Very nice and clean! The staff are very friendly and the hotel is on the bay. It's a piece of paradise where you and your family will want to return many times. The pool is nice and clean. It's located by many places to eat and shop. It's amazing.

The reviews submitted by other customers were true. The grounds are nasty, the grass needs to be cut. The overall hotel needs better maintenance. The only good thing is the view behind the hotel. The pictures are deceiving. Breakfast area is very small, it was so crowded we had to go to IHOP for breakfast. No where to sit. The halls smell of urine. Our room was one of the more updated ones but several of the rooms are still in need of repair. It's a lawsuit waiting to happen. You don't know if you are going to step in a snake or what the bushes need to be trimmed and cleaned out. The only reason we did stay is because we could not get out money back.😕

The hotel was clean, and in a good location. It has a small nice beach and boat dock for the guests. Breakfast was a simple buffet, nothing fancy. The only downside was the room next to ours on the last night had rude obnoxious people in it who couldn't or wouldn't keep their kids under control half the night.

i felt like a queen.great service. Very attentive would definitely go back again. The bay view rooms are breathtaking. I did not like I had to call front desk several time for wifi password but overall I would give it 4/5.

Weather was great during my visit and staying at Roya was the best choice because they are the only hotel ON THE WATER with private beach. I really enjoyed my view. Probably the best location for the budget

We were in town tying up some loose ends due to a recent move to another area. Reading the reviews, (I realize from having worked in the industry that disgruntled employees who need to be let go will attack in a public forum.) I took all things into consideration and decided to book a room. Was I ever glad I did! I've paid much more in Destin and not had anywhere near as nice accommodations. The front desk crew went above and beyond to help make a stressful time smoother~Guy, Becky and Cathy (? I apologize if I got your name wrong!) The very nice lady that ran the breakfast bar and kept all of us fed and did it with a beautiful smile~thank you! To housekeeping~it was wonderful to check into a room and not find anything wrong (I do a room inspection when I walk in-including all linens) keep up the good work! This business you're in, you do many little things for people and so few notice...I want to acknowledge your hard work and kindness. I appreciate it.

Took us a while to find this after going to the wrong hotel as they have changed their name. The beach has red ants so don't take your shoes off, but the dock there is nice. A local park to have a picnic and watch the sunset. Had to keep relogging into the WiFi but the rooms were gorgeous!

We stayed here last year and have to say this year was better! First when you walk in needs new or more decor. Paint or some color would be good. Front desk employees were nice. Room was ready and it was a large room. Updated furniture but outdated and stained comforters. Could use new beds and pillows. Beautiful view of the sound dock and pier. Nice pool. They were short on towels in the room but the housekeeper Roslyn was outstanding! She went above and beyond for my family the whole week! My children loved her. The room was clean we had a lot of sand but she came and swept it out everyday. She was great! The a/c stopped working told the front desk and they had Johnny the maintenance guy come right away and fix it. He was very nice and funny. The breakfast had a large variety of food and was good. The young man Raymond was very polite and helpful. Our stay there was good and the kids are asking to go back already. Thanks for a great vacation! Keep up the good work!

I usually don't like leaving reviews and let me just say that I had to get online and write about the "Roya hotel and Suites" It's no longer a Quality Inn Bayside. I believe they changed management and boy did they make a HUGE mistake. What used to be Quality is now dirty, filthy, run-down, smelly, crack- hotel feel to this place! Towels are old stained and dirty. Walls in the front desk are peeled and Front desk staff talking about dating the hotel manager is highly unprofessional. I would reconsider the new management. I had given this hotel a second chance when the old management was there, the hotel had a different feel to it. Camping in a tent in the middle of the woods is a cleaner than this place. BEWARE!!!

After driving over 12 hours we finally made it to the hotel. MRS. BETH was amazing. She was KIND, HELPFUL and had the BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS at 3am. MR. RAYMOND WAS THE BEST HOUSEMEN YOU COULD HAVE. For the not so good. It took 3 tries to get the room keys to work. But at 3am. Mrs Beth came right on down and fixed it. The HOT water was never hot and we lost lots of pressure during showers. MR. RAYMOND was always available to assist in any way possible. The Wi-Fi wasn't working properly at all time. You Housekeeping staff was outstanding. Very hardworking group. I like not hearing them working while I'm sleeping. The room was very clean and very large. The AC UNIT worked better than the new one I have at my home. The beds could be updated. A great location on the bay. I would like to stay again. I just wanted to stay how happy I a with your staff. However Mrs. Beth and Mr. Raymond are a true ASSET. If only more companies had then as employees. I would even move down just to work with them. They will make you feel more like friends than GUEST.
