Our stay at Meridian Country Hotel was a highlight for my group. From our first evening on the terrace, to our two great meals (thank you for the steak!) to the restful setting in the hills above Florence, to the hotel itself, It was a wonderful two nights!
Very efficient and amazing staff. The breakfast was excellent and we enjoyed our 4 Nights stay at the hotel. Would definitely visit this hotel again. The front office staff was extremely helpful 😊 - Roshan (Sri Lanka)
A great country style hotel with very friendly staff, rooms are basic but have everything you need. Bathroom is a good size but only has a little caravan style shower (no bath) it has a great towel warming rack for drying clothes which was handy as it was cold and wet in January. The breakfasts were very good but always the same each day, after 5 days would have liked some variety. Located on a little hill with a lovely view. Would recommend. Very reasonable rates for what you get!
A easy drive from Bologna airport to find this wonderful classy hotel for a night before entering Florence. Lovely facility, elegant, quiet and spotlessly clean. First class breakfast buffet with a cornucopia of foods. Highly recommended, front desk so polite and welcoming.
The hotel is a bit isolated so you would ideally need a car. The hotel looks quite modern and the rooms are actually outside buildings so you have a private balcony and a lawn area beyond that. I was there in November and I imagine it must be lovely in the summer as there is a lot of outdoor areas. Breakfast is very good with a great choice of hot and cold foods. Recommended.
Stayed here for two nights with my husband good base for seeing the Tuscan countryside and also Florence. I would advise hiring a car though we would've been stuck without one! Staff are very friendly and helpful especially the manager who also speaks very good English. The hotel itself was very clean did a great breakfast and had stunning views!
This was the 2nd time in Meridiana and they remembered us. The Staff is very friendly and helpfull. Very good breakfast and we will book it again the next time we go to Florence or chopping in Barbarino. The Manager, Loris is a very nice person!
We enjoyed our stay in the Meridiana Country Hotel. Great hotel, great service excelllent breakfast. My husband likes eggs and bacon in the morning and both were perfect. I liked the fruits and muesli. The bread was acceptable. The rooms were clean and good designed. The hotel offered other features we could not check because of lack of time. The manager was very kind and helpful - a main difference to a standard hotel where you often cannot find any soul or dedication. Good Wifi and even some German television channels. Don't forget to ask for a good dinner in town - the manager will give you the right adress. The hotel is perfect for a visit in Florence. We took the train from Prato and parked the car in front of the train station for free. I was in the center of Florence by car some years ago and would never do that again. Better take that hotel and use the train - it's gonna be better for your car and for your nerves.
Stayed here as part of our Italian your abs a base for Tuscany/Florence.The hotel is fairly remote but there are a few good restaurants close by (see my other reviews) The hotel doesn't have a restaurant but it does have a well stocked bar! There is a small gym and sauna too. It's on a main road but I didn't hear any traffic from room and it was easy to find via sat nav. On arrival, we received a warm welcome from the lovely gentleman on the front desk and he was superb throughout our stay. The room was a fair size with large balcony and shower room. I did have a niggle in that when we first got to room, it smelt of smoke. To be fair to the hotel- I didn't report this or ask to move and after a quick airing out- the smell did seem to lift. I'm sure they would have moved us if I'd asked but I have to be honest in my reviews!! Breakfast was good- lots of choice and even scrambled eggs!! There was bacon but it wasn't really cooked the way I prefer. Fresh juices, coffees, cakes, meats and pastries meant we never went hungry! Really lovely hotel in luscious surroundings. It was quiet although that suited us fine as we were off exploring during the days there. I would stay there again and thought the price we paid was excellent value.
A great quite hotel really next to the nature. Unique opportunity for driving tourism. Close to different highways gives you the chance to visit different destinations every day. Big clean rooms with view in the forest. Extremely kind and helpful staff, big rooms.
