This hotel is great, the hotel is located very near all Florence Tourist attractions, you can go walking everywhere very easy. The breakfast is very good. The rooms are very large, they are very well mantained. The service was excelent!
The location is so convenient and central, hands down. Our windows overlooked a major street that was bustling on a Sunday afternoon. But when we closed the windows, we couldn't hear anything outside. So, great soundproof windows. :) We declined an upgrade but were granted the upgrade for complimentary anyway (perhaps it was because it was during a quiet season) which was a nice touch. Our bed was 2 beds combined into 1 which was interesting, but it worked and it wasn't too uncomfortable. The bathroom had 2 toilets - one standard and the other a bidet. The shower was walk-in and had a rain-shower head which was nice. The interior was excellently and elegantly decorated. The breakfast buffet was EXCELLENT. I so enjoyed the cappuccino! The attendants at the breakfast were very attentive. They came over to take our drink orders within the first couple of minutes. The museum downstairs was simple but very interesting because of its history. The customer service provided by those at the concierge desk was EXCELLENT and attentive. When I told them I was going to head over to the Hertz car rental office, they called the Hertz office to notify them that I was coming so that they wouldn't close before siesta. When I got to the Hertz office, they were expecting me and hadn't closed the office yet. Also, there is a lobby area on the first floor (like a fancy enclosed living room) that is open for guests to use. It was beautiful and I felt like I was transported into royal history. The location, interior design, architecture, customer service, breakfast -- everything was excellent. Thank you for a memorable stay!!!
We so enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Brunelleschi! When we arrived, Antonella greeted us with a smile, checked us in, upgraded our room, called to confirm our museum tours the following day, and found a shop nearby that repaired my suitcase that had been treated very badly by the airline. Our room was beautiful, quiet, and comfortable. And the daily breakfast was to die for! Meat, fruit, breads, olives, cheeses, jams, cereals, pancakes, yogurts, and, most importantly, hot coffee and attentive service. The hotel is in the center of everything, steps away from the Duomo, museums (check out the one in the basement about their historical tower) and quaint restaurants perfect to spend an hour or so people watching. We will most certainly stay with them again!
We Stayed 3 night in this first class hotel where We had a fantastic stay. The hotel staff is friendly and professional, they give good suggestion about the city. Our room was elegant , with all modern comfort, clean and quite. We enjoyed our stay and will come back for sure.
We had a wonderful time in Florence between Christmas and New Year. The location of the hotel couldn't be better. Just 2 minutes walk to the Duomo and fabulous shops. We loved the Republic Square which was always buzzing and found a bar/restaurant at the end of the square which had fabulous live music every night. The reception staff at the hotel and manager were always cheerful and welcoming. We stayed for 3 nights and stayed in 3 different rooms, that was our choice because the first room we were given didn't give us quite a good view of the Duomo so we were given another room which we preferred. The second room was also lovely but again didnt give us the view that we wanted but the third room was wonderful also. Overall we would recommend this hotel. Just a point we felt breakfast although in a bright spacious room we felt the food could have been more exciting. The hot food, eggs, sausages, mushrooms with tofu (not to my liking) was always cold, even though it was served under domes to keep the food hot. It was never hot and the plates given were never heated. After the second day I gave up and stuck to bread and cheese. Again I was disappointed that with all the amazing bakeries and pastry shops those on display for breakfast were extremely boring. The same goes for the few cakes on display - they were just boring. Plain pastry and plain cakes. Im sure if the chef had a little more imagination he could have ordered some more interesting ones. You must ask for hot coffee otherwise it comes cold, It is a lovely smart hotel and the Manager Mr Stefano and Staff couldn't do more to make your stay comfortable.
Myself and my girlfriend stayed here for 2 days on a short break before heading down to Rome for an additional 2 nights. The Hotel is stylish and very clean, the bedrooms were a good size and the beds were very comfortable. The staff are very polite and helpful. My only criticism would be the price of the drinks in the hotel bar on average €20 for a drink a small Cardinal Mendoza brandy and an apparol spritz €42. We found some great bars and restaurants off the beaten track the same drinks were €12 for both. You can guess the bar was empty.but a great hotel too staying to explore L Florence.
From the moment you walk into the quaint lobby from alley way, you are greeted by a courteous staff. The lobby is beautifully decorated. The rooms are modern, clean and classy. The hotel is in the middle of the main shopping strip as well as restaurants and attractions. It is within a 15 min walk to the main train station and a 20 min cab drive to the airport. The breakfast room was well decorated with an extensive breakfast menu. The work out room is nice and well equipped. The hotel restaurant is a gem. This is just an awesome small hotel to stay in Florence.
When the hotel magazine tells you that you can't bring food into your room from anywhere else however for 20+ Euro's you can bring it into one of their bars....that's not friendly. However, the people that worked in the breakfast room, that cleaned our room, and that we saw in the hall were gracious. The food in the breakfast room was the same everyday but there were lots of choices and some fancy. The rooms were clean and everything is a shade of popular grey....we have definitely moved on from taupe all over Italy. The hotel has a great history and, of course, Dan Brown wrote about the hotel in one of his books. But it's hard to find, and the overall ambiance is cold. There was nothing WRONG with it but would I stay there again? No, I would try for a warmer, kinder, and more welcoming place....and one that did not tell me that I could not bring a snack into my room. REALLY???
This is an amazing hotel. Tucked in a small street in the heart of Florence, it's beautiful, historic and luxurious. Friendly and accommodating hotel staff and great rooms with all of the amenities of a luxury hotel, within a stone's throw of the best attractions in Florence and one amazing restaurant after another. The only drawback for us was the lobby bar, a little pretentious and very pricy. There's a small wine bar directly across the hotel's entrance with excellent and reasonably priced wines that we would definitely recommend over the hotel lobby bar
My husband and I stayed at Hotel Brunelleschi over Christmas. The location was perfect - right in the heart of Florence. The rooms were lovely and the gym, though small, had the basics to keep fit. The were staff were helpful. There wasn’t room for us to have Christmas lunch at the hotel restaurant, which has very good reviews, but the concierge kindly booked us into another restaurant, which was very good. The breakfast buffet was great too!
