If you can get a night stay here cheap u wont be disappointed....location awesome and clean....staff are wonderful and helpful...NOT for the 5start person but if you are travelling on a budget and need somewhere to lay your head for the night is clean and quiet you cant go wrong....i ended up in an apartment 3 minutes away from hotel and was happy overall ....good nights sleep in a great location for cheap

I had booked a single room, courtyard view, A/C and roof terrace - lovely picture - fantastic location. Upon check-in I was told I had to walk for 10 mins. as I would have a studio with A/C ....... - the building didn't have A/C ..... So - 4 keys, 6 mins. walk on, found the studio, not nice, top floor, no views, no roof terrace, - luckily A/C and a nice bathroom. Breakfast was served in the main building, - sticky & hot, - the jams were OK, the coffee; I've had it worse. The whole place was just sooo run-down; dirty carpets, stripe of dust on all walls, - VERY much up for a total refurbishment.

Where to start! We arrived by motorbike so the hotel drew us a map for the nearest carpark. The map sent us the wrong way down a one way street, not a good start. After unloading all our heavy luggage at the hotel and putting the bike in a garage we were informed we would be staying in an apartment 0.7km away, would have been good to know this before we unloaded, especially as they sat and watched us! Another mindblowingly poor map (staff seriously need some map reading lessons) was drawn that had us walking across the centre in +35c heat in full bike gear only for the map to take us to the wrong place. Patience was wearing seriously thin at this point. Called and asked for someone to come show us the correct way but they never appeared. Eventually found the apartment by blind luck. Shower had no door so after 0.37 seconds of showering the floor was approximately a foot deep in water. Breakfast was just a bowl of crappy bread. Informed them my wife cant eat bread and they just shrugged. To think i paid good money for this experience. Please don't stay here!

Bit of an '80s backpacker feel to the place. Excellent location - close to The Savoy no less.... and 2 mins walk to Il Duomo. However, we didn't see the hotel rooms as we were given a 2 bed large loft apartment (we were 2 adults, 1 kid) some 5 mins walk away at another property. Comfy beds - very quiet and peaceful. No windows in the loft apartment, No windows (to look out of) in loft apartment. Fridge and cooker didn't work (no electric). Good view from the top terrace of the actual hotel. However, whilst the 'excellent view' was mentioned to us for when we came back for breakfast at 0730, it was locked till 0800 (which we found after traipsing to the top floor). Breakfast was pretty poor (at the hotel). Overall, excellent location and therefore adequate value, but that's all.

Location: Very good, near to the big cathedral of florence Room: Poor, very bad toilet and shower. Air conditioner: None which is not acceptable Tv: None, also not acceptable. Breakfast: Poor. I advise to take it outside

I am generally easy to please but this place was just wrong on every level. Rude staff at reception advised us that we were actually placed at another part of the property which was several blocks away. Our room had incredibly low ceilings with NO WINDOWS! The housekeeping staff entered our room whilst we were occupying to access a linen room. During the recent heat wave the room was like an inferno. We had to go back to the reception of the hotel for breakfast which was a stale bread roll and a packaged biscuit. So disappointing in this beautiful city.

The pros - the location is exceptional - in the heatbwave, the moved us into their sister property so we had aircon - but then that came with a whole set of extra problems The cons - when we had to move to another hotel, no one helped with our baggage - there is only wifi on level one of the actual hotel, meaning we didnt have wifi when we were moved - the room we were moved to had the only access to the maids closet, so the maid came in for suppliers. Bless her, she was sweet but the thought of someone in our room was a bit disconcerning - the staff were pretty disinterested in helping - the breakfast was literally just coffee and bread I feel we are pretty low maintenance but even this one pushed my buttons a bit. Location wise though, you can't beat it

Location is fabulous! But lower your expectations for this one. Room was clean, yet falling apart. Obviously, not maintained well. Headboard on bed was taped to stay together. Trim coming off the wall. Bathroom so small that the shower was literally on top of the toilet, with a good slant for drainage, making it unsafe for the not-so-stable visitor when it was wet and quite slippery. You could sit on the toilet and shower. Because of this situation, the wall around the door was rotting away. There is a hairdryer, but we chose not to use it, seeing it was in that small bathroom, next to that open shower. Too much a risk for electrical disaster. Bring your own protein bar, or the likes...For breakfast we were served a basket of four rolls and some packaged dry toast, along with juice and/or coffee for four people. Not a good start for a diabetic or anyone needing a little protein in the morning. The terrace had a most beautiful view. But again, not well cared for and in need of maintenance. No wi-if in rooms. Staff, not so friendly of helpful. Good points, it is quiet within. Not so quiet with street noise, as it is an old building with no AC and windows must be kept open. The streets are very noisy throughout the entire night. Again, the location is fabulous. Close to Duomo, Palazzo de Republican, Uffizzi, Pallazzo Signoria.

Disasterous hotel for such a perfect location.such a waste ! The rooms are very small, old and no airconditoning..Bathrooms ! almost not exist. Breakfast is far below the mediocre.. We had to switch to an apartment of same property thanks to help of reception people... Certainly not recomended.. We had chance to talk with other guests and they even had worse experience... The owner has to consider to renovate the hotel.

In the heart of the city, the hotel has an excellent localisation but don't wait for the luxury in a hotel with a two star. The staff is helpful. The scenery of the terrace is very beatiful. The decoration is typical for the city. The corridors and the terrace is not very clean but the rooms are clean. The beds are safe. We didn't tane breakfast so I can not commend. We liked to be there.
