The hotel is nice but in the pool is a lot people smoking and isn't any restrictions for that.

I arrived to the hotel after a long and delayed flight for an important meeting that I was to have about an hour after I arrived there. When I arrived, even though I had reserved AND PAID for my room, I was told they had no rooms available, and directed me to go to another hotel which was about 20 minutes away, and which was in the direction I had just come from. If I had had some notice, I could have avoided the trip and gone straight to the new hotel, and made my meeting on time.

The staff were friendly and helpful (they were able to give us directions to places we wanted to go). The attached restaurant is nothing to write home about though. The location is close to downtown (about 1 mile) so it was convenient to get there, but not quite walking distance. It was probably close enough to walk to Edison's and Ford's winter homes! The rooms were clean and well furnished. For the price I was very happy with the accommodations!

I only stayed here for a weekend, to be in town for a wedding. The hotel itself appears clean and renovated. Staff were pleasant, and my room was clean. The only complaints I have is the mildewy smell of my room, which did not match it's newer appearance, and the alarm clock did not function properly. Luckily, I set a backup alarm on my phone, so I didn't miss my red eye flight back home. I did notify the front desk, so hopefully they resolved that for the next guest.

Hotel was clean. Breakfast was very good and at a great price.

Good location, close to attractions. Very quiet and comfortable. Should be a 4 star rating. Will stay again in the near future.

The room was ok! The restuarant was closed and they didn't offer us any sort of voucher.

We stayed there to be closed to Historic Downtown: perfect! The only inconvenience was the restaurant being remodeled and, therefore, closed. Meals were offered in one of the meeting rooms. Other than that minor inconvenience, we really enjoyed our stay and might return some day.

The location is better than the neighborhood suggests on first arrival - close to ford and Edison winter homes, SW Florida History Museum, and the cobblestone streets of Old Fort Myers. Should be great when the lounge/restaurant are renovated.

The hotel was nice & the hostesses were nice too. Just wish it was in a better location. It would be worth the value if they offered free hot breakfast.

It was everything it needed to be and then some. Better than expected.

nice room, helpful housekeeping. wish it had a heated pool and a hot tub. understand you don't need it in the summer, but cold water in march. over all nice rooms, helpful staff.

Very clean. The staff was very friendly and polite.

Employees at front desk were exceptionally helpful & friendly. They & the staff in the restaurant laugh & are happy, putting you at ease. What a great place it must be to work! New renovations have made things even better. The only negative is that it's in an ugly part of town. From the "Downtown Historic" in the hotel name, I thought we'd be able to walk to that area. It's not downtown, nor in the historic district.

Very enjoyable

The hotel staff was great. The restaurant staff service was poor. Went to dinner at 600pm. There was a small party going on in the dinning room so we sat in Bar area. After 15min. of sitting there I had to go find a server, when there was no one in the Bar. After ordering our dinners the server was no were to found. I had to go track down the server to get the check. Then she disappered and we had to go look for her to pay. The next morning we went for breakfest at 830am. Upon arrivial we found no one there. A min or two later the server came and we asked for menu and coffee. The server was less than happy to take care of us and told us it would be about 15 mins to get a cup of coffee. At this time we left and went to another place for breakfest. Not sure what the issue was as they open at 630am to why there was no coffee made. The rest of my stay I went out of Hotel for meals.

great experiance that's why I chose it over Comfort Inn.

very nice stay

Clean rooms, and recently updated; but still an aging hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Very helpful personnel.
