Mattresses were comfortable. well maintained facility.
Beautiful area. Historic property.
The location is excellent! The scenery is beautiful and good restaurants and activities are within walking distance. The pool was closed to guests all three days we were there. The WIFI is very weak. There is not enough seating in the breakfast area. The Sunday brunch which costs $30 per person is very average and beverages, except for water, are not included. The great location and the historical aspect of the building compensate for the shortcomings.
We loved the history behind the Inn and its beautiful antiques. The pool was very nice and tbe staff were pleasant and helpful. The continental breakfast was good but lacked some type of protein, with restrictions lifted not sure why we still had prepackaged food. But even so the Belgiam waffles were fantastic! Overall our stay was great and we will be returning to stay there again.
Everything was great! The place was immaculate, and conveyed a warm atmosphere. The staff at the check-in booth was really special. The lady and David made us feel at home and they let us know they were there if we needed any thing at all. All hotels should have guest relations as nice as them.
Wonderful, comfortable room! Loved the whole place, will go back!
Loved the history of the property, but room was not what was pictured when booked. Our room was part of the newer addition, which were overpriced motor lodge rooms. Room was not worth what was paid. Service at desk was great though!
Wonderful staff Did not find the bed very comfortable
The 1927 Lake Lure Inn & Spa is a quaint, stately historical hotel with great location and views.
Historical inn with beautiful interior and landscaping.
We love historic hotels, and this is one of the best. We were welcomed warmly and discovered that the heat had already been turned on in our room and the music was on. It was clean and very comfortable. The hotel itself is "historically elegant". There is so many interesting pieces of art and the best surprise were the antique music boxes. Truly a unique collection. The continental breakfast was more than traditional and included fresh eggs, pancakes, bacon and sausage. It was served in a beautiful front room off the porch. If you are looking for the newest and latest hotel room, this is not the place. But if you want old-world elegance I highly recommend it.
The Lake Lure Inn is comprised of the original hotel and an annex. The annex appears to have been a 30's/40's motor lodge prior to its having been annexed to the Inn. I stayed in an annex room which was small (some would say cozy) but the room was functional and had a very comfortable bed with good linens, a private bathroom with small, stand alone shower (maybe 4' square) with excellent water pressure.
Hard to give a fair review. We were placed in the annex, which reminded me of an old motor lodge. The tv was an old 19 inch tv mounted to the ceiling. On the plus side, the main hotel was absolutely gorgeous. Beautiful bar, restaurant, and pool. We thought the lobby was fabulous. The staff were polite and professional. The view was also beautiful. Complementary breakfast was scant, but acceptable. Highly recommend, but ask for a room in the main hotel, not the annex.
If you like old stuff and antiques you will love this place. However, that is not my cup of tea. Small shower, not bathroom vent; not TV guide and limited channels. When I called the front desk to find channels they didn't know the channel for the schedule broadcast. Limited breakfast (cereals and cup cakes) and of course coffee in the mornings.
The 1927 Lake Lure Inn & Spa places you next to Lake Lure Beach and Water Park and within a 10-minute walk of Lake Lure. This hotel has 72 rooms and welcomes guests with conveniences like free breakfast, a marina, and free in-room WiFi.
Free continental breakfast is served each morning from 7 AM to 9 AM. This hotel serves as home to a fine-dining restaurant, which has pool views and specializes in American cuisine, along with a bar. Savor a meal from the comfort of your room with room service.
32-inch flat-screen TVs come with cable channels, and guests can stay connected with free WiFi. Bathrooms offer hair dryers and free toiletries. Other standard amenities include coffee makers, phones, and ironing boards.
A marina, free WiFi in public areas, and an outdoor tennis court are featured at The 1927 Lake Lure Inn & Spa. The front desk is staffed 24/7 to help secure valuables, and answer any questions about the accommodations. Other amenities at this beach hotel include a seasonal outdoor pool, coffee/tea in a common area, and a microwave in a common area.
