Ibis Bay Beach Resort

Pros: This hotel was less than 10 miles from downtown Key West. They have a shuttle every hour to take you there and bring you back from 2 set locations. They didn't replace toilet paper unless I asked. (we 4 stayed 4 days) Cons: Room was rather small. Cobwebs on corner of rooms, cracks on bathroom by sink caulking, broken towel rod. Breakfast was just ok. Conclusion: for what we paid for I had expected cleaner room, better overall. So will not stay here again.

This hotel is a delightful gem! Our room was right on the beach with a small private deck, complete with a table and chairs to enjoy the view. The room decor is especially charming, done in a 50’s retro style. The free hourly shuttle service to downtown Key West allowed us to avoid the hassle of finding, and paying for parking.

Loved the stay. Shuttle to downtown was useful. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn

Close to everything and price was ok. Area was convenience

This very eclectic hotel met our basic needs of a clean room, warm shower, and comfortable bed to sleep in while on vacation. This hotel is not “in town” and not near any of the tourist attractions but it does offer a free shuttle to 2 locations in downtown Key West at the top of every hour. A typical Uber or taxi fare runs between $11-$15 one way. The view from our small back deck would be considered beautiful if it wasn’t for the fairly large power lines runn8ng through the “beach” as well as the view of the very busy street adjacent to the beach. I booked this hotel even though it was not in town specifically because it was located on a beach; however it was not my idea of a typical beach getaway. The beach was basically unusable due to all the coral and seaweed which did not make it look very clean or tropical. This was my biggest disappointment. My second disappointment was the condition of the bathroom. It’s in serious need of a make over. We had a sea foam green bathtub with an extremely rusty drain, and the bathroom smelled moldy. Lastly, the room did not contain a closet or “in room safe”. I asked for a second luggage rack to hold my suitcase. The restaurant on the property (separately owned and operated) offered a complimentary daily continental breakfast. The turtle habitat was a cute touch to the property

Clean well kept facility with highly rated seafood restaurant attached. Colorful clean rooms. Small bathroom was a negative and swimming pool too cold but otherwise really nice stay.

I enjoyed stating at the resort. Although it is a little bit away from the core of Key West, the access via the shuttle or other means wasn't bad. The bright colored decor was fun, the staff was friendly and helpful. I got a big kick out of the circus posters in some of the upstairs windows.

Easy check in, friendly accommodating staff, comfortable beds, cramped parking, tiny bathroom, highway runs perpendicular to hotel so back beach view includes lots of car traffic/noise but rooms inside are soundproof

Went over the holidays when everything is at peak price. The hotel has basic amenities the are suitable for the price. The place was clean and the staff took excellent care of the grounds and resort. Nice large fluffy beach and bathroom towels. Linens changed daily. Not common anymore. Clean. Food was good too.

a bit overpriced. Has some neat animals on site such a parrot and a turtle. Decor is really cute. Rooms are set up like little cottages. Near water.

Very cute resort, easy access to all Key West activities. Shuttle bus ran every hour up until 10p.m. Room was also very cute-could have used a little bit of updating-carpet was extremely unappealing, air conditioner was very noisy. Would definitely stay here again.

The chef Julio was a really nice informative person . Energy was great . The host Needs to be more customer service friendly . Overall decent stay ! Food is great at this hotel for purchase .

Good location. They have a nice small private beach. Jet ski was accessible from the hotel.

Friendly staff. Great location. Right on the beach.

This was the second time in this hotel, we really enjoyed to stay there, because is not necessary to drive, the breakfast is ok, we can walk 10K close to the sea. I´m sure next year will be the third time in the same hotel.

We stayed 3 nights. Staff was very friendly and accomidating. Shuttle downtown was nice drop off right near everything. Room was clean and well kept.

I went for a girls getaway. I tried to buy some peseco to celebrate at the front office... no go. Their cash register didn't work and they could it do anything about it. I left it there. Then no microwave. We stayed for 4 days 3 nights. The b st part was having the hammocks and the private view. The breakfast was bread cheese and boiled eggs. It never changed. Not a variety of fruit or cereal. Could have found better. I rate my overall review 2 stars.

We hitten bikrs to go to the city there was also a free suttle

This retro hotel was definitely GREAT. The shuttle service made everything even better. The shuttle ran every hour from 10am - 10pm to the downtown area. The beach-side rooms are definitely worth the extra cost. The breakfast buffet was very good.

Loved the styling and all staff was very friendly. Attached to Stoned Crab restaurant, which is the nicest restaurant in area and pool is attached to their bar. Breakfast is lacking , but nice that it is offered. Bus runs every hour which is a great plus also.

Hi Celeste, Yes you are correct our bathrooms are in need of a bit of a face lift as for our AC's we change them often, remove them to clean them and do routine maintenance on them. We have the largest hotel beachfront in Key West and unfortunately yes power lines do need to run so that we can have electricity! We are a small island so sometimes necessity trumps beauty and gets in the way of our beautiful bay views. We are glad you enjoyed the breakfast and our restaurant, we hope you choose to come back and I can help you choose a room with a larger more updated bathroom.

Rick, What beautiful photos! This is the only time of the year the pool is not naturally warm! Sorry for the cool front, we get only a handful every year!

Rob, Our night tour is a winner. Its nothing like any other trips in Key West. The circus posters are weird like us.
