This is not a Mercure hotel standards that I am used to find in my business travels. The site is falling apart, rooms are out of fashion, poor restaurant options offer and outrageous fares! There are better options in Floripa ... Castelmar Hotel (200 feet away) is a good option.
This hotel is very different from the usual Mercure style. The room was very dirty and stuttered. Crashed walls and very badly manitened. It was a very bad experience. Unbelievable. WIll never be back there.
The staff is great. The views fantastic from the higher rooms. The parking in the place has valet service and the location is near from the beira Mar, hercilio Luz bridge and downtow. The higher rooms are very silent.
MERCURE Florianópolis Downtown has a great staff and they do all they can to make you feel comfortable. This is quite important to me since I always stay there with my six-year-old son and the hotel personnel has always treated us tenderly. The hotel is in a calm streeet near downtown and it is quite easy to go from there to any place in the city.
One of the worst Mercure Hotel I've ever stayed. Front desk staff are not familiar with LeClub rules and benefits, housekeeping won't replace your towels even if you leave them on the floor. Hotel it's pretty old and not well maintained. It's not worth the money.
I seleced the Mercure center in Florianópolis since it belongs to Accor, and I know this brand. But we had a bad experience on staying there, despite price was high, the room was not clean, things broken in the bathroom, bad smell, wi-fi and TV not working. I do not recommend. Besides that I complain and ask for reimbursement and until today no answers.
everything was good in the stay, especially the very kind e objetive help that i received from the manager to register details, offering too any kind of support, related to a small accident occured with my car in the hotel's garage when it was moved by the valet driver.
The location itself was in a quiet neighborhood near Praca da Luz, and the views on my balcony being on the 9th floor was breathtaking. The restaurant was well served and the views were great as well. One incident that occurred while I was there was that they had programmed the boiler replacement and it took more than expected and that disrupted plans for dinner since I couldn't shower until 9 pm. The parking is not free even for guests. Internet was reliable, rooms need an urgent makeover since they seem like an old apartment.
The overall cost/benefit of the hotel is good when you are travel for business. The main advantage is the room ti include a kitchen where guests can have a meal if they want. Other interesting aspect is the park in front the hotel which make easier to guests to go walking. In addition the hotel is close to down town and there are many shops closeby.
The Mercure Centro Hotel faces a park and from the rooms there is a fantastic view of the bridges. The room was only partially renovated and the furniture and doors were worn. Staff was incredibly helpful. If you are interested not only in beaches, but in the historical part of the city, this is the ideal location: from the hotel you can walk to Praça XV and surroundings and see a mix of art nouveau, art déco and modernist buildings. The Mercado Central (fish market) is also not far from the hotel.
