and will try their best to help you. The big plus about this hotel is the location - 15 minutes from the airport, and about the same to the Brazilian side of the Igazu falls. We came solely to see the falls and the hotel was able to organise trips to both the Brazilian and Argentinian sides for us during our stay. I would say if you want a cost effective convenient hotel as a base for visiting the Igazu Falls, this really fits the bill.
Near to the Airport, the best of the hotel are the playgrounds and pool area. Rooms still needs renovation, but they worth the price. Best rooms are located at lobby level (rooms starts with 2xx) while the pool area are really noise and older. We left the car to take a flight, and at our return there was our free AEP-HTL transfer waiting for us. I will recommend this hotel for a short stay 2-3 nights, and if you have kids who will take the most of it. Breakfast was very good, as I would expect in a Brazilian Hotel. Parking should have some sun/storm protection.
Hotel Panorama & Acquamania Resort. Av. das Catarastas has very nice comfortable accommodations for families at reasonable prices. Nicely landscaped grounds with an attractive pool area. Excellent, very impressive fresh breakfast buffet. Helpful staff. Close to the falls, close to bridge to Argentina and central Foz de Iguacu. Would stay again.
Helpful staff, they are nice and kind. Really close to the airport and parks. Rooms are big and comfortable. Good enough for families to rest after parks visits. Maybe not a good option for those who want to hang out at night or need to be close to city atractions because of the distance.
The hotel is located close to the AIRPORT and Foz do Iguacu, we traveled by bus even went to The Argentinian side. There is not much around this hotel and others as well. The guy at the reception was helpful and spoke good English. The room is big, the hotel is old but for the price it was good enough. The breakfast was good, we were able to eat our last breakfast at 5:30am when it opens at 6am, they were nice to offer us. Every time you get to the dinning area, you are greeted by lady who is dressed up as a captain the next day another custom.
We reached this hotel very late night and the guy at the reception helped us immediately with the room. The room was cold and very very basic. The breakfast spread was good. Its quite near the falls and the airport. We had a nice stay and value for money.
