This place is really amazing. The breakfast was open till 10:30. The beds were huge and the rooms were nice and clean. They also had a very friendly and helpful staff that gave us a late check out of 1pm which was amazing!
The comfort Suites in Fort Wayne is a wonderful stay just outside of the city. The hotel staff was super friendly and helpful even at 2am. They have a great hot breakfast that last until 10am and other snacks you from the front desk. The rooms were huge with a great fully stocked bathroom, nice walk in shower with lots of towels. Wifi was super fast and lots of channels on the tv. 5 stars would stay again
The Comfort Suites in Fort Wayne was one of the most conveniently located and friendly hotels we've stayed in. The staff was phenomenal and accommodating during our stay! We were stationed right next to Starbucks and multiple eats! Huge non-smoking rooms with insanely soft queen beds, a fridge, microwave, and anything else you could possibly need! After a wonderful night of rest, we woke up to a breakfast that included fresh made eggs, sausage and waffles! I can tell you we'll definitely be back next time we are in Fort Wayne. Thanks for a great stay!
We had over twenty people that came to town for a family baptism. With multiple rooms, adults and children. On our first night, one of our two rooms air conditioning didn't work correctly. We left for the day and more family checked into the hotel. When we returned, the hotel had no hot water. When numerous people had contacted the front desk, the so called manager, who was pretty young, just nervously laughed at the situation and said that the appropriate people had been contacted. They had known that they had no hot water since 6:00pm, now it was 10:00pm. They had not contacted a plumber. Their "chief engineer" had to go to the airport to pick up a flight attendant (Who I'm sure when they arrived to have no hot water, wasn't go to be happy either.) The television in one of rooms didn't work. The toilet in the other didn't flush. Another family member who had to wait to get into their room, because it wasn't clean yet, pulled back the bed and had dirty sheets. This is by far one of the worse hotels I've been at. Why would the "general manager" not be made aware and do something about an entire hotel without hot water. I told people as they were attempting to come in, I wouldn't stay here if you don't already have a room. With no real answer on a solution to the situation- I wouldn't risk it. If I were looking for a place to stay if you were on the area, there are Hilton's and a Marriott Residence inn close by and around the same price point. I'm sure they would have had a plan to accommodate their guests and have a better way of dealing with it. I would definitely not recommend this place to anyone.
Excellent staff, room very clean and Front Desk staff very friendly. Had a issue in room and maintenance came to our rescue. Great place to stay! I will definitely be back to this location. Will recommend to all my friends and colleagues.
This property has so many positives: Fantastic location, solid breakfast, comfortable beds and a nice sleep, good wifi, a nicely-stocked shop, and even the WSJ as one of the newspaper choices. The negatives are small. But, when you gather them together, you notice that it fills up a bucket. You suddenly realize that this is not one of the better Comfort Suites properties. Negatives (all small individually): Aging rooms (can definitely tell in the bathrooms), bathroom door out of alignment and required quite an effort to close it, room door squeaked very loud and long, toilet would only flush properly if handle was held down for at least 10 seconds, TV has only 38 channels (!!!), we were not given the wifi security code at check-in and had to call for it, refrigerator was being defrosted and no one ever came back to remove the towels and turn it back on. The manager did graciously knock 20% off of the bill, but this is no Courtyard or Hampton. If you want to spend this kind of money, go with Springhill or another good suite brand in the area. Despite the bells and whistles, the service and infrastructure are lacking here.
This hotel is one of the best hotels in this price range anywhere in the country! Truly mean that! Clean room, lobby, pool, restaurant area, and even the parking lot. Also felt very safe here in a decent area just off the interstate. The staff even called us to be sure everything was okay and if we needed anything. Who does that anymore? The breakfast was excellent for a quick hotel meal and they gave us a heads up on a 10% discount at the wonderful restaurant next door. We were even staying there basically free using Choice Points we've accumulated. We will call this hotel first if we're ever spending the night in Fort Wayne, IN again.
But the beds are really soft. They are tough to sleep on. In addition, there is only a choice of king beds or doubles. We haven't slept in a double together in forever, coupled with a soft mattress and sleep isn't good. The king wasn't an option since we were traveling with our teenaged son. On the plus side, everyone is super polite and friendly. Also, the shower is great; it's really high up so for the first time really tall people will be able to shower without having to crouch. It's also a walk in shower which is rather nice. Unfortunately, the mattress situation will probably make this our last visit.
I stayed at the Comfort Suites Southwest in Fort Wayne last week and I couldn't be more pleased. When I arrived, my King sized room was not ready, so instead of making we sit in the lobby and wait, I was immediately upgraded to a suite. The bed was a little smaller (Queen) but it didn't matter, mostly because I was traveling alone, but also for the benefits! The room I was given was one of six that had glass doors that opened up onto a spectacular sunning patio. Lounge chairs, tables and an amazing view of both the city and the patio below. The tub was a huge sunken tub with whirlpool jets, another unexpected perk. Most importantly to me, the suites are in this side section away from the main stretch that was whisper quiet. Slept like a baby, which is rare for me since I am a really light sleeper. Plus, it was just around the corner from the highway, with easy access to anywhere I needed to go. I was in a hurry when I was leaving so I didn't get to enjoy their complimentary breakfast, but word must have gotten out because it was packed. I did get to grab a USA Today on my way out though, which is one of those perks that a lot of hotels have started to do without. I couldn't be more pleased. Thanks!
Being a Choice Member, I have stayed at quite of a few of their locations. The Comfort Suites was very impressive. Even the lobby was a little more grandeur than I have seen elsewhere. The staff was friendly and helpful. It was not only the staff at the front desk, but everyone I encountered. When passing a couple of men in the lobby that looked like they could have been part of maintenance, they smiled and said good morning to me. The room was clean and very spacious! I did like the shower in the bathroom instead of a tub - easier and convenient.
