Stayed at this hotel as a part of a whistle stop tour of Italy, staying just one night in Florence. Expected something fairly standard as we had chosen to stay near the station for ease of travel and fitting as much in as possible in our limited time. The good points- it is within a 5 minute walk of the station and some of the main attractions of the city. Breakfast had reasonable selection. The bad points- uncomfortable bed and a pillow each with just one spare pillow in the room. There is poor soundproofing and therefore noises in the hallway all night lead to a restless sleep. Also a considerable amount of mould in the shower. At €180 plus city tax definitely expected better.
It was a very pleasant, wonderful stay!!!! Had a fantastic room with my own private balcony.... view of the city and sun all day round if I wanted to stay in!!!! It was a superior deluxe room.... Furthermore the hotel was within EASY walking distance from the places of interest.... What DID displease me, was the horrible way housekeeping looked after you.... Everything seemed to be too much for the cleaning lady and you had indeed to ask for the things that you wanted or that were missing.... But by enlarge, a wonderful stay in an incredible city but for the hotel.... rating 3.... Though the bed was great and comfortable and the bathroom nice.... All bec. of housekeeping....
We stayed two nights at this comfortable hotel in Florence. The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was equipped with the usual toiletries. The location appeared to be remote from the areas of interest, and on one evening we strolled a fair distance to find a restaurant for our evening meal. The breakfasts were acceptable, and on one evening we were provided with dinner as part of our travel group. The meal was acceptable, but not outstanding.
The hotel was ok, I booked a superior deluxe room because in the photo they has a balcony and we're traditionally furnished, I was given a design room that was blue light white plastic furniture no wardrobes or drawers. I went straight to reception and asked for the room I booked, they didn't have one available they gave me another design with a balcony but it was right on the street and 4thfloor , I was made to feel it was my fault. The tea and coffe were not replaced in our room even though we rang reception and asked.
I would have given this hotel a 4* rating if it had not placed me in a single room on its 6th floor. I was on a holiday with the Royal Horticultural Society to view gardens and villas in and around Florence. The holiday was organised by Brightwater Tours and I paid a £500 single supplement charge. To my shock the room was so small I could not swing a cat. The bed is a 2.5 foot wide couch in the room. The fittings in the bathroom is old. I was disappointed to find that my fellow tour mates had been allocated rooms with proper twin beds. When I complained they gave me a room with a small double bed on the second floor the next day. Just be aware that the sixth floor has yet to be renovated. Otherwise the hotel serves delicious titbits at their bar for cocktail hours. I even recommend their restaurant. Good food at reasonable prices. In fact I had the best linguine vongole there. Considering I moved on to the Savoy in Florence after the tour ended, trust me this restaurant prices are reasonable! In addition there was a good selection at breakfast. It does take a 10 to 15 minutes walk to the centre of Florence but you can pick up bottles of water at a cafe around the corner.
Stayed here while on a tour of Italy. Room was a nice size but it wasn't the cleanest. Shower was odd in the bathroom. Beds were hard and pillows were thin. Ate in the restaurant and the food wasn't bad but nothing special.
This hotel is just 10 minutes far from train station, Santa Maria novella, clean and acceptable italian breakfast. Wifi works good and kind staffs Thanks all the receptionist and bell boys Tip: is perfect if you want to just have a short stay in Florence and go on by train
Very nice hotel, location is perfect for visiting florence and Toscany region next to Santa Maria Novella station. The staff is very helpful. the rooms are spacious and clean. The Breakfast is fresh with large choice. We stayed for 4 nights and we really enjoyed this hotel. We do recommend this hotel for family and business trip.
We stayed there 4 nights in august and we're quite happy with our choice. Personal is profesional, helpful and polite. The street is not very nice but it is close to the center and there are numerous excellent restaurants around. If you rent a car they have a parking under the hotel for 20€ per night. architecturally it's an old hotel but nicely decorted inside. We hade one of the older rooms, not the more modern. We'll never know if it was because we reserved through Booking or because we where 3. Anyway all the confort was there, good insolation from the very noisy street also. And to top it all they have a very good and large continental breakfast.
Nice hotel, well located and helpful staff. Nice variety for breakfast. Room was spacious, clean a bit dated as well as the decor. In my experience beds are too soft, other than that, it was very good.
