We had a new stay in the hotel were we also atayed a few years ago. It is a very Nice placed hotel With pools and gardens around, and With a Nice restaurant and bar. We would have liked to give 5 Points, bud the stay were not as good as the first time. Pigeons were living outside evert window, and you heared them very well if you tried a nap after a walk. Apart from that, the service was still on a good level.
This Hotel has all you need when you're on holiday. It's beautiful and in a quiet location. The hospitality is fantastic. From day one you will be very welcome from the very professional receptionists. All the hotel is very clean, your room and bathroom is always found spic and span. The food for breakfast and when eating in the evening in the restaurant is very nicely presented and delicious. When I needed an early breakfast, I found a breakfast bag waiting for me at the reception. During my stay I celebrated my birthday. When I arrived back in my room that day, I found a bottle of champagne in an Ice bucket waiting for me with best wishes from the Hotel management. Parking the car was not a problem. Just couldn't be better. Very highly recommended. Both thumbs up ! Will defiantly come again.
The hotel is in a beautiful and quiet location that is reasonably close to Florence. The rooms were lovely with gorgeous views. The staff were cordial and would try to accommodate guest needs. The Wi-Fi service was incredibly poor when it was working, and it often was not working. This was hard to accept from such a highly rated hotel.
We have just returned from a 3 night break here.Staff are warm and very welcoming. The location, building and grounds are beautiful. Our room was lovely and elegantly decorated and although we were close to the main road traffic noise was not an issue.A free shuttle bus is offered to Florence but needs to be booked the day before or it is a 90 euro taxi ride.We did both and the taxi was actually a private luxury car. Both drivers were engaging, giving us wonderful information about our surroundings and where to go once we arrived in Florence centre.Breakfast has an ample choice and is served in a beautiful area of the villa. We also had evening meals which were wonderful and the staff, and manager Giovanni were attentive, warm and friendly. We look forward to returning.
Only 30 minutes from Florence city centre. Only way there and back is to catch a private taxi. €70 from train station and €90 back Rooms are nice. Breakfast is too die for with staff being very polite. Spa centre is good with a sauna steam room and outdoor pool. Views from all around the location are good Great for a couple of days to get away from it all. American tourists seem to like this place to. Would go back
The hotel is located in beautiful tuscan countryside. It is an historic building recently restored and the decor is modern, elegant and very tasteful. The food was high quality and very well prepared, very good attentive service, we enjoyed our stay very much, everything was just right , the place peaceful and relaxing, especially the breakfast served in the beautiful gardens , just lovely. I would definitely return. Also comfortable to visit Florence Ps The hotel is close to Mugello Ferrari race track, you can hear the cars roaring on the road from the hotel when it is in use which it was when we stayed at the hotel.
We stayed 2 nights here. Staff warm welcome and greeting from reception. Our room was very well appointed. Gym has basic equipment but sufficient. Boutique small spa. Breakfast buffet help yourself. Good waiter a breakfast he was funny. Dinner very limited choice and don't change the menu or rotate menu on different days very often, so if you stay two nights it's the same food. Restaurant food just ok. Overall pleasant stay.
5 years to rebuild this old palazzo and results are really awesome! the decoration is so refined in each little details. The hotel is huge and you can lost yourself in corridors which is actually great because you discover other beautiful spaces (dining rooms, salon, bar...). Good buffet for breakfast. Good service and tasty food at the restaurant(super pasta!). Our room had a nice view on the garden. Nice moulure and "trompe l'oeil" on walls and ceiling. Good bed quality. Bathroom was a little bit small without much light but confortable. Perfect for an escapade with your lover!
I chose to stay here with my family as it was perfectly located to see a bit of Tuscany and be 'shuttled' into Florence 35 minutes away. This Villa is beautiful but falls just short of the promised 5 star. Unlike previous reviews we found every member of staff to be helpful and friendly. The food was fabulous, yes a little pricey, but you get what you pay for. The pool was quiet every time we visited in the afternoon and we found the sun beds to be more than adequate. The jacuzzi in the wellness area disappointed due to a lack of working jets and the discovery of thick green mould but we didn't visit this hotel for the wellness area. The rooms were reasonably spacious and the beds and pillows were so comfy our nights sleep was excellent. The rooms should have provided free water, that was a shame, and the air con was a little too warm for us and even though we reported it after a failure to turn it down in our room the temperature didn't change. So a couple of issues, but overall our stay was fabulous and we would strongly recommend the Villa.
A very neutral welcome without the promised welcome drink and a request to move our car quickly to the car park. The room was average but with poor Air Con and a hard bed. There was no bottled water on offer in sight, in fact the room was pretty basic as was the overpriced sparsely stocked minibar. The 'relaxing pool' had screaming kids and there were barking dogs every morning to annoy you at breakfast. When there was a space, the beds by the pool were extremely uncomfortable, like lying on a plank of wood. Its a nice location but better was the lake nearby, the outlet mall if you like designer shopping and a fantastic local restaurant opposite the hotel. We just got the impression that no effort was being made by the management. Some great individuals who were proud of what they did was one of the chefs and a waitress who cared. This place needs an injection of something as it could offer much more.
