Excellent place to stay. The breakfast if well worth the extra money!!

Very nice hotel in the perfect location for walking to all the most important sights in Florence. Wonderful staff, clean, comfortable...I would be careful to ask for a room that is not over the street, as it can be noisy, and the breakfast is so so; but those would be my only negative comments.

Very good hotel at great location in historic Florence. I would definitely stay here again, as the room was clean, good breakfast, and all the main sites are within walking distance.

The best thing about this hotel is its location. You are pretty much in the center of everything. The only think we did not like about this hotel was the noise level. You could hear everyone walking in the lobby as the doors were not soundproof.

Hotel location is perfect, just a few blocks from he cathedral and Ponte Vecchio. Rooms are small but comfortable. Bathroom wasn't cleaned well. Would stay again.

Staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. Breakfast was great. Location could hardly be better - blocks to the Duomo to one side and the Piazza della Signoria to the other. Good restaurants and shopping all around. Beautiful, clean room. Shower stall is small, but that's bit unusual for Italian hotels.

The location of this hotel cannot be overstated: it is superb, right near the Duomo and all the best shopping and restaurants. The rooms were comfortable and the staff was lovely. Breakfast was nice: not over the top but quite adequate. I would highly recommend.

Great location, good value, good room. Would give it 5 stars but our room was near the breakfast area. It got very loud and annoying starting at 6:30 each morning. Most of the noise was from the staff talking to each other and banging stuff. When we asked for the staff to be a little quieter, the management shrugged and offered us another room that would have been directly above the breakfast room and not any quieter. Good hotel, just stay away from the first floor breakfast room.

The Calzaiuoli Hotel is in an outstanding location just blocks from both the Duomo and the Uffizi Gallery in central Florence. The room was rather small but very clean and nicely appointed with a large, marble bathroom. The staff were very nice and the included breakfast was well beyond most hotels. We would readily stay here again. It's a Great value!

Just returned today from Italy. Spent 7 nights in Room 410, a corner room with a view of the Giatto's Bell Tower and the Duomo and another window with a view straight to the Piazza Republica at Calzaiuoli Hotel Florence> This trip was a celebration trip with my adult daughter, and we were treated royally. The entire staff work as a team to ensure quality control and to make sure the experience is the best possible. Location , location, location...perfect for any day trip in Tuscany as well as all points in Florence. Truly in the heart of the Old Town and just a very quick trip from the airport and minutes from the train station. In walking distance to everywhere worth seeing, which is everything in Florence. Morning breakfast was included for us at Calzaiuoli Hotel Florence and was a treat everyday! The Hotel is close to great shopping and dining or just picking up a quick bite and running to the next stop! This is our 3rd trip to Calzaiuoli Hotel Florence and our family has always, always had best highest level of satisfaction all the way around!

Staff was attentive, friendly and helpful. Great breakfast, cold and hot items available. Location is perfect, near all mayor sites. There are two cafes next to the hotel, nice when getting in late and you need a snack before bed. Only negative was the bathroom, its tiny. Overall, I recommend it.

We had an amazing time at Hotel Calzaiuoli, Florence. I don't think we could have found a more perfect hotel. -The location cannot be beat. In the middle of the city next to Piazza Signoria. We were able to walk everywhere and FAST. There were 20 gelato places within a 60 second walk of the hotel -Free wifi: and it worked well! -The rooms were clean, and very comfortable. Our room faced the back and we heard 0 street noise -The staff went out of their way to help us with everything -Free breakfast was very good. (buffet style, like an extra nice continental breakfast) We would recommend this to anyone visiting Florence. I'm not sure if they have on-site parking given its central location, but if you stay here you definitely do not need to rent a car. Everything is within a 10-15 minute walk (and usually even shorter)

This hotel has a great location. It is walking distance to nearly every major sight, on a fun, interesting thoroughfare with nice shops, and a few meters to a beautiful plaza with frequent street performers and a carousel. The bed and overall room were comfortable with good air-conditioning. I didn't give 5 stars here because it wasn't the most comfortable; my husband thought the bed was too hard, I thought the pillows too hard, and why can't even nice hotels in Europe have shower doors? You had to be very careful or you would get the entire bathroom all wet. Beautiful marble bathroom however, really nice provided tolietries and tasteful furnishings and decor. Also, the included breakfast was delicious and complete with eggs, breakfast meats, cheeses, fresh pastries, etc. and nice waitress service. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Located at the heart of the city. A 30 second walk from the Duomo. The rooms were spacious and clean. The bathrooms were fantastic as well. Breakfast was delicious. We were extremely comfortable and would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Florence.

This hotel is located on the Via Calzaiuoli, which is the main shopping street in downtown Florence. It is almost equidistant from the Duomo and the Piazza della Signoria (each are about a two-minute walk) and literally right next door to "COIN", which is the leading department store in Florence. It is also only a block away from the Piazza della Republica, a favorite spot to dine for American tourists. The breakfast is superb with wonderful service from two quite gracious women; if you are there off season, you are likely to hear four or five different languages from the clientele, who are mostly staying in Florence on business trips. There is virtually no noise in the hotel, since it is in the pedestrian area of the inner city, where no auto traffic is allowed. Highly recommend this hotel; if we return to Florence, it will undoubtedly receive our business once again.

This is an excellent hotel at a great price. I stayed a week as I tried to see every museum and church in Florence. I plan to stay there again. It would be impossible to find a better location. This hotel is at the very center of the historic district. Great restaurants at all price ranges are within a few blocks. The staff is friendly, responsive and professional. Breakfast, served in a pretty room, is substantial. Via Calzaiuoli is a busy pedestrian street, exciting but noisy. Service trucks come early in the morning---and church bells ring in the Duomo Campanile. I requested a front room because I wanted to watch the street traffic. The inner shutters blocked out most of the noise but I still needed ear plugs. On my next visit I will request a quieter room in the back of the hotel. The views are pleasant and the rooms are slightly larger. The hotel is small and the rooms are small. There is a small library but no lobby.
