Not the newest hotel around, but really comfortable, with good amenities. The room was very clean, great view of the ocean and fantastic pools that my son loved. The restaurant serves great food, amazing breakfast and quick meals that you can have by the pool. Walking distance to great restaurants, and the staff were really friendly and happy to serve your needs. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a hotel right on the beach.
The place itself is nice and in a prime location. However, having to fight off a total of 9 cockroaches in 3 days is beyond belief. Each roach discovery was a different incident and time, not like all were found all at once. Some were in the bathroom, some were in the dressers, some were in the closets and even in the refrigerator. We complained to the office a total of four times and never did they ever place us in another room. On our last day there the final manager did give us $100 credit for our issues and was she was wondering why we were never given new rooms from the first incident. Again, to be fair.... the place is in a great area overall comfortable. My issue was in how the incident was or was not resolved from the beginning.
I love this hotel. We have stayed here several times in the past. The proximity to family activities, restaurants and the beach are a plus. This trip, however, we were disappointed to find the pool, grounds, rooms and hallways have become very dilapidated. Our sink and bathtub did not drain well. There were lights out in the bathroom and the hairdryer was barely working. The carpet in the room was nasty. The hotel is in desperate need of renovation and repair. Unless drastically improvements are made, we won't choose this hotel again.
Older hotel...lobby had buckets and towels all over the floor when I checked us in...room was clean and beds were comfortable...stains on ceilings...had to call maintenance to fix frigerator and desk lamp...he was good and fixed both...pools were nice but the rock waterfall pool needed painting...nostalgic visit but won't be back.
i PAID for a balcony, 2 beds, with "breaktaking views" of the gulf..obviously this was false advertising, bait and switch..VERY DISAPPOINTED!! i paid PREMIUM price for a room they normally charge $100 cheaper a night..when i arrived i was told i was "upgrated " to 1 king bed (not 2 beds) , they argued that a sofa in the room...i asked for 2 beds as i booked..ended up with views of a hedge and fence..PATHETIC....not worth the price i paid..AT ALL!!! ive stayed at this facility for over 20 years, ive never been treated worse..the room was so bad, we had to get repair guy twice...i feel if you order and PAY for a room, they should give you what you booked...there were other rooms with no view that were $100 nite cheaper..i feel they owe me $200 ....
The hotel was rin down and not clean. I would not stay here again or recommend it.
Everyone should stay there at least once. Right on the beach.
EVERYTHING was fabulous, except the internet. Great location.
Wifi sucked and could use some updates on bathrooms
Stayed here during Tropical Storm Cindy. Even though there was no swimming in the Gulf permitted during the storm, the pools were open. After the storm swimming was permitted in the heart gulf. The beach was beautiful during and after the storm. Chairs and umbrellas were available to rent on the beach. Great gift stores for beach toys etc. Paragliding, surfing, dolphin tours, fishing pier right there! Perfect location. There is a restaurant, inhouse pizza grill, bar, outdoor bar, grotto bar with a waterfall, beach massage and spa. Workout facilities. Room service, laudry facilities for guests. Excellent restaurants nearby for vegetarians also. Rockin Tacos restaurant is a stroll on the beach away, basically next door! Angler Cafe bar for an excellent breakfast is next door to Rockin Tacos, with the Fishing Pier right next to the restaurants. Great view!!! Gorgeous beach. Lifeguards on duty. Taxis and Uber. Destin is a 20 min drive away. Great fun!
Both outdoor bars close early. Rooms are pretty small and outdated
The resort has everything you need. Multiple pools bars and restaurants. On the beach. I would not suggest getting the parking lot view. It is just too close to the loading and unloading area and does not feel private. The rooms need updating but as much time as we spent doing other stuff during our stay it didn't matter that much. Overall I would say it is a good value.
Yes, it's an old hotel that hasn't been updated, but the rooms in the grounds are clean. The pool is great, and access to the beach is perfect. Staff is friendly.
Our car was broken into in the front parking lot of the hotel. No cameras. We won't be back.
Rooms were old – no free coffee Dash restaurant menu kind of expensive for that old hotel small heated pool kind of boring – main pool that everyone books for the waterfall pool is ice cold like a glass of ice water and cannot be swim in Until at least August when it's warm because it is not heated – hot tub water is very low only comes up to your belly – – rooms are small cramped they have no hair dryer only benefit is that it's a walk to the beach
Wish internet and bathroom light would have worked.
Grounds were great, rooms were ok, but the ground, amenities and friendly staff made up for it! Will definitely stay again!!
The hotel staff very friendly, and pools, grounds are very nice. The building was very old and dated, along with rooms. Needs to be renovated like the pools, grounds and would be great all around!!
Dirty room. Flies in carpet. Black mold in bathroom. Whole outside smelled like cigarettes. Scary men walking around at night. Total Dump. Is NOTHING like the pictures they post online
Definitely could use some updating, but you can't beat the beachfront view!! Absolutely pay the extra for beachfront!
