I organized a scientific trip in Florence for 40 PhD students of the university of Vienna and we stayed in Villa Fieosole. I think was the perfect choice for us. The Villa is really nice with a great view on the city. The breakfast was complete and high quality. The stuff was really helpful and organized in managing such a big group. I personally highly recommend it!

My Wife and I can't express enough how much we enjoyed our stay in FH Villa Hotel Fiesole. Impeccable service, rooms and staff and easy access to all Florence has to offer while being removed from the hustle and bustle tucked away in the idyllic Fiesole countryside. We want to make a special mention to Concierge staff member Stefano, who went ABOVE and BEYOND to take care of us during our stay. He was polite, professional and helped us with everything we needed. The hotel world is lacking staff members like Stefano who truly believe in customer service. A+, 10/10. Will be coming back for a second stay!!!!

The hotel has a very beautiful view up high on a hillside looking down at Florence. It also has a very nice terrace where you can eat, drink and just take in the view. This was our favorite part. However, you are stuck eating here if you don't have a car to get up the hill to Fiesole or down the hill to Florence. The street is too treacherous to walk on. Also, we had very poor service from this hotel. We had to leave early to catch our train to Cinque Terre, and confirmed with two front desk people the night before that a cab would be there to pick us up. We also asked for to-go breakfasts with coffee, which they said would be fine. When we got there in the morning no cab was called and no coffee was included with our very slim to-go breakfast. The front desk attendant was not even apologetic that they didn't set up a cab for us. We would not return.

Pleasant stay and nice rooms Friendly staff Steep driveway and quite a few steps - keep in mind from a luggage point of view Great location with bus stop right out the front Gorgeous views! Would definitely return.

Just returned from Villa Fiesole and was a relief to escape There is generally no public space to sit and relax other than the expensive restaurant The 'Deluxe' room we had contained no chair to sit in Our shower flooded the room twice and they seemed incapable of fixing the problem so I used a tool I had with me to repair it temporarily. I suggested it needed a more permanent solution but no one came to fix it They seemed not to care about anything other than over charging. Even when we were forced out of our room due to flooding they offered no repair service or compensation. The breakfast room is too cramped and hence stressful. The food is very boring with no cooked eggs and some of the materials not as fresh as they should be. The location is not good if you plan to use the bus as the No 7 is a poor service - always crowded

OK, the good bits! • Great location – overlooking Florence and a short bus journey from the town centre • Friendly, helpful staff • Good restaurant, with wonderful views and good food • Despite what some reviews state, we found the breakfast quality and variety excellent. Everything was always fresh, so yes you might have to wait a few minutes for some fresh bacon or egg – but quality and freshness is more important than speed. Choose from fresh fruit, fresh natural yogurt, cereals, breads, fruit juices, pastries, cakes, smoked salmon, good cheeses, ham, prosciutto, excellent coffee and teas, egg, bacon and much more - even complimentary sparkling wine. • Any easy walk or bus ride up the hill to the ancient and peaceful town of Fiesole for a break from Florence and its crowds. A few local and quality places to eat, a small Coop supermarket to buy cheese, prosciutto, wine or water (and lots more), a cute ice cream parlour, and a bar beside the town square with further views over Florence. • Wonderful frescos on the room ceilings. The not so good: • On arrival, the room we were allocated (119) was poor. A long power cable across the floor to drive the mini-bar. A broken shower head. More like a dungeon than a hotel room. • We immediately raised this with reception. They advised the hotel was full, however could move us the following day. They kept their word and moved us to a really nice room (115) with a huge stone balcony with table, chairs, umbrella – again overlooking Florence. • However, this was slightly marred by me having to immediately repair the bathroom sink drain, and that the shower screen had a seal missing which meant a shower caused a flood. • The complimentary internet appears to block VPNs and also block many innocent web sites – e.g. why block your mobile phone operator? Tips: • Do not be concerned about walking on the road to town. There is no sidewalk, however local drivers are used to this, and you will be safe. Otherwise take the bus (every 15 or 20 minutes). It is very short walk. • Our GPS systems could not find the address. If you have this problem, the hotel shares its entrance with the Belmond Villa St. Michelle (ultra-expensive and on most maps and GPS systems)

Overall we enjoyed our stay but our room was close to the main road which is noisy also we were by an entrance door so had people rather noisily walking in and out talking and banging the door late at night and early in the morning so not really the peaceful Fiesole stay we had imagined. Our deluxe room and bathroom were clean and very spacious. We had Dinner here on the first evening as there was a bike race so the main road was closed to Fiesole. We shared an antipasti starter as soon as we finished, it was whipped away and our mains served immediately then my pasta was undercooked so I sent it back and received no apology. For dessert three scoops of icecream is €9 which is frankly ridiculous. We would not recommend eating here there are much better restaurants in Fiesole. Staff are extremely helpful and friendly and reception can sell you bus tickets for the No.7 bus which easily takes you to Fiesole (few minutes) on the side of the road the hotel is on and to Florence(20mins) on the opposite side of the road get off in Piazza Marco to walk to all tourist areas of Florence. Definitely prebook all tickets to tourist attractions as it gets so busy and we missed out on some as we hadn't booked. The views from the hotel are stunning and the terrace is lovely to relax with a drink. We also received a complimentary drink our first evening which was a very nice surprise. The pool is very small really ideal just for a dip not for swimming but we didn't get to use it as the weather was not hot enough. Great location just outside Florence excellent base for exploring.

It's too far from city center, never get the rooms downstairs because downstairs room had funky smell , our room was too noisy because of the cars and roads , our room had few jacks and when we were using the bathroom a huge puddle appeared in the bathroom so we had to use all of our towels for drying the floor or tolerate the wetness, and it has lots of stairs so it's hard to move luggages and the towels seemed so old but everything was neat and when we were leaving at 7 am lights went off we packed our bags in total darkness.

Loved the location of this hotel overlooking Florence ,with a pool and easy access by bus to the centre . However the bathroom was tiny and smelt as no ventilation . The bar tab for a gin and tonic was 12 euros and so excessive for hotel guests

This very special hotel is is everything you could imagine to make your Tuscan vacation the best! The staff is amazing - friendly, knowledgeable and the perfect host. The location is breathtaking, with a view of the city of Florence below. Walk along the beautiful garden, have a dip in the pool, then have cocktails and dinner on the beautiful terrace overlooking Florence. Breakfast has the largest and freshest selection I have experienced in my travels. There is space to wander or just sit and read a book. The rooms are beautifully appointed and very clean. Comfortable beds and ample bathroom. Christine at the front desk was eager to help with any plans that I needed assistance with. Travelling to Italy for decades. This is my new favorite hotel!
