I booked this hotel after booking the tortuga music festival and wow what a lucky dog. This hotel has been recently refurbished and is beautiful. The location could not be beat for proximity to the VIP entrance to tortuga which was a huge timesaver for the wife and I. Free parking was a plus as was the fully stocked kitchenette in our room. A quick trip to publix and we were set. Room was spotless as was the pool area. The pool area has a great entertaining area with big screen TV. Staff was very accommodating to our late checkin and checkout. We will definitely use this hotel in the future.
My husband and I stayed at Deco for one night in each bend of our cruise trip in March. We found it to be very clean and nice looking. Never saw it before the renovation, but it's super cute now. Our room (B34) was large and clean. Only issues was our shower faucet was messed up (had to turn it to cold and wait awhile before we got hot water), and there was no working elevator for getting luggage up to the 3rd floor. Staff (we assume the owners as it was the same 2 people day and night on both stays), was friendly and helpful. He helped carry the suitcases up the stairs. Short walk to the beach and nearby restaurants. They have donuts and coffee for breakfast, nothing fancy. We would definitely stay there again.
Chose this hotel for a short mid week business trip. Great Value and great location (a couple minute walk to Beach). Office staff was very nice, and helpful. Room looked like it had been recently renovated. Very clean. Had everything you need, including kitchenette. The pool was being repaired when I arrived so didn’t get to enjoy it...but with the beach so close was not a huge deal. This is an old school Florida hotel that has been renovated. In this price range you will not find a better option.
Not a two minutes walk to the beach ! Not a free parking and renovation is ok but not much . There is still bugs in the rooms and old carpet. Pool is disgusting and the backyard is all over the place .... I would not go back .
Quaint hotel with new owners currently renovating the rooms. Very much old Florida type hotel. The renovated room was nice but some corners were cut, messy paint, cabinet doors wobbly, not the quality you'd want in your home, but acceptable for an old property. Cooktop, full fridge, and stocked kitchen. 4 cup coffee maker. Counter space was nonexistent and bathroom was super tiny (although nicely renovated). We had booked two queen beds but got a room with two full beds, but there was also a decent sleeper sofa available (although we had no sheets for it). Beach is a short walk across the street and pool was kept up nice and was deep. The property manager (didn't catch his name) was very friendly. Renovations were ongoing in some rooms but only done during waking hours and workers were friendly. Drunk, rowdy kids in pool one night kept us up, and there was no one to contact about that- no after hours information left in the room. Other than that, nice stay.
It's hotel amazing. Friednly staff, clean pool. Nice and quiet. bed was great. Room was beautiful and very very comfy)))) This hotel is 3 minutes’ walk from the beach. We will return to Blarney Hotel!
This motel has new owners and they advertise recently renovated! The rooms had dark brown paneling that was not put together properly and never fit right. Actually after using bathroom could not get out unless my husband moved a piece of the panel so I could get out. The floorboards were not installed correctly and it moved as you walked on it. The pool was disgusting green and looked like it was not cleaned for awhile. We went to this motel for years with the previous owner, Marie, who kept in spotless and many guest returned yearly. We met some return guest who indicated that they would not return again either. We will never return!! They were rude and not at all accommodating. The price was also very high for this motel.
I checked in yesterday for a 2 night stay, I am amazed. The front desk staff made me feel welcome. She was very friendly and nice. My room is comfortable, clean and has everything I need for my stay. The beach is across the street a 3 minutes walk... Cant get much better than that. There is a pool here and tables to sit and lounge chairs too. If you are looking for an affordable, clean safe place to stay ..this is it.
We have been visiting this hotel for over 35 years Regrettably,we have just visited for the last time. The place has been taken over by new owners, and the change shows - not for the better. We'd booked in for 7 nights prior to embarking for a cruise. The room price had doubled; the reason given was that the property had been extensively renovated. The bathroom was nicely refinished with marble and new shower doors, and the room also showed some improvement - but that did not extend to the carpet, which was badly stained. The room itself was so cramped that all it could accommodate were 2 double beds and almost nothing else. A single bedside lamp was the only light source, and there was nowhere else to sit except on the beds (We had to carry in a couple of chairs from outside the room - and there was barely any space for them). A light outside the door shone into the room with no way to block it out, and this spoiled our sleep for the night. We found better accommodation elsewhere on A1A at half the price and checked out after one night. Regrettably, we have stayed at the Blarney Castle for the last time.
Pool is full of icky green sludge and garbage! In the room theres a layer of dirt/dust on a heater in the closet. If you have allergies stay away. I asked for a cot in the smaller room they said it was extra $30, thats a scam! The shower had no pressure and dirt around the rim. The two front desk people were nice and helpful.
