Key Largo Bay Marriott Beach Resort

3.5 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

The hotel property is beautiful. Fantastic pool. Awesome ocean views. Beach is small but this seems typical if Key Largo beaches. Hotel staff was very helpful. Beds are super comfortable.

Loved the location of the hotel. Views were out of this world. Friendly restaurant staff and hotel staff. Housekeeping service needs to change and rooms need to be updated soon.

Great resort. Restaurant is a bit pricey but everything else was so beautiful and convenient.

All Staff was very nice and very friendly. Carlos at the tiki bar remebered our drinks from the very first one. Beach and pool areas were kept super nice daily visits from the iguanas were cool too

Very small beach area. But nice. A little pricey perfect weather

Everything would have been 5 star, except, they charged an extra $15 a day, plus taxed on it daily, for parking and I was never told. I am used to having Hotel parking come with the room.

We wanted a no-hassle Florida palm tree and warm weather experience, and Marriot Key Largo fit the bill. We had a quick 2 1/2 hr flight from Philly; we rented a car and in 1 hr. we were on our balcony, with a bag full of key limes and a half pint of vodka. (normally, we don't drink). We gave most the of bottle away to a nice couple on our last day

Stayed 4 nights in later March. 2 Adults on a winter getaway from the northeast. Check in was quick and easy. We had a bayside room. There are two buildings, one that overlooks the pool and beach and one that overlooks a small marina and dive shop. The building overlooking the small marina, has nice views of the bay and offers nice views of sunset, but does have a bit of obstruction By the back of Gus's restaraunt that sits in front (see Pics). We were in the latter. While it was set back further from the bay, it was likley quieter because it was away from the pool area that is busy. The walk to the pool while a bit further than the other building is short. The room was clean, and the usual ammenities were present. Shower hardware and furniture is aging a little bit, but acceptable. Should see some overhaul in the near future, not any reason to avoid. Breakfast at Gus's was ala cart or buffet, it was 20/p and had all the usual items, and was good. Beach area and pool were clean and well maintained. Beach is a course sand, do not expect it to be soft white sand. This is the keys and very coral like. The water is an enclosed inner bay. No waves, bottom has growth. But water is clean and was comfortable. Water sports of all sorts. Kayaks, SUP, Jetski. All for rent. A little expensive in my opinion.

Your money is better spent somewhere else. The hotel is run down and not well maintained. ...I would not recommend.

Beautiful hotel only negative was that there was not a continental breakfast, or some place to get coffee thru out the day. Only one expensive restaurant with late evening hours, so limited dining

Perfect best hotel in the key largo. I would totally recomend it great staff and location. Fun for kids and adults

Great place for teens. Lots of activities and easy access to diving/fishing, etc.

Ended our family vacation here. Not bad overall, nice pool, beach is small but pretty, no complaints.

This hotel was well priced, well appointed, tons of amenities, and right on the beach. Balconies were lovely. Staff were very friendly.

The staff were fantastic, very professional and friendly. Nice pool, small beach but that was fine. Great location would definitely return.

Very nice staff, clean rooms and nice bar-restaurant on premise. Excellent breakfast.

Good value for the money, great pool, small beach, great location, expensive drinks at the bar, free parking, rooms are clean and small, no smoking.

Overall we had a nice time (despite some of the con's), and struggle with if we would recommend the hotel, although we did say Yes. if rooms were upgraded - recommendation would definitely be Yes. But don't expect your typical Marriott room - looks more like a warn motel room. game room should be enclosed - how do you plan ping pong with a breeze? However, we actually had a nice trip, enjoyed the location - beautiful views from beach, Breezers bar great for an evening drink while sun setting and during happy hour!!! All staff / food / views - great! Pro's - all staff friendly and helpful, willing to help whenever they can, grounds are great - water views great, food great, Con's - outdoor game room really poor, little ants in room (i told them not to spray - so that's on me), rooms aren't what you'd expect from a Marriott - not well equipped (meaning old towel racks, old furniture, etc), not clean enough - but both are simply due to the room appearance is old/warn. However, I didn't come here to stay in my room.

We were looking for the closest, nicest place to the Miami airport as we were arriving late at night. This hotel was as expected after reading the reviews. Our room was facing the highway, and was pretty loud at times. We had two doubles, and although I requested a crib for our little one, there was not one available the first night (We have an eight and six year old too!). Not very cozy first night, but a crib became available the second night. Our young kids loved the beach and pool areas. We rented the stand up paddleboards and cruised around the shoreline. We are not snorkelers or divers, which many of the guests seemed to be, so our outside entertainment/activities were limited. We had dinner in the main restaurant, which was empty. As the hotel was full, we wondered where everyone was eating. However, the food turned out to be surprisingly good. Overall, a great two night stay on our way down the Keys.

We stayed here a few yrs back (Aug 2012). The beach area was small but clean. It was low season so there were plenty of chairs. The pool was fun for the kids, they received free goggles upon check-in (not sure if they still do this now). We checked in super late and checked out super early so the process was fast. There was an area around the ice machine that was dripping water but other than that, the premises was clean also. The BEST part was the personal touch my daughter received. She lost a tooth and in her excitement, announced the news to an employee we happened to pass by in the hallway. The next thing we knew when we got back in our room later that day, there was a card and piece of cake from the "tooth fairy". What customer service!! We will definitely come back.
